Not really there. Just living vicariously through photo's......:smokin:

Haha !! I actually know that (not That Old yet, although it feels like it sometimes ;) )

......and I love that you have been sharing your past pics with us!!!

Hello everyone! :wave2: Just checking in, SO wishing I was as close to our departure date as it seems some of you are! Just wee bit jealous. :hourglass

I hope that your Christmas trip this year goes better than it did last year! I totally get the frustration around airfare cost. With my DH being Canadian, we fly up once a year to see family. It's rare that the price dips below $1,000/ticket :scared: and we have to buy for four! But for our trip coming up at the end of next week, I did manage to catch a deal a few months back.

Btw, we rent a car every time we visit WDW. Tried DME once, and realized it just wasn't for us. We prefer the flexibility that our own car provides. I'm sure you'll have a great time! :goodvibes
Thank you! Hope we like the car rental as much as you.

Got these! I'll get you both on the Be Our Guest list.

:cool1::yay:

I still have several pages to official "go through" and catch up, but I will be gone on a field trip all day to the local park for some science and other experiments so I'll talk to you all later!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks Dee! Have fun at the field trip!

Perfect view MickeyT! Love seeing pics like this. Great way to start the day.

Love the picture MickeyT!

Can't wait to be sitting on our balcony!

10 days to go. I just ordered a mickey head cake for Cape May Buffet dinner for my dd's Sweet 16 and ds's 13th birthdays and a small two tier mini cake at Narcoosee's for other dd's 8th grade graduation. I always feel bad because she has a December 30th birthday and we are never at Disney for her birthday.

Also emailed IPO to arrange their "sand bucket baskets" that I have made up every year. DD's graduation party is Saturday and then hopefully I can start packing. DS is really messing me up this year - he had to go and make the 12 year old all star baseball team!

Wish me luck today - have to take two teen age dds clothes shopping - UGGGHHH!!!

I feel your pain Robyn. Taking my preteen shopping is bad enough...I can't imagine taking TWO teenagers! The day we went shopping for her pageant dress aged me about 10 years!

Question about the sand bucket baskets...can you tell me what those are? For some reason I thought kids staying club level already received sand buckets. Is this something extra you do for yours?

I just called to request our room location for POR the night before we check into BC. With all my excitement I have totally forgotten about our first night in a Royal Room!

We leave a week from today!!!:dance3::dance3:

Hey - can you tell me more about the sand bucket idea? I'd love to do something like that for DS9 and DD7, both because it'll be our first BC (and first CL stay), and because we'll be celebrating both of their birthdays (Dec 2, one month after we're there). What does it cost and what does it include?

I have contacted IPO about adding our birthday celebrations to our reservation. We are also celebrating a few other things for my girls. I don't want to beat a dead horse...should I ask them to add the others to our reservation? Does it really make a difference? IPO has helped me many other times with dining, etc...and I feel like I'm bothering them (They have always been great!) when I email them. I don't want to be THAT guest!!:rotfl:

Club level will spoil you forever! If your kids are like mine, they will love evening desserts and hanging out in the lounge. I have two DDs, 11 and 7, so close to yours in age. I love that they will have these memories forever and that we're able to provide them with experiences we didn't have growing up. We were a camping type family. Nothing wrong with that, but definitely not Disney!!

Do you mind if I ask who you called to order the cakes? We will be celebrating DS turning 12 on our trip and I was thinking of ordering a cake or cupcakes to have at ESPN restaurant. He does not like chocolate so it would have to be vanilla.TIA!

Here is what I've always done - I ask IPO if they can make up "sand bucket" baskets from items at the BC marketplace. Usually I put in mickey chocolate bars, salt water taffy, pretzels, rice krispy treats, lollipops and either Disney gc or arcade gcs.

Pixarmom has a great thread with all pictures from items at BC Marketplace.

The price depends on whatever you want in the "basket".

HTH!

It depends on where you are eating.

For the two tier mini cake we are having it delivered to Narcoossee's so I called GF Private Dining.

For the mickey head cake we are having it delivered to Cape May Buffet so I called Yacht and Beach Club Private Dining.

There is a great thread on the restaurant board "Cake Chatters III" I think that has a list of all the restaurants and kinds of specialty cakes they make with the phone numbers.

HTH!

We have two birthdays (DD's Sweet 16 and DS's 13th). I ordered a special cake also for dd's 8th grade graduation because I didn't want her to feel left out. I only noted that 2 birthdays on our reservation and ordered a mickey head cake for them to share - there is such a thing as too much cake!!!!

Spoke too soon.

I just got an email back from BC IPO that they are no longer allowed to do shopping for CL guests. They said it had to do with security and credit cards.

Seems strange that they would let you leave your cc for dining reservations but not allow them to use it to order something for your room.

Oh well, I asked if they could connect me with someone in BC marketplace to see if I could order it myself. Not really crazy over the selection at Disney FLorist unless I wanted to spend hundreds of dollars - DH would NOT be happy about that since we are already doing the big "Sweet Sixteen Party" in August!

Awesome - thank you! As a CL newbie, I'm still not up on all of the benefits, although the CL thread has been pretty helpful. Love the GC idea - I could give one to each kiddo for their souvenir money. :)

Thanks! We'll be eating at ESPN so I wasn't sure if it would be better to contact Boardwalk Bakery or YC/BC private dining. I will check out that thread!

BC IPO contacted me and gave me the number of the Marketplace directly.
They spoke to the managers and asked them to assist me with the baskets.

It's really no problem - just as easy to tell them what I need as IPO.

It seems that the managers no longer want the IPO cms to physically take the cc # out of the IPO office.
