Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 3

I was able to get transferred right over doing this. Initially booked ASMu this morning because it told me POP was sold out...got to work and it showed availability at POP so I called and changed....so we are now set at POP 11/14-11/21 with upgraded regular DDP!

I ended up just booking online as I got nothing but busy signals. So, apparently you CAN have 2 reservations under the same account for the same dates. I guess Disney doesn't care as long as they get the deposit. :) just FYI for my dates oct 1-10 there was availability all room categories at Pop.

Also my total was exactly the same as my old reservation only with the QS dining plan included. So I definitely got free dining. To the previous poster are you sure you booked under the right promo?

I did the exact same thing for 3 parties. we each have two duplicate reservations except one has free dinning. i'll call next week and cancel the ones we don't want.

my total was exactly the same as well so i'm confused by the pp's remark about the price difference. having said that, I change our dinning to get the table service so then the price changed by $200 for a 11 night stay. not bad in my book.
 
I am wondering if there is still a chance that a PIN will come out with FD for POR or POFQ. Does anyone think that's a possibility?

Also, would/can a PIN be assigned to an account that already has a resort package booked?
 
Don't know about your situation, but last year the tickets part for my party of three was often wrong. Different people came and went over days. Eventually it settled out...

Don't worry, the website is just overloaded right now. The important part is you have your conf# and you saw you added originally. Give it a little time it will correct itself. Same thing was happening to people last week when I booked during the Visa offer ( around this same time of day too). Within about an hour or two people were saying it was fixing itself. Just keep an eye out to be safe.

Thanks for the reassurance! :goodvibes I FEEL like it will work itself out .... I mean, everything else looks great .... If not, I will place a call (after today's insanity is over) and see if a CM can fix it. Hopefully, it will just sort itself out.


Quick (funny) story ...... while driving 14yo DS to football at 7:00 this morning, I kept dialing, "all circuits are busy", hanging up & redialing the cell phone in an effort to get through ......

DS looks at me and says "Do y'all always go through this when we go to Disney?" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

"Yes, son, we do"

Kids! They have NO IDEA what we go through to give them such "magical" vacations! ;)

Anything is possible. All depends on if they need to sell more rooms.

It can. We have had a trip booked and received a pin for 35% off which covered the dates we already had booked.

I think that is the only hope. They will probably take a look at their bookings and make that determination. But, I am sure there are plenty of people who are not planners like we are and just call up the month or week before to gets rooms, so they may not feel like they need to open those up.

Decided on AKL for 9/4-9/12 because this is our very first trip (if I don't count the one I barely remember more than 20 years ago) and we're planning it as a very belated honeymoon. So even though it is going to end up costing us a decent chunk more than CSR, we just felt like AKL was the right choice. I can stay in a value next summer when I hope to take friends and family, and this is probably the only time I'll splurge for the resort itself (what can I say, DH was very excited about the idea of wandering around watching giraffes :)). Thanks to everyone who helped answer questions, this was very helpful for getting info on planning my first trip!

Where would I find my 12 digit reservation #? I have my 8 digit confirmation # but can't figure out where to find the 12 digit one :confused3
 
I called guest services at 407-939-7838 and they transferred me, someone picked up in less than 5 minutes.

I was able to add a day at the end plus go from a 5 day ticket to a 6 day and still saved $200, we are staying at Pop in a standard room from 9/24-9/30.

Said agent and got WL courtyard view!!! Only cost $600 more then my reg package was with deluxe dining
 
I have an AP, and booked free dining with the 2 day base ticket. Can I use the 2 day ticket for a future trip? How is this done with MDE?

great name, mine too :) lol. anywho, i tried for almost 2 hours before being put on hold for 1:40min!!!! i called the 407-939-7675 number. hope that helps!
