"You're definitely feeling and not concealing!" - A COMPLETE July 2014 TR!

Your Maleficent cake pop looked yummy but the stale bugle ears = no bueno!
I am a huge cake fan so when I'm in Disney I am in all my glory. I mean seriously between the cake pops and cupcakes and little individual desert cakes I am one happy lady!

The Maleficent cake pop is cute.

I've had the cake before but only because a cast member at Pinnochio's Village House gave it to me for free for some reason I forget. It is good. :)

Daisy was right about the dole whip in your future. I've had a dole whip, but I haven't had the dole whip float yet.

Sounded like a great interaction with the Fairy Godmother. Now I kind of want to meet her too.

Glad to hear the Mine Train was great. I've heard sooooo many great things about it!

Can't wait to read about your day in AK.

Wasn't it adorable? I saw it online and I loved Maleficent so it was a must for me.

Free cake sounds perf.

She most certainly was! I had been waiting long for that dole whip, LMAO. Ahh, the joy of a girl's first dole whip ;)

Next time you're in the world, hang around the back of the castle near Castle Couture- she meets by the Castle walls over there.

The mine train was AWESOME! Next time you're in WDW, book your FP+ for it as soon as you can. You literally cannot miss it.

You'll be hearing about it as soon as I can write it! xo

Yeah, the bugles were kind of a turn off, but the rest of the cake was decent. See my problem with WDW is that every time I'm there, I say I'm going to eat as much cake as I can stuff into my mouth. But then there are SO MANY other desserts like mickey rice krispie treats, mickey premium bars, etc. that I only ended up having cake about four or five times. Which isn't a lot for me... LOL :rotfl2:

Just read all of your updates, enjoying your report so far! I love cake too and Gaston was hilarious!

Mmmm, that Maleficent cake pop looks delicious! Sorry to hear that it was stale. And that taco bowl looks awesome! I wish I knew Tortuga Tavern sold stuff like that I would've gone in. ::yes::

Awww, what a cute M&G with the Fairy Godmother. She looks like the perfect Fairy Godmother and your conversation sounded so cute. I love characters like that who are just that sweet. :goodvibes

"Scusi, where's my playbill?" Haha :lmao:

Awww, Ariel is presh. I wish I could see some photos of this greet. Ariel usually makes the most adorable faces during the interactions.

I completely agree about SDMT, it's very tame, but they really make it a great overall experience. Definitely one of the new must-dos for me!

Can't wait to hear about your second day! :mickeyjum

Besides the staleness, it was pretty good. I was surprised Tortuga Tavern is open, everyone I talk to says it's always closed. I guess I was just special :thumbsup2

I know, she was so sweet and I honestly wasn't even expecting it! Characters like that are the reason WDW is such a beautiful place :goodvibes

Thank you, thank you- I try ;)

I had SO MANY fabulous Ariel interactions this trip. Our Akershus breakfast Ariel was incredible.

Yeah, SDMT was executed perfectly for such a tame coaster. It's nice that they have a medium for kids who are too old to be interested in tea cups but too young for the mountains.

Writing it as we speak! :goodvibes

Is it bad that I just looked through your instagram (because it was in your signature) and saw a bunch of pictures from your trip which may or may not have spoiled some things for me?

Subbing :goodvibes I love it so far!!!

I laughed at the part about the kid on Pirates yelling HORHAY because that's basically me except saying "I don't believe in George" (there's a rumor a CM named George died while building the ride and haunts the place, and if you say it 3 times, the ride will stop). I don't yell though :rotfl2::thumbsup2

I'm dying at all your character interactions- mine are usually boring but wow Gaston and Fairy Godmother just yes

I LOVED your interaction with Gaston! He DOES get close and personal doesn't he! Also, I'm totes jealous that you got to meet Fairy Godmother, you look so happy with her!

