The Who did that one, not Aerosmith.
Ain't that a--oh, never mind.
The Who did that one, not Aerosmith.
Yeah, my title has nothing to do with this particular update. But I wanted to use an Aerosmith song title and this was the closest I could think of. Bonus points if anyone can name an Aerosmith song that better fits this update.
When I last updated… you know, back in May, we had just boarded a boat to take us from EPCOT to Hollywood Studios. We had an hour window to get there to use a FP window that was quickly closing. Especially as we sat for 20 minutes waiting to get underway. They finally got going, but after the first stop, it became clear that we weren’t likely going to make our window. We sat what felt like an eternity at each dock between the parks.
I proceeded through the line without even stopping and given the fact that I was by myself, I was sent directly to a speeder getting ready to board. The CM opened the doors, took one step into the speeder and then told us to turn around. I wasn’t sure what was going on, but he clearly smelled something. He walked up and down every row and finally located the offending odor below a seat in one of the middle rows. He called for a protein spill clean-up and moved us over to another speeder to wait for a ride.
$80 later, she ended up with some Minnie Mouse crocs, Frozen underwear and a new outfit from one of the gift shops.
We headed back out into the courtyard after meeting some Disney Junior friends and saw these guys out on patrol. It was awesome seeing them, but it was weird how they interacted with people. They pretty much ignored anyone trying to take a picture or a selfie with them, but then they went out of their way to harass some foreign guy who was standing off by himself and seemingly had no clue why they were talking to him.
In hindsight, this was probably a really stupid idea given the reliability of the ride that afternoon. I’m not sure if she could have made it through a 20 minute breakdown sitting in one of the cars. But that was all beside the point. We got on, we rode and everybody was happy.
See… I always see interesting things with scooters. Always.
My SiL and Nephew did this while we were there last week and she said it was adorable. Definitely one of my nephews favorite things he saw.Our first FP was for DW and DD to see Disney Junior.
Always a plus!I proceeded through the line without even stopping and given the fact that I was by myself, I was sent directly to a speeder getting ready to board.
Gross! I have to say though, I've had felt like I was gonna have a protein spill on that ride before lol Aside from Mission Space, thats probably the only other ride at WDW that gets me a little queasy.
Awe, poor honey! She just wanted to do it all by herself. As it turns out, DD finally decided she needed to use the restroom. She was being independent and wanted to go into a stall by herself though. She proceeded to fail to make it onto the toilet before the floodgates burst. She needed an entirely new outfit, including shoes.
Poor mom and dad too paying $80 for an outfit for a growing kid lol$80 later, she ended up with some Minnie Mouse crocs, Frozen underwear and a new outfit from one of the gift shops.

