Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Information & Questions

We're staying here for the first time Sept 25-29. DS 4 is beside himself about sleeping "under" Nemo on the pull down bed! Quick question, and I'm sure its been mentioned before, but are there towels at the pool or do we need to bring beach towels from home? This is our first trip where we'll have lots of down time at the resort and we'll be using the pool for the first time ever at a Disney resort (we usually go in January and its always been freezing!)

In a "fairly" recent addition to the Value Resort amenities, all the Value Resort Pools now have Pool Towels(they are not as large as Beach Towels however).:)

Room request question here: staying at AofA for the first time next month in a LM room, curious if it's a waste of a room request to indicate close to transportation? I know this room type is the farthest away, but hoping that making that request would get me the closest to the food court and bus stop as possible. Any other tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

I don't think it's a waste of a request. My son and his wife stayed in a LM room a few years ago and they requested "close to transportation". They ended up in building 7 in the room closest to the LK section. They were closer to the bus stops and food court than the people staying in Building 2 of the Cars section. You could also try using the Touring Plans Room Request Fax service. With that you can choose a specific room that you'd like to be in (or at least the area you'd like to be in). We've had great success using that service.

Does a pack and play request go in the online check in or is that something I need to call to ask for?

I am curious about the answer to your post. I am surprised you have not received a reply. I am also wondering if it is a pack and play you will receive at AOA or a crib.

They have really monkied around with the options during Online Check In so not sure if Pack-n-Play is still an options. Either way, I would call and add a request for one to your reservation. Just be aware that by doing this, or requesting one during Online Check In, is only letting them know you would like one. It will not be in your room when you arrive. You will need to call Housekeeping when you get to your room and ask them to bring it to you.

Pack-N-Play.

If you book the Suite option, if that's all that's available except for CARS, can you make a request of which one you want if it becomes available?

Right now only the Suite option and CARS is available. I just wondered if you book that option would they still put us in CARS, which is not what we would like? DGS doesn't really know anything about the CARS theme and he's really why we are wanting to stay here.

Has anyone stayed recently that can give info on bug spray at the hotel? Was any provided in rooms or available at the hotel shop? DSIL traveling with us will be 6 months pregnant and was wondering about bug repellant due to Zika.

Thanks!

I believe most of the hotels have a "spray station" now, and MK and Epcot had them last time I was out there (less than 2 months ago). The brand I saw was OFF. I have sensitive skin, so I usually pack my own, though I really only needed it late at night.

Should I assume there will be a lot of construction noise if I'm staying in a LM room in December because of the gondolas?

I have two adults and two kids staying in a cars suite. I saw there is no closet. Are there enough drawers to unpack suitcases? Also where do you store your empty suitcases?
