Wow, it looks like the private town car may only be $10 to $20 more than the cab fare! Still, the range of $100 to $120 quoted for cab or limo fare took me by surprise. Of course it has been over 30 years since I have ridden in a taxi though.
I guess that the DME (priced into the reservations) and the Grey Line DLR Express (at $38 pp R/T) may have spoiled me?
Thanks for the clarification on Universal's setup there. What a mishmash. I can see having someone else operate your hotels for you as a cost saving measure, but to try and tie it all together as a package deal with a third-party travel agency is odd.
But, I guess that it works for them, huh?
Loews are partial owners of the hotels, so they just don't operate them. However, Loews doesn't own any part of the parks. Having a third party travel agency do their group bookings makes sense. However, it really isn't necessary to use them. It is dead simple to do it yourself and often save a considerable amount of money by doing so.
