How much time are you planning on spending in Pandora?

I'm doing an hour in the afternoon before Tiffins and Nomad Lounge, and then an hour at night. Then the next day I'm doing two hours in the morning. I'm going the week after Labor Day so I'm expected less crowds, but I still want to take the time to explore every part of this land.

How long do you guys expect to be spending here?

I really only plan for us to be in Pandora for as long as it takes to do our NRJ FP and have lunch at the canteen one day and our FoP FP another. We might pop in for a very short time after ROL to see it at night but would just be a walk through to take a few photos. The pandemonium of Pandora is not something I'd want to experience for too long of a period. We'd much rather spend our time riding other rides and seeing other attractions where the crowds are lower

It's a really small area. I spent maybe an hour during the day and an hour at night. I can't see what you would do there for two hours straight.

You underestimate just how long I can spend watching waterfalls. I'm not a complex man.

But I want to explore all the little details, ride both rides a couple times, eat at both places, explore the gift shop. I'm not worried about getting bored at all.

What were your opinions of the place as a whole?

I'm that way with Animal Kingdom as a whole (minus Dinoland -shudder-). Tiffins is outside of Pandora and along the pathway there. I did eat at Satu'li Canteen that night along with Pongu Pongu. Both were really, really good.

If you're planning on riding Flight of Passage multiple times, I imagine you'll be waiting in line for a while. I did notice that the wait time wasn't as bad at night, but it was still pretty lengthy. The Na'vi river ride wasn't as bad. I walked on.

I thought that the land was very well done. It was fun to explore, and I liked how different it was from day to night. I also enjoyed the drummer that was entertaining at night. I walked around quite a bit at night to take it all in. Still though, due to how small the area is, that did not take very long, maybe an hour. This was with taking loads of pictures.

There's only one place to eat. There's a stand near the Canteen but they sell drinks and I believe a snack or two. But only one quick service.

If you want to do all that, then I'd plan for like 5-6 hours or so, including waiting in ride lines. The crowds will play a big part.

I was just in Pandora about an hour ago so about 6:30 pm. FoP was 180 min and River Journey was 75. The river journey line extended way past its queue and had a CM holding a sign where the line was at. There was a pretty lengthy line to get into Windtraders shop. For the food there was probably 30-40 people in line to order (you can mobile order though) and tables to sit at were slim.

So not only do you have to factor in wait times to ride both rides a couple times, you might have a wait to enter the store and crowds while eating. Then add in looking around and taking everything in, you'll be there for quite a bit.

I've been in Pandora 3 or 4 times now and still haven't seen the wrecked helicopter in the foilage

I can't wait to explore Pandora in more depth. I was there for 2 hours and felt it wasn't enough time. I was in the line for the gift shop for 45 minutes of that time though.

And then I went back for an hour in the evening and wished I could've spent more time. So I'm planning on 3 hours total for the day and another 2 at night.

If I'm there less, that's fine- I just want to make sure I am happy with the amount of time I get to spend.

I'm going the week after Labor Day so I'm expecting less crowds. And of course I have fast passes to ride each one at least once. But I have EMH in the morning so I'm expecting to be able to do both within that hour. And I know there's only one place to eat, but I also want to check out the snack stand for those pineapple things.

That's one of the things I'm gonna be looking for! If you find it let me know!

Not a big Avatar fan so we'll only be there long enough for the two attractions, if we even do those. I think it's great that people enjoy the scenery & atmosphere so much. I'm that was about Trader Sam's.:)

I think it is very pretty at night, but we have only had River Ride FPs, 3 times so far. We walk around, do the ride, the FP queue is really fast, get a photo pass picture or two, and then head out to see the tree of Life awaken. We do have FoP FP for our next trip, and expect to do the same, walk around and admire, get some photos, ride then watch the Tree of Life!

Since it's new with a lot of hype and interest (meaning FPs might be hard to get -- we are offsite and standby lines may be long), and since we aren't big Avatar fans, we are skipping Animal Kingdom completely on our next trip.

We spent maybe an hour there at most outside of waiting for the rides (we had FP+ for FOP and did standby for NRJ).

We did go back at night to see it and while it was neat we didn't stay long. It was so dark and crowded we had trouble seeing.

I was a bit underwhelmed honestly. I thought FoP was great and I enjoyed river journey. The land isn't large...I guess I thought it would be larger. Don't get me wrong and "flame" me...it was lush and tropical and beautiful. I just didn't find much to do besides the rides. We did walk around, but honestly, its not a lot if walking. And...I think my experience was affected by the 1,000s of people milling around. I picture Pandora as a quiet solitary place where you can be with and respect nature...this Pandora just had gobs and gobs of people. I think how much time you spend will just depend on you!

How late does Pandora stay open after the official park hours say it is closed? I have dinner plans at Tiffins and would like to check out Pandora at night. (No extra magic hours at night when I will be there).

Yeah....If you don't have a Fastpass and want to rise FOP you'll even wait 2-4 Hours so plan more time for that...
But I can see why you want to take your time - PANDORA is so full of Details , and if you want to see them take like an hour :):dogdance:

I'm not sure what you want to know. Pandora ones will close at official closing time

I think I heard that even though the rides close at park close time, the stores and walkways remain open so guests can venture out leisurely . . . I assume people in Africa might wander through Pandora on their way out. I'd like to see Pandora at night, but the park closes at 9pm every night we will be there.

My husband and I are actually will be there tomorrow morning as we have our first fast pass for Navi River Journey. Not sure how much time we will spend at Pandora, but Im sure it will be enough before it gets too crowded.