Can't wait til the next installment! :)

REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

Alright, well, first off I'm sorry this took so long to publish. I have been packing for camp aallllll week. And I kept having to move things from suitcases to trunks to back to the suitcases to back the trunk to back to the suitcases because A CERTAIN FEMALE PARENTAL FIGURE is a little shaky on my camp rules. Which brings me to another thing! Starting Monday, I'm going to be at my camp in upstate NY for 3 weeks. So, no installments until mid-August. I'm going to try to post the next installment by then, but if I can't- I encourage you to follow my twitter, insta, and tumblr in my signature, because I'll be posting about my camp experience and such so you won't be 100% out of touch with me. Thankachew and enjoy the installment xo

Day Four: Animal Kingdom Day

Q: How do you feel about assuming a position of power in a monarchy in the near future?

A: I just can’t wait to be king.

Animal Kingdom day started off bright and early with breakfast at Gasparilla’s. I had my beloved Mickey Mouse waffles and then we went to the bus stop.

We were waiting for an AK bus for the longest time. I think we were there for about 30 minutes before a bus came along. But we had a cool bus stop person who was telling jokes (including a very rude “too soon joke” about anna and elsa’s parents). But then we got on and after a stop at Blizzard Beach, we were at AK!

I was singing Lion King ALLLLLLLL day long. Hence the opening Q&A of this post.

10438922_689144331158717_3833753659090826536_n.jpg

We also stopped to take a look at the animals on our way in. I found a sleepin' lil otter.

We looked around at a shop for a little while before our first FP+ of the day, Kilimanjaro Safaris. We got to the FP+ line and this huge BTG was in front of us. Luckily, we were put on separate jeeps. Our driver/safari guide was so cute!!! Enjoy an animal spam.

Rhino at 4 o'clock, and by 4 o'clock I mean the right corner in the shade if you can't find it.

10416614_689144371158713_7751544627765535787_n.jpg

You guys don't REALLY expect me to caption all of these, right?

1551529_689144391158711_8460062510172609750_n.jpg

I'd say seeing a giraffe this close was the highlight of my year.

10561534_689144414492042_8111442891739377399_n.jpg

See it? Do you?

10364126_689144474492036_8444168956893283683_n.jpg

Seeing this photo just reminds me of the white chocolate elephant cupcake I was supposed to eat in Animal Kingdom that I never did rip in peace elephant cupcake.

10393716_689144481158702_1268877144479576024_n.jpg

While I was taking this photo the most ANNOYING girl in the backseat got reprimanded by her parents. She felt the need to keep shouting every animal after our guide had already announced what they were and where they were. She also kept asking when we would see the lions.

10544795_689144501158700_55890875098531444_n.jpg

Okay, THIS made me angry. Because I was wearing a flamingo shirt so I was totally all pumped to see some bright pink flamingos. Instead I am greeted with what the guide explained was the palest pink breed of flamingos in existence. This is not pink, this is white. These guys aren't real flamingos. Don't trust them.

10509757_689144554492028_7263318619258177176_n.jpg

Enjoy some zebras while you recollect yourself after my rants.

10449916_689144531158697_3023450034858680168_n.jpg

And these weird, glorified gazelles conclude my animal spam. ty.

Afterwards, we went to Rafiki’s Planet Watch since we never went there before. We met Rafiki!!!

BtUYxNMCQAAZmUH.jpg

As much as I would like to apologize for literally whatever is happening to my face and my arms/hands and body in general in this photo, I can't bring myself to truly be sorry because he did this to me when I asked about Simba. So, there.

10387672_695173627222454_8642491548365119099_n.jpg

NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANTS INGONYAMA BABITHI BABA

We were going to meet Chip and Dale, but we kept catching them at the inopportune moment before they went inside. PLUS, THERE WAS A PETTING ZOO WITH GOATS AND SHEEPS AND SUCH. We got to brush the little goats and sheep. And a little piggy! And there was a very well-trained pig who ran on stage and helped with the show. All in all, it was a cute experience, but I don’t think it’s worth the time it takes to get on the train and off the train and back on the train and back off the train again. I could have probably gone on Expedition Everest with a 30 minute wait in the time it took for us to meet Rafiki and play with the goats then come back. Meh.