They were pretty neat. My sisters boyfriend was taping them interacting wth some other guests and one walked right up to his camera and pretty much butted his helmet up to the lens lolIt was awesome seeing them, but it was weird how they interacted with people. They pretty much ignored anyone trying to take a picture or a selfie with them, but then they went out of their way to harass some foreign guy who was standing off by himself and seemingly had no clue why they were talking to him.
Not the best handled situation by Lord Vader. Believe me I'm all for authentic character interaction, but when you can clearly tell that a small child is not having it at all and theres other people he could have diverted his attention to I'd have been a little PO'd at the sitatuation as well. But he had no interest in interacting with me. Not at all.
He went straight to DD.
She wasn’t impressed. In fact she was terrified. I forget what he said but he got right in her face and did the force choke hand motion. I’m just proud of her for not having a total and complete meltdown, but I had to turn and position myself between her and him.
I dont think I've ever seen it that long during our visits.Well, I approached the queue, planning to go to the single rider line. The CM there told someone the Single Rider wait was over 60 minutes.
.In hindsight, this was probably a really stupid idea given the reliability of the ride that afternoon. I’m not sure if she could have made it through a 20 minute breakdown sitting in one of the cars. But that was all beside the point. We got on, we rode and everybody was happy
A second scooter loaded into the boat. This one came bouncing off the dock, I'm pretty sure she caught some air, and onto the back of the boat. Without slowing down she whipped a U turn through the door, tires squealing and parked it squarely into the vacant spot next to the scooter already on the boat.
Definitely pure dumb luck on the first part lol Unfortunately the second part is what we more commenly encounter at Disney World! She backed up hitting someone standing behind her. She still didn’t have an angle to get out the door, she pulled up slamming into the wall of the boat. She backed up again smoking the scooter that she was parked next to. I’ll just keep it short. Picture someone backing up and pulling forward on a scooter about 10 times with the wheels turned at various angles. There was an opening plenty wide for her to back out of the spot and go out the door and she managed to hit everything but that open space. I was glad DD wasn’t sitting in the stroller and it was folded in my lap, because the stroller next to us got hit twice.
Great pic![URL='http://s1126.photobucket.com/user/fixy2273/media/EPCOT_ECENTR4_7579363956_1.jpeg.html']
Thanks rough!! Thanks for the sympathy points!Vrajewski: 5 points for being the first to answer, 5 points for answering all questions wrong.
I don't know... some dusty old thread that some ****** decided to revive.ZZzzzzz....huh? What's this?
I looked up their entire library. Apparently there's one called, "Ain't That A B----."
Hell, I don't even remember. I'm still trying to remember if this all happened before or after the exploding helicopter.Oh, don't worry, I'm sure we all remember.
You ride Star Tours. They either do Disney Junior or shopping. You. Win.
That explains it!What was @pkondz doing down there?
Ain't that a...
YOU RUINED MY WHOLE VACATION!!!Head straight for Guest Services and demand justice!
Yikes. That's a little intense, don't you think? Or, sticking with the Aerosmith theme:
Crazy.
I knew it!!!Spoiler.
Anyway, Rey Kenobi should take care of him.
Love In An Elevator.
I thought that was really cool too.The models are by far the coolest part. Well, those and the multi-plane camera.
Livin' On The Edge
Oh, I've pulled up the playlist already.Livin' On The Edge! (sing with me)
There's a difference between those with experience and... well, the ones that I tend to attract.I'm actually not surprised. @franandaj has some mad scooter skillz.
This sounds so entertaining.
Dude Looks Like A Lady.
I Don't Want To Miss A Thing!
Well, it pretty much was, but you know how the whole "buying forgiveness from the kids that got left home" thing works. You just blow the budget for that.Wait, I thought that budget was spent on the new outfit!
Nice try.Who ARE you??
Thanks. Literally the best picture I've ever taken.GREAT shot there!
Rain? Fog? Plague of locusts?
Fine, I'll go with rain.
Four. Mickey, Chip, Dale, Tinkerbell.
Be Our Guest. I guess.
Carousel of Progress

It's A Small World
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, after getting a nice view of it from the train.
Snooze in a chair by the pool?
Go swimming in the pool.
Got em!A beignet from POFQ?
Good one!Cry because you didn't get to ride RnR
I like the ease of it, but a lot of times it is just more feasible to just drive.I hate when this happens, another reason I dislike Disney transportation.
Ouch, that's one expensive potty accident.
I agree. I mean I get why they act the way they do and it makes sense, but they have really cool costumes and who wouldn't want to get a quick picture with them, right? We had the same experience in May. I fine these extremely frustrating as a guest to be ignored when you are seeking something out. I know I'm going to really hate in Jan when they do it to the boys
Yeah, it was pretty apparent early on, so I just made sure to keep myself between him and her and she was ok. Never really happy, but she was ok.am happy you got to see him, but that unfortunate about DD, obviously this Darth Vader can't read the room. She doesn't look to traumatized in the picture though.
Yeah... didn't even consider it in the moment.Taking quite the gamble that you won't need to buy another $80 outfit
They just seem to find me. I'm either blessed or cursed. You have the best scooter stories.
Not a bad day at all. Not like we planned, but it turned out fine! Thanks!Sounds like despite some setbacks the day turned out pretty good. So happy to have an update on this TR and that the baby is home a doing well.
Got em.1. It was very cold and rainy.
2. 5 characters before lunch
3. Columbia Harbour House
4. BTRR

