Staples has $50 GS cards for $41.99

Interesting ...

  • Included in the gift card purchase price is a $1.99 Secure Tracking Fee. This covers trackable shipping through the US Post Office, to ensure safe arrival.
  • Staples DOES NOT sell more than $2000 of gift cards in any order due to Federal anti-money laundering regulations

With my endgame Disney options limited and very YMMV (PPDG>BB, eBay>Sears, etc), I'm looking at churning for Southwest for our flights.

I know there's a limit of 4 kinds of payment for SW, and I don't want to book separately. Are there any of the large GC sellers (GCM, SVM, etc) on EBay that sell the $500 SW cards? I may have missed them, but I couldn't find them. Another option is if GS sells them in-store, as my locations have zero issue with GC to GC currently.

I was at Gamestop the other day and saw the loadable $XX-$500 Southwest gift cards.

And that is only the feedback from ppl who can actually make a purchase. There are so many that cannot buy or have just given up (me included). I called yesterday and was given all kinds of excuses including that I do not use PP enough - I have been buying and selling on Ebay since 1999, and use PP pretty much everyday.
Right. It's beyond ridiculous. I had one rep at PP tell me to just buy it from a different seller. LOL... Ummm.. PayPal is the ONLY seller allowed to sell digital gift cards, and did you really just suggest I NOT shop at your store and instead buy from someone else? Now that is great customer service right there. :crazy2:

When I was speaking with the eBay rep again last night, he was trying to figure out a work around so that I could make my purchase. I told him that the very best work around would be to dump PayPal and allow an actual, reliable, seller to sell digital gift cards. That got him giggling. He is going to call me again today, after he has talked to people to see if they can find the problem with PPDG. Unfortunately, I will be in my car on my way to San Luis Obispo for a board game convention, so won't be able to test anything out, but I will be interested to hear what he discovered.

Do these fuel rewards promos work at Smiths also for us west coasters? I know they have Kroger products as their private label.

EDIT: Googled it, and it turns out you can! I didn't know Kroger acquired Smiths.

We have Ralph's in Southern California (Kroger) and although they do offer fuel rewards, you're never allowed to use more than 20 cents off per gallon. And frankly, Shell gas stations are typically 15-20 cents more than the other gas stations so I'm not saving anything. And there aren't a ton of Shells around me either - the closest is about 4 miles and that kind of defeats the purpose. So anyway, just check out all the scenarios based on your situation before you go that route.

They told me to use a different form of payment

That sucks!

It's $1 max off here in Southern Nevada (Vegas) for Smiths and Shell stations.

Wow that would put a damper on savings-in PA we can redeem up to the cost of gas at getgo/giant eagle

You know what, if I recall, I got gas at a Shell in Vegas and used my Ralph's rewards and I think I might have got like 40 or 50 cents off. Maybe it's just a California thing.

The ENTIRE amount?! Wow - that is AWESOME!

Target GC questions:

Does the 5% off w/ red card still work? Is there a limit? Can I buy $100 GC a week? (trip is in November) And just to be sure, I can use them to call and apply to my vacation package balance correct?

Weird. Maybe the readers can tell if you're using a Smiths or Ralph card.

Target GC questions:

Yes

Is there a limit?

Not really, but if you push into 5 digit amounts through Target .com, you may find yourself locked out from purchasing because some computer algorithm labels you a "reseller".

Can I buy $100 GC a week? (trip is in November)

Sure!

And just to be sure, I can use them to call and apply to my vacation package balance correct?

Yes. You may want to combine them first. You can combine cards together (online) up to $1,000 per card. I believe the URL is DisneyGiftCard .com or something close to that.

Well, I decided to dip my toe in the water and try a BB and a GS churn. I did $100 BB and $50 GS. I went today to the BB in Pflugerville, TX (shout out to my fellow Austin area churners) and the cashier didn't blink an eye. Then I went to the GS right around the corner and was DENIED. He said that the POS will allow it but that there's a "policy" that he couldn't do it. I asked if this was a new policy and he said it's been since the first of the year. I'll try another one. Any other Austin area churners had any luck at a local GS?

When ordering Disney cards from target.com are they always sent by usps? I'd prefer they are sent that way since my mailbox has a lock but I vaguely think I remember seeing something saying over a certain amount is sent another way.
