Mom and Dad and 2 Picky Kids do the DDP ~ With Lots of Pictures!

I'm not sure, he said they were pretty much the same. :confused3 I didn't try the pizza at CBR but I thought the Toy Story pizza was good, nothing fabulous, but good.

I guess we're getting ahead by a couple of days, but I thought their pizza was good (not great), too. Of course, I was starving! I ended up eating DD9's kids meal because she wanted the caprese salad. I was mad because I didn't think to switch our drinks, so I ended up with just the kiddie size of diet coke.

I should probably add that DS9 takes all the cheese off of his pizza. So he is only eating crust and sauce. :sad2: So I'm sure it all tastes the same to him! :confused3 :rotfl:

I don't think I have ever in my life had a meatball sub.:confused3

I have seen them, never had the guts to try one.

Tuesday Jan 20th~

We had a 5:30 dinner ADR for our arrival night at Chef Mickey's. This was our third time dining at Chef Mickey's so we pretty much knew what to expect. We arrived pretty much right on time and were seated within 10 minutes. We were seated in the back room that is behind the buffet and up a step or 2. That was the first time we were ever seated up there. It was a bit crowded and there was a table of about 8-10 behind us with lots of little kids, so it was a bit noisy up there too! But you have to expect that at character meals, so no big deal. Here is the buffet menu ~

"BUFFET PRICE : $29.99 FOR ADULTS
$14.99 FOR CHILDREN 3-9

FABULOUS SUNDAE AND DESSERT BAR"

The buffet was good as always. I'm not sure DS7 found too much to eat. I remember him coming back from his first trip to the buffet with an apple and a big roll on his plate! :rotfl: It's a good thing that kid likes bread and milk otherwise he would starve! DS9 found a little more to eat than him. And the dessert and sundae bar is amazing!

I just realized that I didn't take any food pics here, just character pics.

So overall another great experience at Chef Mickey's. But I have to say that I am getting a little tired of it and plan to skip it on the next trip. :guilty:

Thanks for the review of Chef Mickey's! We're also eating there on our arrival night in May and seeing your pictures got me even more excited! :thumbsup2

I'm in! Great start to your report! I also have a picky eater, so I know what you're talking about.;)

We've done Chef Mickey's a few times, too, and my DS wanted to go again for our April trip, but I talked him out of it. I'm all about trying new places this time! So we're doing 1900 Park Fare instead, so I'm looking forward to your report!:thumbsup2

Hi Shelly! Great update! Your boys look so happy! It's adorable. We ate at CM's for breakfast last trip. We wanted to get a dinner ressie for this trip, but were too late in making ADR's. We did get other good restaurants though, like Le Cellier.
Looking forward to more!

Sooo cute, Shelly!

Your lil one is getting so big-- he's losing the "Baby" face and taking on the look of a young man.:guilty:

I hate it when they get big.:guilty:

Anyway---
good report; it's nice when you see that some restaurants are constant and don't necessarily disappoint you- you just get to where you'd like something different.

(Which is why you need to plan your next one for, you know... :snooty: ).:thumbsup2

We love Chef Mickey's but I am also trying to talk DS7 out of it for next time. It's just hard to not go there when Minnie always spends a little extra time with him when he always tells her that she is his favorite character! So sweet. :cloud9: So who knows, we may end up back there!

I'm am so happy I stumbled upon this review. Our families have a lot in common....
I'm the VP of our PTSA and my boys are 7 and 9, too! We are going to back to Disney in March for our 4th trip, so I'm trying to make sure I have ADRs at all the good places. Your pic's should help a lot!!! :goodvibes

Sorry you couldn't get dinner at Chef Mickey's. That's a bummer. But at least you got LeCellier. :thumbsup2 It's my favorite!

Welcome! Hope I can help with your plans. What ADR's do you have?

I'm in too. Trying to decide about ADRs for our next trip in October.
