Cheating on Disney? Where to?

Where does everyone else go when they cheat on Disney???

I just booked a trip to Beaches Turks and Caicos instead of a 2nd trip to Disney this Fall.

I also booked a cruise in the new Carnival Vista for January.

So where are all of you going when you cheat on Disney, DCL, etc.

Oh and who's been to Beaches and has tips & tricks for me. My son will be almost 3.5.

Universal so relaxing. No planning. Just pick your resort- one that has express pass is best and enjoy.

We spend a hassle free week at Universal Orlando at the Portofino Bay Hotel. Heavenly!

Or we do a week of theater and fine dining in New York City.

We had passes last year at Universal. Haven't been to Disney in almost 5 years. I keep pricing, asking questions and reading about going again but Universal keeps calling my name. With Volcano bay opening I think we may go to Universal again instead od Disney

We're doing a big trip to Hawaii next year instead of Florida/WDW. After our last trip to WDW we felt we were done with it. I think may do a Disney cruise at some point but we are also open to another cruise line.

Most frequently, the beach. Specifically, Panama City Beach. We also really love Lake Of The Ozarks. It's nearby for us, but it would be a worthwhile destination (for us anyway) even if it weren't.

The Smoky Mountains have always been our first love, as well as many other National Parks. We go to Disney less and less now.

We got Silver Dollar City (Branson MO-we are about 45 min away) season passes this year (for first time in about 5 years).

Mount Rushmore - looked into this for this trip but boy are the flights exxy to get close.

Um, might have to have stern words to mum and dad about a travel allowance to do all this

Usually road trips to National or State Parks. We've done trailer camping in Mammoth. We do regular beach trips. This summer we're going to San Jose/SFO but that's partially for a conference. Next summer we're going to DC. I was also thinking of getting Universal Studios APs to check out the new Harry Potter world.

When I go to Orlando, I usually try and have the time and money to hit Disney, Universal, Sea World, and sometimes BG Tampa. I think all are worth visiting.


I also like fishing in the Keys and drinking in Key West.

We're going to New Orleans in December instead of WDW. This year (2016) is the first year we haven't gone to WDW at least once since 1992.

Next year we plan to do a 3 or 4 city tour in Europe. London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Bsrlin.

Universal! We visit family in Florida almost every year, and try to tack on a few days at the theme parks. We usually alternate between Disney and Universal, and love them both!

We also have season passes to out "local" (still a two-hour drive ) Six Flags this summer. - I know some Disney purists would faint because it's "just not the same," but I think it makes for a fun day!

Not sure why you call it "cheating" on Disney. I've never taken an oath of loyalty to them -- tho we have dumped buckets of $$$$ into their coffers.

Our next trip will be to the east coast to help DD welcome our new grand daughter in September. That's where our loyalties are.

What's Volcano Bay? Sounds promising.

We already took a trip to Universal this year and it was great. Next we are planning to visit British Columbia and are doing a kayak trip with orcas and humpbacks in Port McNeill. Then we head over to Carmel by the Sea and spend a few days at the beach and in Monterey.

Disney just doesn't have enough new stuff to get me over there. I rented all our DVC points and it was surprisingly fast and easy. We'll be back at DIsney again once there is something to get us to go back. A couple updated attractions and a new fireworks show is not enough.

My DS is a huge Lebron fan so I plan on buying him tickets for Christmas and doing a trip to Cleveland.
We are planning Niagara Falls and Chicago soon also.
