I know I missed some updates here................and everywhere lol. So I read your CRT update and I'm going to try (again) to be better!
Looks like everyone had fun
Hi Ariane! I missed you!!
I agree. Our one and only meal here was breakfast back in 2015, I guilted the boys into eating here so I could experience eating in the castle lol. The food was fine like you said but absolutely nothing special and certainly not worth the $200 or so that we paid. I'm fine not going there again until I have a granddaughter! We've been to Akershus twice, last time was 2014 though, however I preferred both our visits and meals there to CRT.
Haha you have such good sons!! It was definitely one of those experience is better than the food places but the looks on the kids faces made it worth it.
I'm glad to hear that your father is doing better. Hopefully that is still the case.
Thank you and yes, he is doing much better now!!
It looked like a nice meal at CRT. You got some cute princess shots, and the food does actually look like it was pretty good!
It was decent for the price we paid but we all know the main draw is the characters!! If they change their menu though to something more interesting I wouldn't mind trying it again. Although Steve is reluctant to go back again, LOL.
So glad to hear this Su-Lynn. I hope he continues to improve.
Thanks Kari!!
I don't normally comment on these types of things, but I gotta say that Cindy might be just about the worst one I've ever seen. I'm not getting her at all.
Hahaha, she does look out of place a bit...she doesn't really have the cinderella "look" but nothing is as bad as the Elsa I had one year...now she was just really bad...I'll have to find the picture and show you. This was still when they were meeting at Princess Fairy Tale Hall.
I'm surprised they had options that were more on the "adventurous" side. I was expected fried mozzarella instead of some delicious looking charcuterie.
I'd eat fried "mutz" any day LOL!! The charcuterie was pretty good, not a huge portion but enough for one person.
I gotta say Ariel is a total ringer for Megan Trainor!
Yes she is! She was so cute!
Aside from the overcooked pasta, this looks and sounds surprisingly good. We've never done CRT, largely because if I'm gonna pay that much to eat I'm going to be at a signature restaurant with actual signature food, but their quality of food offerings seems much higher than I'd expect.
i would still say skip it unless Casey really really wants it. Has she grown out of the princess phase yet?
So glad your dad is doing better. I know how hard it is when loved ones have medical scares will keep praying for you all.
Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers, right now he is doing much better he had one tube removed from his kidney and the other tube they put a stopper on it in case it has to be used again. but no bags of fluids to carry around which is great. Fingers crossed everything will still be ok at the next check up.
I love the pictures of all the girls with princesses what a great way to spend your birthday. Lucky girls to have such a great aunt to plan this special trip for them.
I love your shirt!! Cinderella is my favorite. Have never seen that one.
Look forward reading rest of your report.
Haha yes the girls are SOOOOOOO Lucky to have this SPECIAL Aunt plan their trip for them, hahahaha.
I got my shirt from Hot Topic. It was very comfortable in the heat!
Caught up over here again as well. Love reading about the big family adventure!
Hi Dugette!!! Great seeing you back on the DIS!!!
I'm so glad to hear your dad is doing better. One day at a time.
Thank you! And yes that is exactly how we have to take it now...one day at a time...
Wow, the pictures at CRT are so cute! Love all the kids with the princesses. That's funny that the adults were "borrowing" kids so they could be in photos.
Haha anything for the picture right?? It was more so that the kids ran up to the princess and then the adults just ran in back of them to take the shot.because that's probably be the easiest and quickest way to get those shots!
I have never dined at CRT. With boys, it has never been a priority with us. Probably never will be unless we are someday blessed with granddaughters. In the future...
I would skip it. With a bunch of older boys it won't be enjoyable for them
Hope you are blessed with many granddaughters though.
Yay for your dad! Sounds like he is doing much much better.
Thank you indeed he is much better!
CRT looked fun. We had a chance to go over New years week (a reservation for early evening popped up randomly for day of when I was looking for an ADR) - surprisingly it was my DH who asked about it and wanted to go to eat in the castle LOL. We didn't though, as I just couldn't pull the trigger for the price. I have to reign him in somehow. He always wants a "budget" for Disney, which I provide - a realistic one too- and then he goes hog wild! For instance- we did the Ghost portraits New years eve eve at Memento Mori complete with frames. But they go along with my other HM things. We ended up splurging at HBD one night instead.
Yeah I wouldn't have gone. If you want a place where you want to meet princesses, have a bit of a spectacle and decent food for a lot of money...then that could be your thing.
August seems like it was ages ago, maybe because it has been cold again here-miss the August heat!
I know!!!! There's 12 inches of snow outside as I type this and it's just insane SIGH. I want it to be summer already!!
