Pretty much. The best part was that a DISer happened to be in the area and wanted to know if they knew about the Roy.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the important part. This was a surprise!! My family thought we were staying in a cat 6.

Joyce FamOf8 said do you mind if I tag along? I said, no I don't mind. She said I have a camera and it takes video would you like me to video them going into the room. I thought this was too good to pass up so we have the following:

no snow yet...thank goodness!! very cold though...we've been so spoiled this winter with mild weather, and i'm not ready for the cold now!

I am not shy about saying' we'll sail in any normal catagory for this voyage. It's just a matter of getting through reasonably early and NOT getting INSULTED with sharply higher rates. Even so - we'll book initially and then pull out a calculator, Frankly - I sort of think there is a number I have in mind that is OK to fund for the PC voyage here.... and I don't expect to see it exceeded. The only thing is I would prefer to be HAPPY with the catagory I get for the money - does that make any sense?

I could pay any amount - up to the going rate for a cat 1 - as I'm sure many of us could. That is, if we decided sell a car or something... <chuckles>. So - are any of us gonna do that... Noooooo. So - we all set a figure in mind - and some of us have minimum standards for cabin. And in my case - I draw the line just above the BROOM CLOSET suggested by LBGraves!

Yes it makes sense. I'm pretty much in the same boat. I know what I'd like to get, but I'll take whatever the budget allows, short of stowing away.

Shannon -where are you in NY? We are about 50 miles south of Albany, just got home from seeing Toby Keith - we left Albany and it was 4 degrees, got home and it was a balmy 8!

Us too - I just don't know if I could spend 15 days in an inside room without going nuts. I gave the TA at DU the categories we're interested in, and we had rebooked on board so we should get (keeping fingers crossed) the 10% discount and stateroom credit from DCL, so now we'll have to wait and see what happens next Wednesday.

we are a tiny town called waverly...it's right on the NY/PA border. about 40 mins east of binghamton. we're basically a tiny blip on the map!

yep....it's a whopping 3 degrees here right now. i'm really hoping that they cancel school for the kids tomorrow. last year they did cuz we have a lot of walkers in the district...mine are included! i do home daycare and there is no way that i can get out to drive them tomorow...so i'm hoping for a cancellation.

Quick remark before I toss the kids in the tub...

Here is one possible solution for getting ONE BERTH FREE... pack your spouse in this nifty BOX and ship the box to the ship! Look how sparkly clean it is? Is it stowing away??? Naaaawwww - cuz your spouse does not have to go to any sit down meals - just have him/her go to TOpsiders for meals!

Oh, I love Toby Keith. Went to see him here in Phoenix last year. Hope he comes to town again soon.

So, I just get back from my second 13 hour workday in a row (it's all or nothing-and this week it's all) and after catching up on most of the posts I missed- everyone is off to bed, 'HI STACEY- NO LUCK YET- EH?' Hopefully you'll get the call tommorrow.
I guess I'll toddle off to bed too- have some sleep to catch up on.

I know that CA doesn't get humid like the east coast but when you get to the PC it is going to be HOT!
