I’m personally one of those who doesn’t like doing group based things with strangers

Yeah, that's a minus for me too. Also, those people who've done it a bunch of times are going to be tempted to deliberately mess up just for a different experience, which may be highly detrimental to the enjoyment of a once-only visitor. Kinda like catching a blockbuster movie near the end of its run. Usually some other theater-goers will manage to detract from the experience because they've already seen the movie twice.

Based on the construction images the legs are made of steel fastened to the foundation so I don’t believe the legs will even move.

well, admittedly more hopeful than realistic - that would definitely be the maximum movement I could see

or people that have done it a bunch and built up a high level of status for the Land could get upset if some "newb" messes things up - though, as we've discussed in the past, probably have to be ways for them to not penalize one player if another messes up

I think it would be sweet just if the at-at moves it's head, like it's getting ready to Target you.

I still hope the ewok village at star tours gets to stay. Being a little kid who loves star wars... Turning the corner and seeing that life size at at was just incredible and I still remember it.

I do wonder how much of the brunt of star wars crowds DL will take, being the first to open.

That's kind of unfortunate too since wdw is better set up to handle crowds. I'm picturing the DL parking being at capacity one hour after the park opens.

it is going to be NUTS at Disneyland - even just parking and people in the general area, like you said, the infrastructure isn't there for the crowds this might bring.

I still think it will be crazy at WDW - I am sure a lot of people that normally go to WDW are waiting for this to open as well ... and some giant fans probably will want to go to both for the openings. But definitely not as bad as if WDW's was the only one

Oh agreed, I think wdw will have Harry Potter type opening day crowds.

But poor DL...

I'll put it in spoilers but there is a connection to this land in the new Solo movie

when L3 is walking down to the Millennium Falcon she tells Lando that he couldn't navigate to the Black Spire Outpost without her
Yep, they said while this land/planet is new to us it’s not new to the characters we know.

I thought I remembered hearing rumors that Hondo would be key to the plot of the Falcon simulator ... Based on the Bakkar Spire Spaceport card I guess that confirms the ride crew are being recruited for a mission by Hondo?

Hondo would be a good one. Then they could just animate the pre-ride show.

I don't care about flying the Falcon - should I put that on a t-shirt when we go? Maybe we will be bumped further up the line! :rotfl:

I'll let you cut up to my group :)

Aren't they in the midst of building another parking garage???

That is true - but parking was often tough as is, and was thinking even more just the roads to get to the area and stuff like that ... it isn't like WDW where they have tons of their own land and large roads to get in and out, etc.

I had some time to think about the Imperial Walkers and hoping someone can help clarify. It is my understanding that the Walkers are on a Star Destroyer that you are led on a journey on Battle Escape. Flashback to Hoth, I never understood how the Walkers got there. Was there a massive transport ship that dropped them off? So, I am struggling with AT-ATs on a Star Destroyer from a scale/transport viewpoint.

The Walkers were then "upgraded" to AT-M6 with the First Order, but maybe there were AT-ATs that were still being used. So, in Battle Escape, are we on Star Destroyer from the First Order, but has older AT-ATs from the Galactic Empire?

To your last point, there are AT-ATs in The Last Jedi as well that the First Order is using - you can see them mixed in with the AT-M6s:

As to your first question, you also see AT AT on Snokes flagship and you can see them in what appears to be transport ships that would bring them down to the surface (green and red outlines on the right show the transport ship)

Yes, there are Y-85 Titan dropships that are aboard large warships. They can carry up to 4 AT-ATs. The First Order had AT-M6 but also continued to use AT-ATs - AT-ATs can be seen along the AT-M6s in the Battle of Crait.

So on Battle Escape, we are seeing older AT-ATs rather than the larger, and arguable more menacing, AT-M6. I wonder if this was done to appeal to a wider recognition across our fan base?

Thanks for the pics/clarification.
