funny.......i had my first dressing fitting on february 1, 2002.....i remember that date. it was the first time something didn't fit me!!!! my wedding was in april and i had found the dress in august. i was 25 years old and had never had a problem keeping the weight off before. well, in august i'm smaller than i am in february because i just carry more weight in the winter (or at least i used to) and so in august i had bought a size 6 dress. well, in february, it wouldn't zip up! i was HORRIFIED!!!!!!!! i went on a hardcore very low fat diet and lost too much weight.....the entire time i was tugging at my strapless dress because it kept falling down! that was 6 years ago and i've slowly been gaining weight since. but now i'm losing it so i guess that's all that matters! good luck on dress shopping!

Dawn, does your wedding dress fit you now?

i don't know. i had it professionally cleaned and preserved by a dry cleaner (where they put it in an air-tight box so it won't turn yellow) so that i couldn't pull it out and try it on and get depressed. :rotfl2:

i think it's always easier to take in a dress rather than let one out. oh, and don't take the advice of the salespeople that work there as far as size......try it on! they asked me at the time what dress size i wore and i told them an 8 (remember this was 6 years ago before i gained my post-marriage weight). she said, "well, you'll probably need a 10 because wedding dresses tend to run small." i tried on a 10 and it FELL OFF ME. i ended up buying a 6.......just the opposite of what she told me! i mean, obviously you're going to try your wedding dress on before you buy it. i'm just saying you may want to pick out a few sizes to see which one fits you best instead of taking the salesperson's advice because they don't always know best!
 
allie - i may have already missed you or you may not be checking this thread before you leave, but i bought cinderella on DVD today before they returned it to the "disney vault" and i'm watching it and they said they're releasing lady and the tramp on DVD soon. just wanted you to know! i'll try to remember to tell you when you get back if you didn't see this.
 
I am having the most awful day.I am checking in here instead of doing what I really want to do-binge eat.AF came today along with horrible cramps and cravings,DH has hurt his toe pretty badly so I am taking care of him,Peyton is being more sassy mouthed than usual,and Rachel won't stop crying!I swear that child cries over absolutely everything lately! It got worse while I was working 60 hrs a week over the holidays and it doesn't seem to be getting better.Sorry to vent...

My day started with forgetting my breakfast and lunch and then ended with not eating dinner until I was past hungry..

8:30am-South beach bar(3 pts)
10:00am-cereal bar(3 pts)
12:30pm-yogurt(1 pt)
2:30pm-WW meal(5 pts)
7:00pm-cheese stick(2 pts)
7:30pm-100 cal pk cookies(2 pts)
8:00pm-mini Subway sub(4 pts) light doritos(3 pts)
9:15 pm-rice crispie treat(2 pts)
Total-25 pts which is 3 pts over
Exercise-30 min on the treadmill

Gotta go check an essay for Tyler and find Rachel.She doesn't want to go to bed so she is hiding from me...at least she is quiet..:rolleyes1

BTW,I don't always comment on what is going on here but I am reading every day and getting alot of support...
 
Bonnie, funny I was looking for something to support what my sister told me yesterday how we eliminate fat and she said it was from all the peeing we do from drinking water. Not sure. I'm sure it's a combination of several things.

It got worse while I was working 60 hrs a week over the holidays and it doesn't seem to be getting better.Sorry to vent...

I know exactly how you feel! Sometimes all I want to do is say FORGET IT!!! and binge..but afterwards you just wind up feeling miserable anyway. Give yourself 2 minutes and do something like check up on the dis and your cravings should subside.
 
Well its official I just booked my honeymoon and We are going to DISNEY -LAND!!! for 4 nights 5 days on our way back from Maui!

Can you believe that The Grand Californian is almost sold out for the dates i want in OCTOBER..scary! The travel agent just called me and said she was able to get us a Parkview Room.

I was just thinking of all the things I have going on this year to motivate me but sometimes I still want to just want to fat out.

I have my bachelorette party at WDW in May. My wedding day and my honeymoon in Maui & disneyland..if the above doesnt motivate me..nothing will!

