The HR recruiter remembered me, I applied for an AP Supervisor job last year and she interviewed me on the phone and wanted to bring me in but the salary was no where near what I needed!!

Holly, that's great news! Hockey equipment is so expensive otherwise. My siblings and I played it for years, and my mom begged us not to be interested in the goalie position, because she couldn't afford another set of equipment! It was ok.. my brother and sister played offence and I played defense.

Oh, I know how expensive it is. My ex-husband (before Tyler's dad) played since he was 4 years old, still plays in adult leagues, played travel hockey in school, so he and his family always talked about how expensive it was.

Tyler always goes in the store at the rink to try on all the gear and asks when he'll be getting some. One guy at a store told me if I bought all new stuff, it would cost a total of around $600 for everything he needs. Thank goodness for my co-worker's neice GIVING me her kids' old stuff! She refuses any money. I'll make sure I treat the next few times we go out for dinner or drinks.

We have a hotel reservation and I think we are going to keep it! Yeah, that means Sunday Morning waffle house breakfast....although no hangovers!

Are you all doing door signs etc? I have absolutely no idea how to go about them, so not sure what to do. Not techy at all, so they would be so basic(stickers etc) they would look pathetic.

Could pinch a few off stateroom doors on our cruise in December I suppose!!!

Back from running errands...finally mailed all of mom's paperwork out....had to get all the attachments together and copy everything and send out with return signature required. That's Done! In one to two months we should hear back.

Marilyn, you need to get Tivo or any digitally recordable television. Even though there's nothing to watch on tv, I have hours of recorded programming on my DirecTV. I have movies and weekly shows and I don't have to watch commercials. I record more than I watch, so I always have something available.

HAPPY FRIDAY the weekend is here!!!!! Gotta keep doing mom's house. Going out to dinner Sat night with Lucy and Bob mini DISmeet. Football on Sunday. An easy weekend.

Venetia, I just got your get well card....you and Bubba are the best! Thank you so much for thinking of me and sending it out...it's so nice of you! It was a bright spot in my day and made me smile. Thanks so much!

Sure you know the Cleveland Indians are moving into a new home shortly for Spring Training here in Arizona. The new training complex is being built only five minutes from our home. We will be adopting the Indians as our new Spring Training team to watch. Nothing beats Spring Training in Arizona. Well . . . . . . take that back, Florida would be awesome!

My mom has breast cancer. It was found in both biopsied sites and they are each of a different kind of cancer, neither of them good. We are looking at surgery the week of 9/24. Between now and then she is having a CT (lung and pelvis) and MRI (both breasts) to rule out cancer being in any more sites. If they find nothing more, simple surgery, if there is more, then I'm not sure what if anything will be done.

I haven't slept well for 3 nights and have had a migraine lingering for 5.

Send mom, me (& my family) the prayers and pixie dust for now we need them.

I'll be reading, but I doubt I'll post in the next few days/weeks.

As you may have noticed, we really are sick fans when it come to Oregon. At some point will takes some photo's of our office. Life pretty much surrounds the Ducks during football and basketball season. Just in case you missed the game, below are highlights from the Michigan game.

Honestly, we do enjoy the Florida Gators too. Really enjoyed the NC game last year. We had tickets with a former player of Urban Meyers. He played offensive line for the Utah Utes the season before Urban Meyers left for UF. Andrew (nephew of Shawn's immediate boss) only had great things to say of him and was calling out a ton of the plays by the formations UF was in.
