I just got a recipe while I was getting my hair cut (and the grey ones dyed!) that seems really simple. I'm trying it tonight, so I'll let you know. She said she marinates chicken in Paul Newman's Sesame Ginger salad dressing and then grills it. So....side of rice and a salad and I"m done!

Please let us know how this comes out!

Kathy, Those shells sound good! But nosy me wants to know what's coming in the mail from Wendie?! Because if it's Maine Lobsters, I'm going to be waiting outside your house & hijack your mailman!

:rotfl: I CAN send lobsters.......but they do come to you alive, and you better be prepared on the sounds they make when you throw them in the pot of boiling water........they try to scurry up the sides of the pot and they "scream"...:scared1: ............I have grown up with it so that it doesn't phase me, in fact we always put them on the floor and have races with them....loser gets put in the pot first......................:rolleyes1

I will not kill a lobster, oh no that's not for me! We go to a local store that has them in a tank and pick them out and the store cooks(kills) them for us. Do they really scream?

You are soo cruel! I love it:rotfl: Sounds so much like something my dad would have done he had a wicked sense of humor.

Oh those screams...who ever know they could be so loud??? :scared:

I never want to be the one to cook the suckers we catch after a day of crabbing but boy are they so good especially in gravy (tomato sauce)!

So they don't really scream? I know I sound so naive right now, but you really had me believing this!!:lmao:

I just called DH at work and he said to tell y'all good job - ya got me. He knows how gullible I am, but I do laugh at myself too!

Imagine what a pot of boiling, screaming crawfish would sound like! :scared1:

:lmao:

OK, now I know they don't scream. Thanks, lucas, for putting in perspective for my itty bitty mind. I'm glad shovan wasn't around for this, she would have had a great time with me on this one. I thing I deserve a tag "dreads the lobster scream"!!:rotfl2:

I have been told that they do make a screaming noise but it's the air in the shell or something - not the lobster actually screaming. But what do I know?

Tonight's dinner - was going to be Dubliner stuffed chicken (have y'all had Dubliner cheese before?) but I'm tired and don't want to mess with it so I'm fixing myself good ol' tuna casserole. It's a childhood fave that DH can't stand and he's playing basketball tonight so I am going to make it all for myself! YUM!

What does it sound like? Zilla, if you're messing with me I will get you back!

I am being serious about the crabs and I do not think I ever cooked lobster, well maybe when my brother lived in Maine, but crabs scream when they hit the water for a few minutes and they try to get out of the pot. It is a very high pitched sound...kinda like nails down a black board.

Yuk - I don't want to hear it!:rotfl:

Ok...the chicken in the dressing...not great. It was ok. It would be excellent in a stir fry. Still like Rachel Ray's chicken teriyaki best. I made mushroom risotto....I know, it doesn't go at all with the theme, but I love it, and that turned out really well.

Love the lobster races idea! Seems only fair that the loser goes first . My kids will love that the next time we cook them!

Screaming lobsters....should we take a poll???

 Truthfully, isn't it just the steam escaping from them?

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Too funny!

No, the lobsters don't scream. If you drop them in headfirst into the boiling beer water, they die instantly. Very humane.

Unlike the David Letterman episode I saw years ago where a chef was cooking crabs and he just stuffed them into a hot sautee pan and the crabs were trying to climb out, pushing on the lid and everything. I thought Dave was going to puke. :scared1:
