WOW this is AMAZING!! I love it!!!
OK.......So here are the rest of the pics opf the room from different angles:
I still need to purchase some cork board for the wall behind- can you see how I pinned the quilt squares to the wall so I could lay them out as they are finished??? According to my husband, this is not a good thing- lol!! Problem is, for the cost of what a cork board wall is- it'd be cheaper to put up new dry wall in that area! Does anyone know where to get cheap cork board?
No cork squares - extra wide felt from JoAnn's in a neutral color. 3-5 pins in the wall (good pins...) at the top and let it hang loose. It'll hold lots of squares without pins, though a quilt top will fall off, and if something's being difficult you can pin to it. It's what I use!
Deb
I absolutely adore these. Are they very difficult? Do you think a beginner could tackle this? Is the pattern available online, or can you purchase them in the store?
Then I made a Farbenmix Anna for overtop. I used minnie dot and pirate fabric and made it reversible because I like how neat the hem is when something is reversible.
Thanks,
Melinda
You are very creative & I especially like the Easter overalls. They are c-u-t-e!!!I made these a couple of Easter's ago.
From Behind....
Your dd's are adorable & great customs! I had that Mickey fabric.you can't really see it but it's a one piece bubble that had red bows on the outer thigh part
again you can't really see it but it's a simple jumper
Karebear-awesome room & you deserve it! Can you share how you did the mini bolts of fabric inside the wire cubes? Are they the cardboard bolts from the stores or did you custom cut sizes to fit in the cubes? kwim?On the other side of the closet I assembled wire cube units into a station that can hold my fabric bundles and scraping paper. See those hangers?? Does any of this look familiar to you guys???
Does anyone know what to do about this???????
Misty-I love all the easter customs, but I especially adore the puppy outfit! Sooo cute! And here is an outfit made with the puppy material i got at wal-mart the end of FEB....she cased the bow in front from SugarBees idea But it should be tied in the back....Happy Easter all
I have had this in my head to make for awhile and finally sat now to make it today. (For some reason it look HUGE in the picture). It is not finished, I still have to finish the face and sew the straps on. But here is the "Thing" outfit.

Also, only suggestion on the wire jamba...go wireless & get a laptop. (That's my dream one day also!)
So, I'm not 100% finished yet but here is my 1st dress! Yay! I fell in love with this fabric at the store and had to get it. As some of you may remember I had started a dress with a butterick pattern and some pretty brown and pink fabric. Well, I decided to put that one on the backburner. It was a little too complicated for a beginner and for my 1st dress. I got this pattern off ycmt.com. It's the new perfect dress pattern. As you can probably see from my pictures, the gathering is kind of loose in the front on one side and it's really bothering me. I've been trying to fix it but I can't get it to stay. The thread broke so I tried to stitch in between but it's not staying. I feel like if I were to fix that gathering I'd have to undo so much and I don't wanna...haha...But I'm a perfectionist and looking at it is bothering me. Maybe it'll look different once Violette puts it on and I topstitch it. Anyone have any suggestions for fixing it without taking the whole thing apart?
That is such a great idea and very original too.I have had this in my head to make for awhile and finally sat now to make it today. (For some reason it look HUGE in the picture). It is not finished, I still have to finish the face and sew the straps on. But here is the "Thing" outfit.
I found it at Wal-Mart while looking for Pattern Ease which I did not find at WM or Hobby Lobby. For those of you who made the Forget me Knot bag, did you really use fusible fleece? I've never heard of this before..I will have to hit JoAnn's on Monday and see what I can find.
You could fix it the way that I do....Make that part the back or cover it with a bow.So, I'm not 100% finished yet but here is my 1st dress! Yay! You need to post what you made so we can all see it.OH yay!!! you did great for your first dress. Heck that looks better then the one I just finished! I really like that fabric too. I am not a great gatherer gal. I HATE it actually!! So you are not alone. But you will get better. Great job.