Well, I am still at home. We are NOT going to Disneyland this weekend. Our flight for tomorrow was cancelled due to mechanical failure, and that was all it took to push DH over the edge. He didn't think he could do it, and if we didn't cancel tonight, we would lose ALL the money as opposed to half. The next flight out that we could be guaranteed seats next to each other on was about 6 hours later. After a LOT of :sad1: , we have decided to cancel this trip, and we are planning to go for a longer trip out there next December instead of WDW. And I don't know what we are doing yet this weekend. We are trying to figure it out right now. So, I'll check in later on Peeps. Just wanted to let you all know what was going on.

come up to Chicago for the Weekend - do a museum - do Priceline for a 4 star hotel on Michigan Ave - and just enjoy yourself - the Hyatt has those HUGE Cosmos!! :grouphug:
 
every night this week a huge Raccoon has jumped on our roof, and dh goes running outside with his head lamp to chase it away!! :sad2:

oh, and you know what i really hate? when your coffee filter collapses on one side and you get coffee grinds in the pot......it ruins the entire batch of coffee!!!! YUCK! :mad:

DH makes the coffee here, and when this happens, I say, "Mmmm, crunchy!"

Lynda~ I'm so sorry you aren't going this weekend. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I hate it when my plans get cancelled, it's even worse when it's for Disney.

Sandy~ I'll be thinking about you!! You are so awesome to set this goal and go for it. I'm trying to get started with the C25K program. I actually ran tonight!!! It's because of you! If you can do a half marathon, there is no reason why I can't run, maybe we'll have to run together sometime. (Next year's race sounds pretty good, I just need to get a few 5Ks in first.)

Wendy~ Lay off the sodas. I'm serious, they could be causing your headaches instead of helping them. DH gets migraines and if he has too much soda or salt he's bound for an aching head.

I was not a very peepish person today. I didn't eat when i got up because we had to run an errand. I got home and had a very starch filled lunch. I ate a nice dinner at work but gave into the no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. (140 cals, 8g fat, 2g fiber= 3 extra pts) Dh was my downfall though, he wanted Taco Bell when I got home. I don't normally eat that late but it sounded good. I had soft tacos and a diet soda. 15 pts!!! :headache: I was doing so good too, I don't know why I do this to myself. I got on the TM and did a mile in 15 min 8 sec but I know I didn't burn nearly enough of the extra calories. I had over 30 pts today, using almost half of my flex pts for the week. I have to be strong and do better. I can do this!

I've got to get to bed, I've been bad and stayed up until 2am all week...... It's a good thing I don't have to be at work until 1pm but I still need to spend some time with my family.

Im Sooooo sorry this had to happen to you!!! My heart broke when I read this ..I really feel for you. I hate when the airlines do this. Its truly scary how there is sometimes nothing you can do about it!!! There was a snow storm here last St. Patricks Day (the one AFTER the people were on jet blue flights for over 10 hours!) American Airlines canceled our sunday morning flight to Puerto Rico the night before we were suppose to go to the airport. When i called the next flight out they could get us on was THURSDAY!!!!! What a mess!!! ...

Trust me it always works out for the best! I was so disappointed that day our flight was cancelled, once we found out the next flight out was Thursday we decided to just forget Puerto Rico and book WDW again!!!!

My eating has been going well, but i am still having issues fitting into my clothes! Wendy, what diet are you doing? South Beach??? I do much better when I cutr down on the carbs!

Working alot at my new job and no time to DIS while at work. Bummer! :sad2: I miss you guys alot!! I need to try to make time at night while watching TV, which i really haven't been doing alot of either!

Aaron..Can you put me down for 10 lbs by Valentines Day? I want to get in this challenge and really do it this time! I a going by my weight on New Years Day as a starting point. Thanks! :banana:

Off to get stew in the crock-pot, pack my lunch, get in 30 min of exercise, shower, go to the bank and then head to work from 11:30-6:30! WHEW! I'm tired already!!! :rotfl2:
 
Usually when I take on challenges I seem to sabatoge (sp?) myself, but I really want to lose a bit before we go to WDW on March 15, so Aaron can you please put me down for 8 pounds for the Valentine's challenge? 8 lbs - 5 weeks...I think I can... I think I can!
