Eternelle's Elixirs - carry-on friendly?

Hi everyone! I'm headed to Universal's Harry Potter World in September and am planning to travel super light to avoid baggage fees. I would like to bring back some Eternelle's Elixirs to use for inexpensive gifts. I've looked everywhere but cannot seem to find this info - are they carry-on friendly? Are they within the 3oz allowed by TSA?

I was wondering this as well! From pictures I've seen of the elixirs next to the gillywater bottle, they look pretty tiny, so I'm hoping they're carry-on size :)

IMG_2243.JPG Could not see a marking as to how many ounces. Maybe this visual well help.

More importantly, ask if the bottles are marked with the ounces. Many times, TSA will confiscate containers that are clearly under the 3oz limit if they are not marked.

They can. But I've never heard of it happening.
I had it happen and saw it happen to others. Usually at the small airports where they have nothing better to do than to investigate each and every item. ;)

I tried looking it up on the TSA site and it doesn't say anything about them having to be marked - so maybe that changed? It's been a few years since I had it, or have seen it, happen. Maybe the agent I ran into was having a bad day? Not sure.

I did find something that may help - for snowglobes it says "If it appears to contain under 3.4 ounces..." then you can carry them on. If they use 'appearance' for those, then it seems likely the 'must be marked' thing isn't correct.

If you put them in your quart size bag with your other gels and liquids, they are not going to give them a second glance.

Sent a message to Universal...will post the answer here if I hear back from them. From the pics, it looks like they'd be the right size, but none of the pics I found of the back listed the ounces, which was why I couldn't figure it out from pics alone. Fingers crossed!

Got a call from Universal yesterday, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, they do not know how much liquid the elixirs contain. :worried: The lady on the phone seemed to think they would pass as carry-ons, though. I am thinking I will bring a pen to mark the ounces on the bottle and see if that gets them through.

In the meantime, does anyone have an empty elixir bottle they can fill with water and tell me how much it holds? It would be easy for me to figure out ounces if I could just measure a bottle. Those Mio squeeze bottles are supposed to be similar to the elixirs and those are 1.62 oz. I figure these elixirs must be within the 3.5 oz range?

And I read that these elixirs are $4.25 each; not bad for a fun souvenir.

I carried on two in my toiletries bag out of MCO, they didn't even earn a second glance. I did tape the lids with scotch tape from the concierge.

Awesome! Thank you so much for letting me know! I saw that putting wax or plastic wrap around them was recommended, so I'll be sure to do that. Thank you again!

I have an empty one at home that I just measured and the container I used to measure says it is under 2 ounces, I would say about 1.5 ounces but I can't be exact, I just know it was under the 2 oz mark.

I was told by the team member working at the stand that they had had reports of people NOT being able to bring them on planes. However, I decided to risk it and stuck 2 of them in my quart size plastic bag and MCO Orlando International did not give it a second glance.