Our next FP+ was Kali River Rapids. I got soaked. It’s a fun ride but only if you don’t mind getting 100 percent soaked. It felt since it was so hot out but Florida water is kinda questionable to me. I felt dirty afterwards.

We didn’t do much at Animal Kingdom after that. We got lunch at Yak and Yeti (QS). I got the honey chicken and chocolate pudding for dessert. Not the best meal I’ve ever had, but certainly not the worst. Then we took this picture and left:

The curse of the riding tank top strikes again in what is supposed to be a family friendly portrait in front of the tree of life

Actually, that’s not entirely true. You know those little stuffed animals that are the Disney babies wrapped up in blanket? I might have bought the one that looks like a gorilla because it reminded me of a baby Terk. Maybe.

Me = Trash

We went back to the hotel and swam in the pool for a few hours. They were doing the un-birthday party for kids where they had all the games and such. It was pretty cute. Then we went back to the hotel to shower and get ready for dinner!

We had a 1900 Park Fare ADR for dinner that evening. First, we got this picture:

Bsi1mTbIEAAeZwW.jpg

Of course this isn't the same photo from the beginning of the TR! Me, too lazy to download another one? Noo....

Our table wasn’t ready yet after that, so we had to wait in the gorgeous Grand Floridian lobby. Which I had no complaints over ;)

After our short wait, we got to our table. I was going to get a plate of food, but out of the corner of my eye I see Prince Charming getting ready to head to our table. And I was not about to miss my meet with Prince Charming.

At first it looked like he was going to walk right by our table, but he stopped at the last second and my heart melted. He greeted me as Princess Kaitlyn and he said I looked beautiful and asked me if I was dressed up for a special occasion, or if I was just always this pretty. Lord have mercy on my soul.

10553540_689144117825405_7328167828201751753_n.jpg

... And then I melted straight into the floor. And that's where strawberry soup comes from, kids!

Then I was able to get my food. I got a little bit of everything. I’ve gotta tell you, I think out of all the buffets we went to, 1900 Park Fare might have been the best. I was especially looking forward to the strawberry soup, which didn’t disappoint.

Then we met Cinderella. Honestly, my Cinderella interaction didn’t thrill me. She seemed to have a bit of a ‘tude and was rushing away from us. Meh.

10383559_689143921158758_2733353440989871477_n.jpg

Like the majority of my life, I was once again caught staring at the wrong camera.

Then came Anastasia, followed by Drizella. They were both really funny! I can’t remember too many specifics about our interactions, except for that Drizella and I were bonding over our hair.

10394493_689143971158753_3733522084827632760_n.jpg

She was actually.... kinda sweet.... in her own special way.... it was nice.

10537402_689144054492078_1700166976551744884_n.jpg

In hindsight, these pictures probably would have came out better if I had given my phone to the toddler next to us instead of my dad.

I got my dessert plate after that. Then Lady Tremaine came along. I asked her which stepsister was smarter, to which she replied Drizella- because Anastasia ran off with a baker. So that was an accomplishment for the evening.

10527272_689144144492069_2854288745914576575_n.jpg

I saved this one onto my computer as "mfwdolewhiplinesarelong.jpg"

1st thingz 1st, im da realest

The rest of the night was kinda uneventful. We went back to the park to go on a few rides (we went back on peter pan, winnie the pooh, and small world) and to see Tinkerbell fly over the castle during wishes. Unfortunately, because it had been threatening to thunderstorm, Tinkerbell didn’t fly that night and everyone was pretty angry about it so most people left early- including my family. We had to get a good night’s sleep and get ready for the next day, our big Epcot day!

We are going to 1900 Park Faire in December and have heard that the interaction with the step sisters can be hysterical!

Have a great time at camp and will look forward to another update in a few weeks.

Haha, love your interaction with the prince!

Great to see the stepsisters since my sister and I are going to dress like them for the princess half marathon :goodvibes

Have fun at camp!

