Pandora allergies

I had read somewhere that people had been reporting that there allergies have been going crazy there, but now I can't find the post. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Allergic to fake plants? This sounds like when people with nut allergies were freaking out about the fake peanuts in Storybook Circus's pavement.

FWIW, this has been a tough allergy season in general.

I have severe allergies, and basically anything with a strong smell can set my nose off. It could just be that with all the new plastic plants/items in the area, the smell of that is very strong and making people have a fit. Add that onto smells coming from food carts, and artificial smells that Disney sometimes likes to "filter" into certain areas for "mood". Well... most people would sneeze! lol

Not all the plants are fake. Probably about 50% of them are real and may be more exotic plants that people are not exposed to in their normal lives.

Also, the lack of rains in FL this year has led to poor air quality in general. Rain washes pollen grains away and when it doesn't rain often enough, it just builds up on surfaces and hangs in the humid air.

This year has been a MISERABLE allergy season for DD. Then again I dont remember having Springs that felt like Fall, and only recently the humidity has gone from nothing to nearly unbearable.

I haven't seen any posts regarding allergies at Pandora here. Not on the regular board. If there is one it must have come and gone fast, maybe moved to another board?

Till June. June has been wetter than most any other month ever. There isn't a lack of rain anymore.

Well, ironically, too much rain all at once also triggers mold spore formation, which also aggravates allergies.

I have been wondering about this. We went to AK for the first time last September and I was super sick for the remainder of our Disney trip with allergy issues. Once I returned home I had a series of injections to fix the issue. So, this time I have scheduled our AK day for the last day of our trip just because some of the plants bother me. And I LOVE that park so I am not going to give it up! I will load up on the injections before hand! The price of being a Disney addict....:sad2:

Could be something with fake scents used in the park to give that "just like alien planet" smell. :)

I'm not in FL but mine and my kids allergies have been awful this year so far. Grass pollen is up to high so here we go again this week. Maybe its just timing that Pandora opened during spring allergy season.

My son's allergies have been through the roof this season. Makes me nervous about visiting in the spring. Even with prescription meds, we still can't always keep them under control. Thank goodness they only last a few months out of the year.
