Sept 18 2010 WB TransAtlantic Pirates/Capt Jacks Re-Repoing Repossession Cruise Pt.8

Hello,

I am writing this on behalf of my inlaws, who will be on this WB Transatlantic Cruise, and they would love to attend the chapel services on Sundays on board the ship, if there will be a chapel service (I assume they would have this on board the ship).

They would love to hook up with anyone on here who might plan to attend a chapel service.

I am planning to set up an account here on the Dis boards for my inlaws so they can start writing into this board, even though it's very close to the sailing date, so if anyone replies to this and is planning or hoping to attend a chapel service on board the Magic while on the EB Transatlantic, let me know and maybe I can get my inlaws hooked up with you.

I'd love to go on this cruise, but my family will be going on the Panama Canal Cruise in January, so we'll have to save the transatlantic for a different time!

Have a wonderful trip everyone!!

-Kathy

Say hi to them from us, and when you get the account set up tell them we are a friendly bunch.

We are on the PC cruise too so might meet you there.

Thanks Kathy, you do mean the wb transatlantic dont you?
Anyhow, never mentioned anybody saying anything about attending services onboard, but I will see you in January on the pc cruise!!!:thumbsup2

Yes, the WB Transatlantic Cruise leaving this September. :) Sorry for not being clear on that. (Hopefully I have the right board!!)

My inlaws have had a dream for years to cross the Atlantic. My husband, kids and I have been on several Disney Cruises and are hooked on Disney Cruises, and we brought my inlaws on our last Disney Cruise this past January (7-day Eastern), and they are now HOOKED. They never thought they'd like cruising, but the Disney Cruise hooked them... they just loved the wholesome family atomosphere and cruising life in general. So, they booked this WB Transatlantic on that cruise this past January and are now fulfilling a dream they've had for years to cross the Atlantic!

We would have gone (would have LOVED to go), but we didn't want our children to miss the first couple weeks of school... knowing our kids, I think it would have been hard on them to miss the first couple weeks of school. So, we booked the PC Cruise in Jan and are pulling them from school mid-year, which will be easier on the kids (I've arlready talked with their teachers, too, and we have 100% support, so that is great).

Yes, I've seen you on the PC Cruise meet boards!! That's awesome you're going on this WB Transatlantic and the PC cruise! Have a GREAT time. I will definitely see you on the Panama Canal cruise... looking forward to meeting people from the cruise meet board in Jan.

In the mean time, if you do happen know of anyone in this cruise meet who is planning or hoping to attend chapel services, maybe let them know my inlaws are looking to hook up with people going to chapel.

Thanks so much!
kathy

Some more medical issues.....this group is kind of scary....my DD was admitted to the hospital yesterday....she has a viral infection in her intestine and a serious infection in her colon....they were trying to treat it with antibiotics by mouth but it is beating her up so they put her in the hospital....doctor said she is pretty sick and will be in the hospital through the weekend.....it seems so many of us traveling have some sort of medical problem or tragedy in our lives.....thank God I do not drink......and thank God it is happening now and not 5 weeks from now since she will be staying here and taking care of the house and the pets......
Tom

SOme pixie dust sent your way for a speedy recovery for your daughter.

Sitting in Barcelona airport on our way back from our Med cruise. 31 days til we come back. DW (Lorraine) is working an trip report, but anyone got any questions about the ship, entertainment, airport etc?

DO you know what type of equipment they have in the gym?

I'm sure this might be posted somewhere but booking so late, I have no idea where to find things other than the first page. :confused3 Anyway, DD Lindsay and I are flying out of Newark on the 15th and have a 5 hours lay over in Belgium (hope we can get Belgium waffles in the airport for breakfast and Belgium chocolate - no calories) :rotfl2: Anyway we arrive in BCN around 3 pm on the 16th. Does anyone have any plans to meet up on the 16th? We would love to meet up with some people. :woohoo:

Some personnal info about me - I haven't been on the Disboards:surfweb: much and I know there are old friends :grouphug:(not age wise) that we are looking forward to seeing and making new friends. My mom had Alzheimer's and my DD spent the alot of time with her and watching her especially when I was at work. I got married :lovestruc on the Disney Wonder :bride: one year ago, May 22. Even though everyone said my mom shouldn't go with us, I took her and she was so happy to be at my wedding. :grouphug: In October, DD and I took her with us on a 7 day Magic cruise and she loved it. She was on the last Transatlantic:sail: cruise with us. Anyway, at the age of 92, she passed away on :sad:my first anniversary. :sad1: Then in June, my retina detache:cool2:d and I had emergency surgery and during this time, I booked this cruise and wasn't sure if my doctor would let me travel.:confused3 I got the go ahead. Yesterday I had laser surgery on my good eye to correct some problems that could led to a detached retina in my good eye. We usually go to the MNSSHH but we can't this year because I can't miss more time from work and I'm scheduled for cataract surgery on my bad eye since the retina surgery created a cataract. Anyway, if anyone has any eye problems, don't put it off. Make a doctor's appointment right away and don't play with your eyes. The sight you save can be your own. Okay, enough with the bad stuff.

So as you can see, we had a rough year. I can't begin to tell you how much we are looking forward to and excited to be going on this cruise:banana:. Just want to hang out with people, enjoy our 14th Disney cruise, can't wait to have the drink of the day (everyday:drinking1 ), celebrate our September birthdays:bday: and just have an awesome time:cheer2::dance3:.

Just curious, does anyone know who the CD is?

Can't wait to meet everyone. CYA real soon.

