You have always wondered and... NO IT NEVER GETS OLD LIVING 5 MINUTES FROM DISNEY!!! Mom/Daughter TR

Wow, talk about some beautiful views!!! :cloud9: Indeed, you should have played the lottery!

One of the nice things about living close enough to Disney is feeling like its ok to relax at the pool or enjoy the resort. When you fly a long distance and have limited time on vacation you are so anxious to hit the parks that you don't always have the time to just breathe and soak it all in.

This really hits home for me. I really need to force myself to try to relax sometimes when I'm at Disney. I can so easily get caught up in the "I'm NEVER here often enough, GO GO GO, DO DO DO!!!" It really is nice to just relax and enjoy the beauty of being at Disney. :goodvibes

I love the room and window decorations! :thumbsup2

I think that when you realize just being in Disney for the atmosphere and people, is enough is when you know it really is "home".
This is the place that we are at, too. We have been fortunate to have been able to make several trips to WDW in the last two years and this sums up why we still come back. It certainly isn't for the rides. There is a lot to do and see and we keep meeting people, strangers really, who we are just enjoying Disney, like we are. :)

We definitely don't rush thru the parks anymore. I do still have a hard time taking a pool break, though. It's ok on a dedicated pool day, but on other days I get antsy and just want to get back! I'm better than I used to be, though. My 16 year old has caught the park 24/7 bug. She called SAB BORING and just wanted to go to the park on our pool day last trip! Definitely my child...

Believe me, I totally get this. Up until we moved here that is pretty much how we were. My attitude always was "we can relax at home. We are at Disney, get up and get moving!".

I'm in! I just realized a new TR was going on! :yay:

:welcome: Glad you found us!

I loved the view from that terrace. Just amazing!

It can be a challenge to find the balance that works for your family. Caitlin and I were always "go go go" while Dale complained he didn't get enough time to chill. He much prefers our new way

Can't wait to read more! Fantastic upgrade.

Thank you!

subscribing. I've followed your other TR and am excited to be taking a Mother/Daughter trip in May with my mom for my birthday!!

It is funny how for frequent visitors, whether you live close or not, your trips evolve over the years. It switches from the rush-rush to just relaxing and taking it all in. Or it could mean we are getting old :rotfl:

That is SO true for my family at Disneyland. It might be because we're frequent visitors....or being old :rotfl2:

that whole pool area does look nice and relaxing. How great that they offer a Mickey bar as dessert with the dining plan - every place should do that!

Well, the spoiler alert gave it away a bit but with just a couple of hours to spare and the location of your resort I was thinking a hop over to EPCOT was in order

... speaking of "hopping" (how's that for a segue?) I hope your entire family had lovely holiday this past weekend!

I know what you mean about relaxing at the pool. Since buying into DVC we have been able to come more often and we take more pool breaks now too. Smart thinking about have a pool bag ready. we will have to do that too. love the view from your room.

We went to DL in Aug. 2012 and loved it! We envy you being a passholder!

Disney should offer Mickey bars everywhere. Who doesn't love them?!

St. Paddy's was the next day so we didn't go to Epcot on this particular day.

We did thank you! We spent time with our favorite rabbits and mouse!

You have had some amazing pools to enjoy too! Don't forget to put the sunblock in the bag :)

Wow, what an upgrade! That is fantastic and what better than for a CM! pixiedust:

Thank you! :)

Following along! I literally squealed out loud when I read about your upgrade! I think I would fall on the floor with excitement if that ever happened to me!

Glad to have you along! We were so excited we had to stop ourselves from jumping up and down

I now have two more items on my bucket list.
Getting Deedee an upgrade... and being there to see it when it happens.

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Easter or Passover or weekend with your families! I am off this morning so I thought I would do a real life update!

As I already said I am working full time at the Boathouse and this morning I put in for my transfer to seasonal or part time or full time at Disney. Cross your fingers for me!!! I am really hoping for seasonal or part time!

This weekend I worked on Saturday (430-1 at All Stars can't wait for that to be over!) and was actually off on Easter!

We started our Easter by heading to the Magic Kingdom! Once we got inside we stopped to see a very special couple!

The line wasn't bad at all at this point but when we walked by later in the day it was terrible!

We had, had a fast pass at Peter Pan but our stop ran us a little bit late so it was time to check in for breakfast. What's more Eastery than having breakfast with the Winnie the Pooh friends?!

We all enjoyed seeing the characters and enjoying the yummy breakfast!

After breakfast we went on some of our favorite rides! Buzz, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, and Haunted Mansion! After the Haunted Mansion it was time for the parade! We only wanted to see the start of the parade because it was a special Easter add on!

I loved seeing the hippos and ostriches!

Mr and Mrs Bunny getting some loving!

The butterflies were pretty too! They had some of the southern belles, the flowers and the butterflies out taking pictures with guests near the new hub area.

Daisy is fabulous!

All of the bunnies!

Some cute chicks!

and the end of the parade!

After the parade was over we hit up Pirates then headed home for a bit. We headed back out and to Epcot around 3.

We were having dinner with at the Garden Grill! My friend Hunter joined us and it was a great family meal!

We got to see all of the usual suspects!

Family picture!

We all had a great time and ate way too much food! To end our night mom, dad and I all went and volunteered at Give Kids the World! I helped out with their Candyland party and mom and dad drove the train around.

Yesterday was another day off for me so we had some more fun! Mom and I went and watched the first Tigers game of the season at Buffalo Wild Wings during the day. At night mom, dad and I all headed to the Poly. For those of you that don't know, they opened up a Trader Sam's at the Poly! For those of you that read our DL trip report you all know how much we loved that place! Hunter and I had tried to get in when they first opened but they were full for the entire night! Yesterday though we were lucky enough to get in!

It is a bit different from the DL one and has way less seating! When we were first let in there weren't any seats for us! They go by capacity number not by tables. That was a bit annoying but after standing awkwardly for a bit we got a seat in a corner.

Dad and I both ordered specialty cocktails. I got the Pearl and dad got the Krakatoa.

Both were very good! Plus we got to keep the glasses!

We also got some food and I got the headhunters roll.

It was delicious!

It was great watching all of the special effects!

I won't tell you too much about them though in case you ever want to go!

The outside bar is cute too if you can't get inside!

We finished our second round of drinks then headed to grab a couple dole whips before heading out.

I finished out my night at Splitsville with Hunter.

I highly recommend going here if you have time on your vacation! It's super cute and we had a blast!
