what's the worst thing you've eaten at wdw?

I had already posted the watermelon rind salad at Boma. Bot, now that I think more about it I think the pizza at Pizza Planet and Pizzafair is absolutely inedible. I think I could have choked down the watermelno stuff if I had to. But, no way one the pizza.
OMG i could not agree more. They have the most disgusting pizza on earth.

I will probably get flamed for this:

I had the beer cheese soup from the Canada F&W booth, and thought it was horrific, just gross.

If that is what they are serving at Le Cellier and people go ga-ga for it, they can have my ADR for LC.
That is one of the reasons I was going to go, but now I am not so sure.

So far I have never had a bad meal at WDW, except for that soup.
I totally agree with you on this. Im embarrassed to say im Canadian, because i can tell you we serve far better food than the garbage at Le Cellier. That soup was way beyond disgusting. Horrifying actually! And dont get me started on the bread sticks or the steak.

Our entire meal at Boma!

Now, this one surprises me. You went to a buffet, selected what you put on your plate, didn't care for anything, went back to the buffet, tried different things, and didn't care for those either. Perhaps you went several times to the buffet but couldn't find anything you cared for. And even more surprising, is that the others in your party had the same experience. Nothing on the salads, entrees, desserts, childrens bar, the entire buffet pleased you. It was the worst thing you've eaten at WDW. It couldn't have been the service, since at a buffet you were going and getting food whenever you wanted. I'm sorry you had such a lousy meal. I really am sorry.

Why is that such a shock? I couldnt stand Boma either. Worst buffet i've ever been to in my life.

Also, Le Cellier soup. D I S G U S T I N G.

While im at it, Dole whips! Ya I said it!

Forgot to mention THE NASTIEST meal of my trip! Dunno how i could forget this one....TONY'S! Their meat balls....their chicken parm....and marinara sauce.....soooooooooooooooooooooooooo gross. Completely inedible. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever again. :scared:

:rotfl: Just shows ya how everybody's taste buds are different. We liked Tony's when we tried it and we absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Boma. Boma is our most fav restaurant on property because the food is so unique. We love that it's not the typical fare that we can get any time we want. It's a little hard to get to though (time consuming) so if we're not staying at AKV so we don't always make it over there each trip. I am always sad to miss it. I am addicted to their soups! We're trying both Le Cellier & Ohana for the first time over spring break....curious to see how they stack up with all the hype over them. I want to know why they're so hard to get into and can't wait to see what the fuss is about...

I can say without a doubt that the food at Garden Grill is what grossed me out the most at DW. I can't even remember exactly what I ate since it was 2007, but I do know I've never wanted to go back, (even though my son loved the decorate-your-own-cupcake thing, and the characters were a lot of fun). Awful, awful food.

Actually, that doesn't surprise me. My Kona meal was worse, but neither DH or I cared for the buffet dinner at Crystal Palace at all. We both went up a few different times and did not find anything we cared for.

I've had a similar experience outside Disney as well, most notably at a local arcade/mini-golf place with a buffet. Just because a place is a buffet does not mean you're guaranteed to find *something* you'll like. If you dislike the overall quality (or the overall taste theme of the place, like with Boma), then yeah, everything on offer is going to disappoint.

the best way to find a good meal in disney is find a place not owned by disney.which means downtown for the most part.every meal we've ever had at best was decent.for the most part they were just blaaa and some just plain bad.it seems most people give em a pass cause its disney but the food is the worse part of going.we go almost every year

Just back from week of quick service dining for 1st time. The taste of food was way down. I can't even say which meal was worst because none were as good as past trips. I did notice so many cutbacks at every restaurant but Pecos Bills. We went there twice. We did LeCellier out of pocket and was also disappointed, just not the same. Cosmic Ray's not good, chicken was not good, no drink refills. T Rex out of pocket, too exp. for tastless food. Will not be going back to this over rated place. Oh yeah, now I do remember the worst meal. It was the food at Epcot at The Land. The Chinese was so nasty, tossed in the trash. The chicken meal was gross, the green beans were raw and unedible. The strawberry shortcake was terrible. We are going back this fall and I am so worried about the food situation. I am thinking about a trip without a dining plan. Just eating offsite and bringing a p&j sand. or something easy to carry. Will get fries or onion rings or anything that they can't destroy. I will still go to Pecos Bill's and also have a few Dole Whips.Lol

The macaroni & cheese at WPE was really, really gross. My daughter wouldn't eat it, and I began to get on her about not eating her food...until I tried it. So gross.

