I try not to get defensive, but some people are down right rude about it. :sad2: Why do they want to rain on my WDW parade???? :upsidedow

The daughter of one of our "friends" that frown upon us going to Disney every year told my DD last week that she doesn't like Disney, and doesn't want to go. My DD asked her if she had ever been to Disney, in which she replied "No"....so my DD said, "Then you can't say you don't like it. How would you know" :confused3.

Same thing happened to me today with a friend, she's never been but said if she did go she knows she would only go once. :rolleyes2 As my soon to be 14 year old would say "Whatever"

Safe travels to you and your family! I love reading your reports - We live in Boston, and know that your DH is a Red Sox fan...so bonus! :goodvibes

Ps - We go to WDW once a YEAR every May and we get the "again" comments. :sad2: Little do people know I am planning a bonus trip for October. Why do I feel like I need to keep it quiet? Weird and sad.

Hi there! Jumping on to hear all about your trip! :cheer2: We are staying POLY CL 8-14 to 8-25. I can't wait, it has been 2 long years!

Hi there :goodvibes We'll be there from the 13th to the 20th, so we'll see you in the lounge  And we're from PA too (south of Pittsburgh). :thumbsup2

The one that we hear all the time (and from the same people every time) is, "You're going to Disney again??? Why don't you try some place different? Don't you get bored?"...And I'm tired of explaining that every disney vacation is a different adventure. You can go to Disney 1000 times and it will ALWAYS be different!!! :thumbsup2

My dad and I just had this discussion today. He and my mom go to Williamsburg every year in the fall because they love it and they're happy there. And I told him that Disney is my family's happy place and then he totally understood :)

We both decided that it's great to go on a vacation that you know everyone is going to love and be excited about :thumbsup2 And yes, every year is different and special!

Yep :) My DH is from Danvers, Mass... by marriage I am now expected to cheer for the Red Sox, Pats, Bruins, and Celtics ...rather I want to or not! :lmao:

Sometimes I just say "we're going to Florida" but that reply is wearing thin :rotfl:

Williamsburg is on my "to do" list. And yes, it is great to go to your happy place where we are all in agreement. My DH wasn't a Disney fan until we had the kids and discovered the GF. Just seeing the twinkle in our kids' eyes is more than enough (and of course the GF ;)).

I'm too excited to sleep!!!!! :hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

Remember that cute commercial???

That's me!!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

We got yet another ME packet in the mail today! That makes 4 total! :upsidedow Either they really, really, REALLY know we are coming or they've sent so many they'll all be invalid! :lmao:

I just made a major executive decision, I took the ponchos OUT of the suitcase! :scared:  Every time we go I take them and nobody ever wears them, I really want to avoid having overweight bags this time... those of you who followed our last report remember the HUGE HAUL of stuff we had to bring back home on the plane :goodvibes so I'm trying to free up some extra space. DH and the kids have sworn they won't use them, but I figure not packing them pretty much ensures a monsoon will come! :rolleyes1 ;)

Poncho story: I always pack small disposable ponchos. One trip, my husband took his disposable ponchos out of the bag. When we arrived, it rained, and rained and rained. He immediately bought a brand new poncho at DHS - $7, I think. While the rest of us were prepared with our little disposable ponchos, we were also very wet because our ponchos ripped, tore, the hoods flew off in the rain, etc. Meanwhile, my husband was dry as could be in his brand new WDW poncho. Moral of the story - if it rains, those WDW ponchos are quite effective!

If I told you how many of those Disney ponchos we own you would have me committed! :rolleyes1 ;) We use to buy them all the time and then I'd never remember to pack them for the next trip. So finally after a few years of forgetting I trained myself to always pack them, and guess what???? We've never worn them since! :lmao:

You know, I know so many people who go to the Jersey shore every year (or another shore town) for vacation, and no one bats an eye saying 'you're going again?!' but for some reason Disney is different to people?? In any case if it makes us happy, that's all that matters. I think we get it and see all there is to enjoy at WDW. Heck my husband who says 'we have to go to other places' really wanted to go for F&W this year! I know some friends are probably saying 'again' but I say you should see how and what we do there!

In any case, I look forward to your live reports Erika! I would be too excited to sleep too. If it were up to me I would go every year (which I basically have since 2010).

I use the same Disney luggage tag on my suitcase. It is my favorite one. :goodvibes

I agree the new ones haven't been nearly as nice, and the quality has gotten really flimsy. These have lasted a long time! :thumbsup2

Last minute packing is in full force!! Tonight is our luxurious night at the airport hotel! :lmao: Tomorrow morning POLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cloud9::beach::dance3:

I know what you mean.....people rent the SAME beach cottage EVERY summer and no one says a word-you go to Disney more than once and everyone comments. I don't get it!

The other thing people always seem to comment on is how expensive Disney is. Well, really if you know what you are doing it isn't anymore than a beach vacation. I've priced out different types of vacations and you get a lot for your money in Disney. Heck we are going to DC for 3 nights this fall and it's practically the same as if we were going to WDW.

Excited for the live report-always nice for us sitting at home during a rainy summer to live through those who are where we'd rather be!!! Can't wait for your trip!

We buy APs and we spread out payments on our vacations over the year. This trip we are going on now basically only cost us the room (with AP discount) and food. We already had park tickets and we used Southwest points for our airfare. What could be a better bargain??? ;)
