One more thing about the hotel airline check in - you must get your bags down to them at least three hours before flight time, or they won't take them.

So I have a date change to announce Dee, sorry...Aug. 22-28th :beach: Still at YC ;) Absolutely no itch to switch...I am SO excited, there's gonna be a lot of DISers and RCers there :grouphug:
 
I just want to confirm: we are staying at the BCV. Our plan is to bring items that will need refrigeration but we plan to get to the hotel at 830 am and assume our room won't be ready. They will refrigerate out items until we get back from the parks to check in right?

We have used the RAC (Resort Airline Checkin) 3 times at the Beach Club and we love it. After you hand over your luggage, you won't see your bags again until you pick them up at the airport. They print your boarding passes so you can head right to security when you get to MCO.

The RAC program is independently contracted, not Disney employees.

Anyone have any comments about the service with international travel?
We cant use it for travel to Ireland/UK as it didn't accept Aer Lingus/Virgin Atlantic but I've seen somewhere that this may change in the future ? Not sure if it has already?

Think there are to be changes that will allow international guests to use this service in the future but we couldn't on past trips. Would love it if we could do this :)

Have all your refrigerated items together and tell the bellmen what needs to be refrigerated. Make it very clear what is what. They have a huge refrigerator in the bag storage room and will be glad to refrigerate what needs it. However, they have very little "freezer" space.
 
thanks for the info guys. i'm glad to hear it's worked out well for you all. unfortunately, it was the least magical part of my trip :( i left on monday and it's still bothering me a bit, so it's something i want to write about. if the employees at the check-in are not disney CMs, is it still appropriate to write to guest relations about them?

i loved everything else about the YC though. my aunt really loved the fresh lemon water in the lobby every day :D
 
Got my happy feet on! Just upgraded our July 4-12 stay from CSR to BC! Have been checking out the posts and saw pictures of SAB. Showed dh & ds pictures, told them Epcot was out the back door & dh said change the reservation! YAY!!!!
 
Our waitlist came through and it's official! We are staying at BCV in May. It's our first stay there. So excited! :cool1: I was curious. Has anyone taken magical express from MCO? If so do you remember which order BC comes in and about how long it takes? I know it depends but just was curious about an average. Thanks!

The order of the Magical Express drop-offs can change, but I think on my two trips, we have stopped at Caribbean Beach, Boardwalk and then Beach Club. I would plan on an hour and a half from wheels down to the BC lobby.

You should definitely write- I have an email address for Guest Services and a snail mail address for Mim Flynn, the General Manager of the Yacht & Beach Club on the first page of the thread (Other Useful Info Post- #14 )

Even though I don't think they are Disney CMs, they are working on Disney and YC/BC property, so I would think the Mouse, and the folks in charge, would want to know if there was an issue so they can try to address it.

As they say at WDW..... Welcome Home!

It feels as if am coming home, after a 42 year absence. Back in 1972, there was only the MK.. My visit was part of a packaged tour, which included 2 days at WDW. Now I'm staying on site for a week and experiencing 4 parks. Excited to be finally returning the Magical, Wonderful World of Disney.

Hi there it does change depending on how busy it is. But I can tell you we stayed at BWV at the end of Dec. the order was CBR, BW then they were moving on to YC/BC. Hope that helps. We'll be at BCV in May too! Can't wait!
 
So, as for a room request.....we would like to be close IG, and bridge over to Boardwalk. We are booked in a standard view room this time around. Could we still be close to lobby with these requests?

Enough already Jay ... you always miss me ... the second I leave for Jeanne's to help set up the classroom every August, you arrive. This year I even missed you in the winter for your conference. So because of that, you are hereby ordered to change your arrival date to that Monday (1) so I can say hi to you and the family and (2) you can attend the DIS MEET!!!!!