The kids love it. I hate it. The show is ok, but I hate sitting on the floor. Half of my body falls asleep. My SiL and Nephew did this while we were there last week and she said it was adorable. Definitely one of my nephews favorite things he saw.
Always a plus!
I get that. I don't do great with the simulator rides myself. I actually think the new version of Star Tours is much easier than the original though.Gross! I have to say though, I've had felt like I was gonna have a protein spill on that ride before lol Aside from Mission Space, thats probably the only other ride at WDW that gets me a little queasy.
That's her. Always. Miss independent.Awe, poor honey! She just wanted to do it all by herself.
Poor mom and dad too paying $80 for an outfit for a growing kid lol
[URL='http://s1126.photobucket.com/user/fixy2273/media/STUDIO_PLYDSCHAR1_7579057243_1.jpeg.html']Thanks!
Ok, that's cool! They were pretty neat. My sisters boyfriend was taping them interacting wth some other guests and one walked right up to his camera and pretty much butted his helmet up to the lens lol
Yeah, it just felt like the interaction could have been better overall and less intense for her without him having to break character at all.Not the best handled situation by Lord Vader. Believe me I'm all for authentic character interaction, but when you can clearly tell that a small child is not having it at all and theres other people he could have diverted his attention to I'd have been a little PO'd at the sitatuation as well.
I never see a reasonable line there anymore. I mean seriously...I dont think I've ever seen it that long during our visits.
Yeah, we'd have probably just called it a night at that point. You got lucky! I think it would have been a little damper on the night if you'd had to buy another outfit for DD! Glad it all worked out for the best though
At least it was cheap entertainment!Definitely pure dumb luck on the first part lol Unfortunately the second part is what we more commenly encounter at Disney World!
Thanks!Great pic!
Well, I have to reward the effort. Thanks rough!! Thanks for the sympathy points!

Totally agree. Too much.I mean it was a really cool setting and a fantastic Darth Vader. I like the fact that he’s in character, but I think he could be in character and still not traumatize a 3 year old girl, you know what I mean?
How long was the standby line?Well, I approached the queue, planning to go to the single rider line. The CM there told someone the Single Rider wait was over 60 minutes.

Totally agree with you!And I guess my review will be kind of anticlimactic. It was good. But I can't say that it was worth all the hype and the cost.

Absolutely. There would have likely been an even bigger mess to clean up if he hadn't caught it.Well, glad he smelled it before someone stepped in it, I guess.
And don't let her wear fuzzy boots that just collect the pee.*making note to put a full spare outfit/shoes for Izzy in park bag...*

I don't know. I think there are a lot of people who are open to change for this one. Personally, this is my favorite ride so I hate to see them mess with it, but we'll see.HI Andy,
Climbing my way out of a very deep DISHole. Slowly. Very, very slowly. Sorry, Aero isn't a big fave of mine, so I had no idea. Frankly, I'm glad the ride's getting a facelift. But I know I'm in the vast minority.
I don't know. I think there are a lot of people who are open to change for this one. Personally, this is my favorite ride so I hate to see them mess with it, but we'll see.
I've not seen anything that indicates any certain huge changes in the immediate future. @Steppesister , do you know anything?Did I miss something? They are doing something to RnRC?
I've not seen anything that indicates any certain huge changes in the immediate future. @Steppesister , do you know anything?
My mom swears she's seen that it is going down for an extended refurb next year and that they're going to completely re-theme it. I keep telling her there is no possible way they'd close one of the headline rides down for several months to gut it while half of that park is already under construction. It just doesn't make sense.
But on the flip side of that, there have been enough rumors pop up the last couple of years that it wouldn't surprise me if they did something significant there. Possibly a re-theme, after they get Star Wars land and Toy Story up and running. Or if I have my way this will just be rumors and they'll leave it alone.
At least that's what the bus driver said...
Hmmm... I don't know anything about the pre-show going away. I mean they had that situation this summer where they realized Steven Tyler made a hand gesture that is somewhat inappropriate at one point in the pre-show this summer but to the best of my knowledge they edited that part and were still showing the normal pre-show.Only that on a couple of websites there was speculation that it will be going down for a refurb and probably re-theming. I suspect the track and ride will stay the same, but get a facelift. I could go out on a very thin limb and guess it MIGHT be Marvel and that ToT would follow suit in the future. Who knows. I do know that they weren't running the pre-show at all, but that may be normal for RD???
Without giving away too much, they were running the preshow within the last week.
I'm pretty convinced it was a RD thing and they were just herding people through as fast as they could until the morning crush of 15-30 minutes was over.
Who knows.... I do know, well, NM that's something for my own TR. Alison, are you home now?
Same Old Song and Dance
Yeah, my title has nothing to do with this particular update. But I wanted to use an Aerosmith song title and this was the closest I could think of. Bonus points if anyone can name an Aerosmith song that better fits this update.

Last night. Midnight. And then they turned off the power for maintenance at 8:30AM. just now going back home.
Uuuuuugh!!! Not a fun way to come home. Our "little mishap" was just as infuriating.
