is it worth $700 to move from concierge family room to 1 bed suite?

We are sailing in oct 2018 and have a concierge family room booked now. it is just two of us going with friends also in the same room type down the hall. i was looking online and we can get the 1 bed suite, almost double the room for $690 more. Wondering if its worth paying more for it or stay where we are. we have done the concierge once before and it was great, but not in a 1 bedroom, but then again that adds to the overall cost. our room now is about $3400, and the 1 bed is $4098. It is for the 3 night cruise, we are doing 2 days at wdw before the cruise and then 7 nights after the cruise at wdw for wine and dine and marathon weekend.

Is it worth $230 a night for you? Just to have more space? How many people are in your room?

If it’s just 2 people on a 3 night cruise I wouldn’t do it.

Of course you should do it. It's just money and you don't want your friends to have a better room than you, do you? $4100 doesn't seem like a lot for a 3-day cruise for 2 people. I say go for it!

I would do it. You can have the full dinner menu delivered as room service in a 1 bedroom. As someone who doesn’t love the hustle and bustle of the dining rooms, I appreciate the ability to dine in room.

It’s probably the least expensive upgrade to a 1 BR you’ll ever see. If the money doesn’t bother you, enjoy the luxury!

My upcoming 14-night Panama Canal cruise for 2 is just under $4,000 (inside cabin booked on day 2), and that will be my most expensive cruise so far. It's a lot of money to me for 3 days.

I'm sure it is, but I bet it's not a lot of money for the OP, and he/she posed the question.

For a couple? No, I don't think it's worth it. We've stayed in one as a family of 3 and it was nice for DS to have his own space and to have the bigger bathroom (and the second small bathroom), but as a couple, I don't think you will need it. Especially since you will never have to convert the couch in the Cat V into a bed. I would save the money.

Not for a 3 night cruise. I'd spend the money on something else - maybe upgrade your hotel before Disney or splurge on a few special meals or experiences. On a 3 day cruise, there's so much you'll want to do - unless you plan on never leaving your cabin, I don't think the extra space is going to make that much of a difference.

How much time do you plan to spend in your room? Do you want to host your friends in your room? On a 3 night cruise if you have tons of activities already planned/things you want to do then will the hours you spend in the room be worth the cost? It is a pretty cheap upgrade but if you won't use the benefits of the upgrade (like dining in your room)... you can buy a Disney art print for your home for $670.00 (or a lot of mickey bars and dole whips in WDW!)
