Here now - 3/24-3/30 - “low” crowds?

The weather is gorgeous and the Spring Break crowds are....low(ish)?

We spent sunup (EMM) to park close at MK yesterday and I kept asking my DH where all the people are. I’d expected a 9 or even 10 crowd level based on calendars but it was WAY more
packed when I was here over Veteran’s Day weekend.

We did the dessert garden terrace dessert party, and when they were walking us over to the garden the cast member even said, “huh. This is weird, normally I can barely move through here and this is easy!” Don’t get me wrong - still a probably 7 level crowd. But it was easy to maneuver and get from point to point in the Park.

Also: EMM is worth every. single. penny and more. We rode 7DMT 7 times and had a blast with posing for the photos. Hearing the girls shriek “Again!!” as soon as we finished was priceless. They were in heaven. We walked BRISKLY to Space the second the park cannon boomed and were among the first 20 into the line. Not having to do a FP for 7DMT, Peter Pan, or Space? Amazing.

Port Orleans Riverside royal rooms are A+. It’s so quiet and peaceful here!

Spring break was early in our area. The kids are already back in school.

Many districts have Spring Break in mid-March regardless of Easter. Many districts have Spring Break the week before or after Easter.

When Easter is in April the Spring Break crowds are spread out over 4 or 5 weeks and they’re not really 9/10 crowds.

But when Easter is in mid March..... watch out!

I’d guess the opposite. With an early Easter, I’d bet most public school districts have the week after Easter as their break.

In MA, wer’re always the third week of April, we’ll be there then. They're keeping 9am (not 8am) MK & AK openings, so I’m hoping this means they anticipate lower (ish) crowds our week.

Was the Carrousel, Small World, or Tea Cups Open for your EMM?

But when Easter is in mid March..... watch out!

^this!! Next year Easter is late April, it will be even more spread out. At DL that tends to make “spring break” season last longer but it is more consistently moderate crowds for 2
Months instead of crazy insane crowds for 2 weeks like it is when Easter is in March.

That sounds amazing! Also, did you ride anything else besides Space after EMM? My plan is to hit Space and Speedway then make it back in time for breakfast.

We will be there on a Thursday so I hope it stays this way!! I’m anticipating it to be crowded for our trip 3/29 - 4/6 but would love to be pleasantly surprised.

My DD and I were there last week Monday-Thursday. We said same thing multiple times! We hopped to DHS one night around 8pm ish and it was deserted!!! Like walk ons for everything but TSMM. Epcot had some busy spots around WS but we easily got FP for everything (to avoid even a 20 minutes wait lol) and same thing with MK and AK. Looking back at TP crowd predictions they lowered the crowd levels from 6-8 to 3-5 nearly every day. Guess most are waiting for Easter week?

I'm a little worried this is the calm before the storm... we are there the week after Easter. But, I was able to easily book FP's and ADR's, and able to modify several as well too. We shall see. Preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. It's also a blackout week this week and rates are pretty high. Wonder if that helps at all?

Spring breaks are nothing like any other break. They are just all over the place, some a week here, others a week there.
I'd expect to see the crowds ramp up come Good Friday. That's when another round of Spring Breaks begin (ours starts then).

I'll be there tomorrow so no doubt I'll bring the level 10++++ crowds with me - hahaha! It's a short trip - Tues to Friday. My son's spring break is this week but many private schools around here and public schools in other counties near me have it the week after Easter. My guess too is the crowds will steadily build toward the Easter weekend.

Wait times at the MK at this very moment (1PM on a Monday) don’t look all that low to me (they actually look pretty stout!), so hopefully you aren’t there today!

My friend is in MK right now "it's literally so crowded we cannot move" and it took her 2 hours to get in to MK (she was coming from offsite and she may be exaggerating, but that space mountain wait time is bonkers)
