Actually DH is the one that has the CIP right now. He'll have to refer me! So if we reach the $5000 before 3 months can he refer me early?
I’ll need to update my spreadsheet.

Next statement they should show upAwesome! That's good to know! We will be able to get points way faster than I thought! Do the UR go on right after reaching the $5000 MSR?
Hey- Nov 6-12 here!! Hoping to thread a (mostly) post-hurricane season with the end of food and wine trip. Worked out nice for us last year, and there were indeed many people from Jersey! We’ll be there Nov 5-10th. Jersey week.

I think we would still get the MSR without our mortgage, but it definitely helps and I like seeing the extra bonus points from it!Just be aware that Plastiq does restrict mortgage payments using Visa, so although your payments are going through now, Plastiq may catch future payments and cancel then. A few members here had their mortgage payments stopped in the last few weeks. But it’s great as long as it lasts. Fingers crossed it’s a long ride.
If you hit the $5k MSR about a week before the close of statement, there should be enough time that the bonus points will post when that statement posts. If you meet the MSR just a few days before the close of statement, the bonus points may not post until the next statement.
Nothing has been announced yet regarding early booking. This thread on the DIS will have it if it shows up https://www.disboards.com/threads/2...stival-august-30-to-november-12-2018.3669943/ and another great source is the Disney Food Blog.Off topic question is there a registration date for Dvc or ap before June 14th? Also anyone know if kids can do the mix it make it class?
To relate this back to the thread I was able to get our new dates and cancel the original booking through ur. How long does it take for ur to credit back to your account from canceling a Disney vacation?
Thanks yeah I get the food blog emails hoping there’s an early registration. We are going during break so not to pull them from school this trip.Nothing has been announced yet regarding early booking. If you can meet the spend without your Mortage I would keep the Mortage as is so not to chance it. Here’s hoping it continues to work for you.I think we would still get the MSR without our mortgage, but it definitely helps and I like seeing the extra bonus points from it!
We are still undecided about getting the CSR.

I realized I've got a long gap in my plan between my CIP app (planning to do take #2 in 13 days, expecting to be approved) and the SW apps in Dec. Also, my understanding is that I'll be at 5/24 after the CSR/CSP and can't apply for any more Chase cards. Should I be mixing the CIC in there for the points and to squeeze in one more card while under <5/24? In other words, would it be too risky for me to do CIP now, CIC in Sept., SW Biz & personal in Dec, and then the CSR/CSP in Mar. 2019?
Thanks @Albort So in the first instance with 100K JL miles----since JL is in Oneworld with AA, would one transfer AA miles to JL (in addition to being able to use SPG points)? And in the second instance with 120K ANA miles, would one use UA miles because of the Star Alliance (plus amex MR and SPG)? Or do I have it wrong?
SO Lowes OK,just verifying? (Hilton Biz) I don't want to mess this up
Did they have Target? I *think* you can still buy Disney GCs with Target GCs in store. An extra step though which isn’t fun.Went to Lowes today to get some Amazon and Disney GCs with the Amex promo...PLENTY of Amazon but only 4 $25 Disney...NOT cool. I needed lots more than that. So, to the other churner in my area, save some for me, OK!?! There is not another Lowes within 30 mins.

Bummer, sounds like they’ve really been cleaned out! Maybe they’ll restock before your trip.I think you can too. I just have the 10% back at Lowes promo so I told each of my kids that I would use their cash they have been saving to go buy them Disney GC's to use on our trip and they would save 10%. Unfortunately, I was only able to do that for two kids lol. Will have to just buy the rest at our Kroger-chain store.
ETA: I get what you are saying...and no, weird, I did not see any Target. I was also looking for McD's...to treat my boys...no McD's either!!

Getting 6 cards in 10 months would be pushing the envelope (and risking shutdown in my opinion). If you are playing it safe you want to stick with 4. If you are willing to take a small risk maybe 5. I’d shy away from 6 though. Do you currently have a mortgage showing on your credit report (as that could help you look safer as it relates to shutdown).Help! I'm a newbie second-guessing my whole CC timeline! (I posted about this yesterday but think it got lost in the mad dash past 1600 discussion pages! Also, some stuff has changed.)
Originally, my big Orlando birthday trip was about two years out, and in that time I was planning to sign up for the CIP/SWBiz/SW Premier, take a break to buy a condo in spring 2019, then do the CSR/CSP double dip, and then refer my DH to all the same cards to double the amount of rewards. Or, as @SouthFayetteFan (I think?) suggested, alternate referring each other for different cards to space out apps and still earn lots of points in a shorter amount of time.
Well, now we aren't buying the condo for another year at least, and we're considering splitting our vacation into two separate, shorter trips in fall 2019 and fall 2020, AND as of last night my DH is totally spooked and will not even entertain the discussion of me referring him for my cards. I'm considering myself lucky he's agreed to sign up for a CFU! So Player 2 is out, at least for a year, and now I'm wondering how to maximize my <5/24 slots while avoiding a shutdown.
