Things on TV shows that bug you....

Breakfast in busy households. The mom is pouring freshly squeezed juice & dad is making eggs while the kids are all sitting down to breakfast. And the parents are all dressed for work and having full on deep conversations. Everyone I know spends their mornings screaming at each other to hurry up, leaving at different times, and no one is sitting down for breakfast.

Mealtimes. People take one bite of their food and then announce that they have to leave. Or say yes when offered a cup of coffee but leave before they drink it.

Shows where women make a big deal about possibly being pregnant before ever taking a pregnancy test.

Subtitles don't bother me in the slightest, but then I've watched a lot of foreign movies and anime.

I don't like it when (mostly on sitcoms) a character either enters or exits the house through the door and leaves it wide open behind them. I don't know anyone that walks into their home or leaves and leaves their door flung open.

I see you have not met my kids.. specifically the middle one!

Interior floor plans of houses that obviously don't match the depicting exterior shot.

Yes, DALLAS to be exact. We lived in Arlington for a short spell and my mother in law wanted to visit South Fork Ranch so we did.. NOTHING like the inside of the home on DALLAS... the only thing they shot in Dallas was the intro of that show, the rest was in Hollywood..

LOL, okay fair enough my kids do leave the door to the garage open a fair amount of time in the summer and fall... but they're not grown ups! You'd think the tv characters would figure it out by adulthood!

I used to religiously watch CSI. It did annoy me when they would zoom in on a photo or video and it would be perfectly clear, but something that really annoyed me... There was an episode where a bank or vault was robbed, and the robbers left the paper money straps. Took all the money out of the straps, and left a big pile of paper money straps. I thought that was stupid, but when the lead detective said that those paper straps are impossible to remove without tearing them, I was done. I've worked around cash most of my life, and those paper straps are very easy to pull off without tearing. I thought if they can't fact check that, the show is not worthy of my time. lol. But seriously, I haven't watched an episode since.
I also don't like shows that are usually accurate in their representations of real life, and then just have something completely impossible happen. The recent This is Us episode is a prime example. I won't go into specifics, but it bugged me.

Ok, this is a weird one. Empty purses. They only thing in the purse is usually the one key they need, their wallet or the one piece of paper they need :) You can tell how empty it is when they try to grab it and it just flies around because it's so light!!

And empty luggage. The actor doesn't have to put any oomph into lifting/carrying it.

Anything Sci-Fi like Star Wars, etc.

Anything Zombie related like the Walking Dead, etc.

I watch very little American T.V. these days.