Bev:)

Welcome! Hope to meet you onboard. We are planning to meet up and go to the Magic Fountains in Barcelona on the 16th. Where are you staying?

I have felt stress for the past 3 weeks that has just seemed to increase the more I read all these posts that say people are already packed and ready to go. Most of our clothes have to be worn up until the day we leave (4 weeks from today) and can only be mentally packed but can do nothing about it. I guess we will just have to run around in our pjs the last few days before we leave. :)

Most of clothes are daily wear as well, so up to the last week for us to pack

We will be doing this as we will have been in europe for the week before and will not have many clean clothes left - so as soon as the suitcases arrive I will send the clothes out to be cleaned!
Krisann
I Know I'll be doing laundry within the first days of the cruise. and sending out our formals to be pressed

:hug::hug: That is horrible. You are right even adults need the buddy system. Glenn has loss all interested in Castaway from that day forward. And it did not end badly. Glenn and I always swim close by. We also make sure if snorkeling we use the life jacket. It only takes a cramp to make the pleasant swim turn :guilty:

Ok needing extra pixie dust. One of our dogs Pepper is having a lump removed tomorrow. She seems to get them every time we are about to go on a cruise. Last time it was a month before our back to back 2 years ago. And before that it was 2 years.

So we took her to the vet tonight and she has surgery tomorrow morning. If all goes well we get her back tomorrow night.

We wanted it done now so she is all healed by the time we leave. So $600.00 later we get our doggie back :)

Then I was dumb enough to ask DCL about the gratuities that it said were pre-paid. Seems it was an old code that was put in wrong. Spent 15 minutes on the line while they tried and figured it out. Said they would call me back.

He did and thanked me for my integrity. That it was a mistake. So no fuel credit or paid gratuities. Well I said that is just the type of people we are.

Does anyone remember what the on board booking credit is. Is it 200 or 250?

Terrible thing to happen, especially on vacation. I hope your pup heals nicely! How's that saying go? Good onya for being honest!:thumbsup2

On our WBPC cruise they had an interdenomination service in Session on Sunday mornings, which I attended.

I'm hoping for the same thing to be available.

:cutie:

Erik, have you gone short for the cruise yet so you don't have to bring your flat iron this time?!

Mike was growing out his hair for a while. I would've loved the Denis Leary/Rescue Me look. Sadly, it turned more into the John Travolta/Swordfish look. He's back to short now. Phew.

No I have not. I will be getting it all cut off on either the 30th or 31st of August.....depending on which day my stylist has openings in the evenings after work.

BearFan is in the Coconut FE list, but hasn't updated a room number. I can't find any posts from them so I'm not sure if they're still sailing or not. Can anyone confirm?

Also, I was looking at some of the names signed up on the rollcall, and saw a couple of people on the roll call still who canceled.
- CA Crusin' canceled in May since she'll be in Nursing school
- KellyJeanDVC also canceled in May for other reasons

There were also some other names on the WBTA website that haven't posted here and aren't listed anywhere else. Any one know if these folks will be on the ship with us?

- bsaffle - Can't find any posts by this user but they are on the website
- CarsFans - Are on the website and lanyard list, but I can't find any posts
- DDuckFan - Can't find any posts
- djrok212 - Was on the EBTA, hasn't posted on boards since April
- mousemansion - posted in the 9/11 WBTA thread. Both places said this will be their 6th cruise. Was wondering if they got the two crossings confused?
- The Diswolds - hasn't updated room assignment
- Woody2 - can't find this user

DDuckFan and NewDisneyDad are no longer sailing with us. Thy are my future SIL and BIL...she found out she was pregnant and missed the cut off for this trip...as a matter of fact they are getting off the Magic today!!:) they were sad they couldn't join us, but they had a FABULOUS time!

Sorry to hear they won't be sailing with us, but thanks for the updates. I have removed KellyJeanDVC, CACruisin', DDuckFan and NewDisneyDad from the active list. :sad1:

Of the other names on the list, CarsFans is the only one that submitted a photo, so I have e-mailed her asking for confirmation.

Wow - waiting to the last minute, aren't we???

I don't know if I'll recognize you!

Thanks for the update! I wonder if we can get their record updated on the rollcall website. I'm glad they were able to find a trip and had a wonderful time!

We sailed in Dec 2005 with a group of folks we met through the DISboard (including our own GrayFal), and I was working hard on my DH to sail again in November 2006 with the same group. Just when he decided to go, was the same week I found out I was pregnant with my DD who was born at the end of Nov that year. So needless to say, we didn't end up cruising in 2006!

who made up the transatlantic sign with the parchment backround and Pirate Mickey one side and a pirate on the other with the flags of the different countries we are visiting?

I would like to use the backround and the words with a few addtional flags for my B2B.

Please help!

I can't believe no one has said this yet, but it's now

ONE MONTH UNTIL WE SAIL!!!!
:cloud9::banana::banana::banana::cool1::cool1::dance3::cheer2::cheer2::dance3:;):upsidedow;):cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana::cloud9:

Exactly one month from this moment, it will be 6:38 p.m., and we'll be on board, some at the first sitting of dinner, others at the first show! WOW!

anyone else excited yet?

See You Real Soon! :flower3:

Hi there,

(this is still the daughter-in-law typing), but I set up my in-laws account and am just testing it out here. :) So, this is their new account. :)

They will be happy to see that you are hoping to go to Sunday Morning services as well. I'll show them how to post here, and hopefully they can connect with people here before the cruise.

Take care and thanks!

CarsFans is on the Madeira tour with EyeDisneyCruise in their van. Maybe you can PM EyeDisneyCruise to ask her about them.
