That sounds painful...hopefully you have another trip in the works (plus us!) to help the hours pass!
2017 was a long year... two coworkers quit, first worked 7am-7pm to cover, then 3am-3pm... 800 hours of OT.

So far we've got 2 trips in April... SoCal (including DL, making it a little easier to leave DW on Wednesday...) and a Vegas weekend. I'd like to do something over Labor Day weekend, plus maybe get back to WDW in September for our 1st anniversary. Plus three family weddings... Thinking about New Orleans and Nashville for weekend trips... ;)

I'm freaking out right now after I went in search of pp lounge info I read on FT that apparently I can access the Amex Plat lounge using my pp card???? is this true? If it is,then I'm mentally kicking myself for the past 6 trips walking right past it at the airport for our early am flights with McD's in our hands......:faint::sick::sick::sick: if it's true then I'm going to make an effort to find that lounge on upcoming trip!!! bleh, it's one 'perk' I've never even used.....

No. You need to show an Amex Platinum or Centurion card (plus ID and same-day boarding pass) to access the Amex Centurion Lounge for free, and each cardholder is entitled to bring in 2 guests. The Amex Platinum also comes with PP, but PP does not get you into the Centurion Lounge.

Priority Pass question
We are flying swa into mco. Do we have to go back through security?
Flying out of mco same thing do we have to go back through security?
Trying to figure out our plans since it’s less than a month away :-)

I don't know if this is the norm since we left Christmas day but when we went past security you could go left to like gates 1-90(?) and right to gate 91+ or something like that. So we took the train to the right to the PP gate area. Once we returned on the train there was suddenly a wall blocking the path we previously took and we were forced to exit to the unsecured area and go through security again. Since I scoped this out and saw it didn't look like we needed to exit I didn't leave a ton of time to get to our gate so the PreCheck saved our butts! We did have to dump the cans of soda we had in hand. What was interesting tho was we got past security the first time with a jug of milk from MVMCP that was found only on the second pass. LOL.

OK, help...I only know southwest, and I Know them well.

Looking at socal flights still before I give up. Finally see something doable thru delta. BNA-ONT for $419 r/t or 32k points on delta. So I go to CUR to compare and can book thru there for 27,800 points. However, it says seats not assigned til check in and I don't see a way to upgrade. We are 2 adults, kids 8, 10, 2. So I can't do this flight right?

They pull the wall across when an international flight lands, so those passengers HAVE to exit. Unfortunately it means you do too if you go to the lounge... :( All timing.

Thanks we both have precheck and kids can go free. Thinking to check it out if we have time.

The AF for my Chase SW card just posted. How long before the annual points show up in my RR account? I want to cancel that card after I get the points....unless they offer to waive my fee and credit it back to my account.

That is cool.so the PP lounge is a left off the tram? I want to look for it on my next trip-how many guests does it allow in on my card?

We were Delta and our flight was one of the 70 gates. As said above it is by gate 91. We did not have to go back through security just walked out of the lounge, across the open area to our gate. (Sounds like maybe sometimes you have too?!?) I think with the PP you can get in like 4 guests. Kids under 12 don’t count though, she scanned my card, looked at boarding pass for both myself and DH, and then we signed. I had ordered a physical Priority Pass card from the Reserve site a couple months ago. One part that wasn’t super convenient was that it didn’t open until 6 am. We got there about 5 minutes to 6 and was with 2 other groups standing there waiting for it to open up. Like I said before not buying a breakfast or coffee was huge though. Every little bit helps!

Is it Basic Economy? https://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US/traveling-with-us/onboard-experience/basic-economy.html

If so, no seats are assigned, no upgrades are allowed. Seat given at checkin or assigned at gate. Very bad idea when traveling with kids.

I am not sure about Chase Pay, but I successfully used Samsung Pay at Costco yesterday.

How does Samsung Pay work? Is it like Apple Wallet where reader picks it up or is there a QR code like on Chase Pay? I would love to figure out a way to have it work with Costco but Apple wallet isn’t working. I’d use Chase Pay if it will work since I had to download it anyway for the Best Buy offer.

My kids have their global entry interviews in April at Phl. They are 8 and 11. Any one have any experience with the global entry interview for minors? What do they ask them?

I have never used Apple Wallet or Chase Pay. I pull Samsung up on my phone, activate it with my fingerprint and then place it on the reader - no QR code. It is accepted almost everywhere. I started using it to get the 5x Chase Freedom rewards, but really like it and will continue to use it after the promo is over. I also earn Samsung points (slowly) that I can redeem for gift cards eventually.

It's 59K total, not 2 - 59K, I was just showing the 5 different flights since I couldn't get all 5 flights on one screen.

The total for 5 one way flights is 59K miles,$11.20 in fees.

Did it on my phone to show all 5 flights on one screen

Oh! Could be legit. Saver awards on United to Hawaii are 22,500 one way, inter island 7K one way. Would put you at 66K, maybe there's a sale going on? Last time the sale was 20% off saver round trips to Hawaii which would bring your grand total to 57K under that old offer. (Sale from a few months ago: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2017/11/27/united-hawaii-award-sale/)
