Cutting the cake

Katherine clearly was going to try every last part of the cake.

Victoria was kind enough to re-sculpt one of the tiki torches into a coconut... nobody was biting though.

While we were enjoying the rest of the cake and conversing, the kids were all playing in the steam shower grotto. They may have gotten a bit wet.

Here's a video of the grotto before the kids got to it:

You sure know how to celebrate in style! Now I know what to ask for for my 50th! Thanks for sharing, and can’t wait to see more!

Matt, without revealing exactly how much you paid, can you share a ballpark estimate for that suite? Just curious... might have to save and spend the next 10 year’s convincing my hubby that we need to do that for my 50th!

Thanks! It was definitely one to remember.

AH-MAZING! Thanks for sharing your birthday fun with us!:cake::bday:
Thanks for the well wishes. Loved the time at DLR celebrating all around.

Honestly, it was NOT a wise decision to spend what I did. The fact I don't really have debt outside of quickly diminishing mortgages and bring home a healthy paycheck helped justify it, but it went against every fiber of my being to spend what I did on a single night in a hotel room. What makes me scratch my head more is that it is booked EVERY DAY. No early check-in or late check-out because somebody is always occupying it. I wonder who can throw that kind of $ around, because it was painful saying yes to the booking agent.

I was going to ask, too, but I fear that when I figure out how much money I'd need to save, the prices would double by the time I saved enough for the current going rate.

Matt, can also PM the cost to me? That would be one heck of a party.

I was also wondering what it cost but didn't want to know - this is enough to let me know I DON'T want to know! So glad you got to enjoy it, looks absolutely amazing. The photos make it look almost overwhelming - is it like that in the flesh or does it all work well?

It came up at the Girlscout family camp out last weekend. I was embarrassed to say the cost. I worked my way through college on my own... the kids can too right?

The videos made me feel like I was there. Hopefully, that will be good enough for me, lol. Although, I am finding that I really want to see the pirate suite now. It's not even in my realm of possibility right now, but I am open to things changing sometime.

I think you made a good choice to stay there. Over the course of our lifetimes, we waste a lot of money on things that we maybe don't end up using or on food we throw away and we don't even remember any of it. You won't forget this!

I've seen pictures/video of the Pirates suite, and it wasn't anything close to the Adventureland Suite in my opinion. Of all the suites, the Adventureland is the best in my opinion.

We certainly made some memories this trip. Amy and I with an AMAZING Chef's counter the first night, Club 33 with Amy, Katherine, Lindsey, and I the second night, the Adventureland Suite and SH55 for Amy and I the fourth night. It was a pretty amazing trip.

Lovely pictures and great video! Still following along, although I definitely understand about the time constraints. It's difficult to have enough time to get on here and just look at others TRs and posts, I can't even imagine actually writing a detailed TR! Nevertheless, always enjoy reading your posts and love seeing the vibrant photography of the parks. Thanks for sharing with us!

What is the max for the room occupancy?