The mahi mahi dish at Coral Reef.

Maybe it was just bad or maybe I don't really like mahi mahi. It was my first experience with it, but I like almost all other fish, so who knows...

The Quattro Stagioni pizza at Via Napoli. Raw dough and canned mushrooms. And grayish artichokes. Yuck yuck yuck.

Also thought the burger at Sci Fi was gross.

We didn't like our food from the Yak & Yeti CS place in AK so much that I'm afraid to try the TS Yak & Yeti place and we were disappointed with our meals at Restaurant Marrakesh in Epcot (and I'd really wanted to like that place). The ABC Commissary USED to be good (like 4 or 5 years ago) but now it's horrid. Hoping for better choices / luck next trip.

The TS is much better IMHO.

Kona was probably our worst overall meal. My husband got this same entree and made the same comments. I got the coconut-almond crusted chicken, and it was just soggy and tasteless. The only good thing we got was the sticky wings appetizer, but it was REALLY good.

I've gotten some other things that just weren't to my personal taste, a few of them mentioned in this thread - cream cheese pretzel, rice and ribs at the luau, etc. But Kona was the only one where our meals really seemed bad due to bad preparation and not just individual preference.

I love Kona. I had the shrimp and scallops, but I'm allergic to gluten so they made mine separately. Maybe that is why mine was excellent and you and the PP were not so lucky? I don't remember what DD ate, but we both enjoyed our food.

As for worst, for me it may be zebra domes. yuck.

I can't bring myself to try a turkey leg. Those things stink to high heaven and I can't help but think "caveman" style when I see people walking around gnawing on one.

May I ask why you didn't send an undercooked pizza back to the kitchen? Via Napoli's pizzas are VERY expensive! There's no way I would tolerate a pizza with uncooked dough! Gross. For the record, Via Napoli serves the best pizza I have ever tasted. However, I am sure every once in a while a pizza is either burnt or undercooked. Both should be sent back to the kitchen!

Creme brulee at Wave. The cheesecake and chocolate mousse weren't good either, but the creme brulee was just gross.

For me the zebra domes were awful and I cannot stand most of the food at HS. We are planning our trip ths Xmas and the kids agree we just have to leave the park for food.

We have only ever had one bad tasting meal -EVER at Disney. And that was Hollywood and Vines lunch. It wasn't just me either, our entire party of 8 hated it. I love their breakfast and their dinner wasn't bad, but lunch was HORRID!

And while my sister-in-law could have licked her bowl clean, I hated the Maple Creme Brulee at Le Cellier. I mean, I took two bites and that was it. And I usually love Creme Brulee and I usually love maple flavors. But the two combined did not work for me at all.

But the winner of the worst meal ever goes to Tony's. I had the chicken parm, my son had spag/balls....we both shared, and we both agreed it was the nastiest meal we've ever had. I actually refused to swallow the meatball, i had to spit it into my napkin. I also gagged a bit. NEVER EVER again.

You must really, really not like Tony's! :rotfl:

We've only had 1 really bad, "won't eat there again" meal at Disney, and that was the entire dinner buffet at Hollywood & Vine.

That was in 2005, and, nope, we haven't been back!

The food on the buffet was lukewarm (at best) & the meats were dried out (& ours was an early-ish dinner at 5:30 pm) & everything was very bland & very "cafeteria-buffet". The restaurant was super-noisy & messy & crowded as well.

Again, we haven't been since 2005, so it could be totally different now!