Is it bad that I just looked through your instagram (because it was in your signature) and saw a bunch of pictures from your trip which may or may not have spoiled some things for me?

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry for the spoilers! What did I spoil for you?

Subbing :goodvibes I love it so far!!!

The Maleficent cake pop looks PERFECT

I'm dying at all your character interactions- mine are usually boring but wow Gaston and Fairy Godmother just yes

Thank you.

And OMG he was SO annoying. And I've heard of that rumor too!

It was a pretty good cake pop all in all. I think they're getting their cake pops from Starbucks, because that's what it tasted like.

Thank you so much, I studied the characters well before I went to WDW ;)

I LOVED your interaction with Gaston! He DOES get close and personal doesn't he! Also, I'm totes jealous that you got to meet Fairy Godmother, you look so happy with her!

Can't wait til the next installment! :)

Thanks! He's so much fun to talk to! And the Fairy Godmother experience was just precious. I loved talking to her!

Posted this morning xo

1900 Park Fare is just a great restaurant in general. It's one of my new all-time favorites ;)

Thank you! See you then!

Haha, love your interaction with the prince!

Great to see the stepsisters since my sister and I are going to dress like them for the princess half marathon :goodvibes

Have fun at camp!

I ranked my interactions this year and I think my meet with the prince comes in at #1. It was SO much fun!

The stepsisters are the funniest girls in WDW. Good luck at the half!

Thank you, see you in a couple weeks :)

First things first: I love your flamingo shirt! I bought my DD one for our AK day.

And then

"... And then I melted straight into the floor. And that's where strawberry soup comes from, kids!"

Oh my goodness that made me laugh! :lmao:

Sounds like a great day at AK. I agree about Rafiki's Planet Watch. We went for the first time in January. It was probably a one-and-done for us but I'll see if my DS wants to do it again. He did REALLY like getting to pet a snake... :crazy2:

Glad I'm not the only one cursed with shirts that ride up. And for me-- pants that ride down, as well. UGH! Why won't it all stay where it's supposed to?!? :scratchin

Prince Charming looks about 13 in that picture. Talk about a baby face!

Have fun @ camp!!!

I LOVE the flamingo pattern at Macys. I bought it in the shirt and in a dress, which you will see later. Whoops!

Thank you, thank you, I try ;)

It was a pretty good day at AK, but I regret not seeing Festival of the Lion King and not going on EE. Next time, for sure. Rafiki's planet watch is ok, but yeah, I can't see going back- unless I really wanted to meet Rafiki. Which might happen in the future. LOL.

For me it's shirts that ride up and when I buy jean shorts that are folded up at the bottom, they fold down. Like, what is that about???

Everyone says that and I didn't notice it until staring back at the photos. He had a deep voice, though. DCP much?

Thanks, see you when I get back :goodvibes

You didn't really spoil much. But if you put some of those pictures in the TR, I'll just be like, "Hm. I saw those on her Instagram."

Love your flamingo shirt!

Great interaction with Prince Charming, I would've died if he said that to me!

I love the stepsisters!

Can't wait to read more when you get back.

Btw, going way back to the beginning, I went to South of the Border over the weekend while my family was driving to my cousin's house (12 hour drive, yay). I never sausage a place! It was... interesting.

Looks like you had a fun morning at DAK! Love how Rafiki did the Simba blessing thinamajig on your head. And I love the gorilla in the blanket you got, I actually thought that was Terk. I honestly would not be surprised if Disney has actual Terk ones or those are them.

Love 1900 Park Fare! I've done breakfast and unfortunately never got to try the Strawberry Soup. I searched the buffet forever, but it was nowhere to be found. I really want to go back there at night so I can meet Drizella, Anastasia and Lady Tremaine, they seem like so much fun! And wow, Prince Charming looks YOUNG!

Sorry to hear you guys didn't get to see Tink fly over during Wishes. :( Hopefully you all did another night. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

Stagedoor Manor was amazing but I'm happy to be back home. Let me scroll through your replies and then I'll get to work on Epcot day :-)