I think that the Easter dress is very cute (some lace might look cute on the bottom of the dress instead of a ruffle.) and I too love those dresses that are easy to whip up. I have one I want to do for DD. We haven't colored our eggs yet. DD is in Monroe till later in the week. I'm pouting cause I miss her , but she wanted to spend some with her cousins and her grandparents. On the up side I am getting a bunch of stuff done.ok ladies and Gent. here is Georgia's easter dress. I actually really do not like it! Its plain and boring, but I really really hate gathering so I didn't add the ruffle to the bottom. and I didn't have the ribbon I thought I did to make a nice bow. yeah I see it hanging up and YUCK. I soo *wish* I was a better sewing gal. Oh well. I am sure Georgia will like it, after all she picked the pattern and the dress. I really love the pattern, just not the dress I made.
Here is my fabric goodies from earlier today. I want to make a stripework jumper or skirt with the Elvis ones with the white and pink with black. ANd then another with the blue and black. Isn't it so cute. Georgia had to have it when she saw it!!
Here is Georgia this morning before the Communitiy Egg Hunt down town at the Plaza, This was one of those fabrcis from Joann's, I love the print. soo sweet. I love how easy these are to whip up. haha
I totally love this picture. It cracks me up! She was diving for an egg.
Georgia and her best friend
and here is my last picture for the night! hahaha We colored our egss today, She is wearing her daddy's work shirt.
So pretty Lisa!
I REALLY want one of these!! I need to make one!!I think my ties are less droopy this time (I said ties, Spongie, LOL).
Oh and picked up an emb. machine!!! yep the borther 750d ... woop woop!!! Excited to start using it!!!
Lori
Beautiful dress!!! Lydia says, "Mommy, that girl is so pretty!" I agree!!! I love the puppy outfit too! I have some Daisy Kingdom doggie material (I think it's pretty old, my Dad got it for me at a garage sale), maybe I should do something like this. It so cute!!!Okay so here is Jayedyn's Easter dress notice the sash at the side with Button (her Design) i think it turned out cute . and the Butterfly applique she sat on my lap and we did it together
And here is an outfit made with the puppy material i got at wal-mart the end of FEB....she cased the bow in front from SugarBees idea But it should be tied in the back....
I am finding that is very hard to sew for my soon to be 7 yr old she wants to design her own outfits and we clash heads at times but i should just do it her way unless it is going to be dreadful....
Happy Easter all
That was my understanding too.I've used alot of disigns from this thread. But my understanding is that Disney's trouble with certain Disigners was because they had "donation" buttons on thier sites. and I agree, they are great designs!![
Cindee, I love it!!! It's so cute!!!I have had this in my head to make for awhile and finally sat now to make it today. (For some reason it look HUGE in the picture). It is not finished, I still have to finish the face and sew the straps on. But here is the "Thing" outfit.
They turned out great!!! Lydia has recently discovered Pez dispensers. I could not believe she had NO idea what they were! What kind of mother am I?? But, now, she has a Buzz (who is becoming one of her favorite characters, according to Lydia) and Jasmine. She just gets so tickled about the candy coming out of them! She calls them her candy dispensers. She can't seem to remember the word "Pez"I finished my Easter madras for the boys. They just wiped themselves together, !! Could only get one of my darlings to model.....
My ds has a pose!!! We'll call this "doing the Kung Fu Panda"!! (That's the pez dispennser he's holding, that he said he couldn't live without)
I was wondering the same thing! I've never heard of it before. For those of you who made the Forget me Knot bag, did you really use fusible fleece? I've never heard of this before..I will have to hit JoAnn's on Monday and see what I can find.
Oh my goodness, that is SOOO sad! I can't believe it's over allready!Ok Boutiquers! This is the last time I'll do this to you:
I just updated my TR and it's my LAST one for a reeeeealy long time.
So this is my last shameless plug.
(and you are contractually obligated to read it LOL)
That turned out really great!!! It looks fine as it is. Good job!!!So, I'm not 100% finished yet but here is my 1st dress! Yay! I fell in love with this fabric at the store and had to get it. I think it would look ok Cause you have purple in the top part. You know I still have that purple crochet lace, do you think that would look bad on the pink?
