DP on the PNC checking bonus with no state restriction. My state usually isn't included.

5/23 opened PNC Virtual Wallet with Performance Select checking, funded with $2000 from CSR
5/25 $2,000 posted
5/30 pushed $5,000 from PayPal
5/31 $5,000 posted as direct deposit
6/06 Made the last of required 10 debit transactions (amazon reloads)
6/22 Received $300 bonus

I will soon downgrade to regular Virtual Wallet and keep $500 to remain fee free for the remainder of the six months.
:cool1::cool1::cool1:

(apparently 1 :cool1: = $100 ;) )

I want to add DH as an AU on my Freedom card. Between the two of us we should be able to max out the gas station bonus for July-Sept. The only thing is I don't want it to count against his 5/24.

What are my options?

I am considering putting it in my 15 year old son's name so we have a card for him should he ever need it but having my DH keep it in his wallet to use for gas.

What you said will work. I've never had anyone ask me about the card I'm using, even when I've used DH's card without him being there.

Your other option is to call Chase and let them know your card has been, ahem, "damaged" and you'd like a new one. My dog actually did chew my CF about a month after I got it and I called Chase and requested a new one. It comes with the same number and everything.

I agree with @DisneyMandC. Order a "replacement card" for the Freedom from your Chase account. (Don't report the card lost or stolen!) Your current Freedom card will continue to work, and you've now got a duplicate that you can hand to DH. Since the Freedom will be used at gas stations, DH will likely just pay at the pump and never have to show or sign for the card with a cashier. And the replacement card doesn't involve adding anyone as an AU.

If you have your Alamo confirmation number, you can do online checkin, enter the 2nd driver info, and skip the counter completely. I book my Alamo rentals through Costco and always do online checkin and add my additional driver at that time.
Excellent to know!! I had an awful time figuring out if that was even still a benefit with Alamo and we have a rental in FL we can really use a second driver in.

A few updates. I got my points back from my cancelled Disneyland hotel reservation. I transferred them over to the CSR and will rebook, but I’m waiting for the discounts to be released. A rep called me Friday saying there was nothing they can do and it could take 60 days. I said ok I’ll fill out a report with the CFPB and she said she wouldn’t want me to do that and would see if she could expediate it. My call got disconnected because I lost service, but I’m assuming it was quick because I mentioned the CFPB.
...It was a business card, but I hope i can still do a charge back.
That Chase/Disney experience was ridiculous!! Gah! I’m mad!! Very glad you finally got your points!

Fwiw I’ve successfully filed disputes on a BGR for my work.

Any of you Californians want to chime in on my itinerary? I have 2 weeks and plan to drive down the coast in January. I assume route 1 has been fixed or will be fixed by then?? Guess I need to check that. The plan:

Fly into SFO - arrive late and stay at airport hotel
Spend 3 nights in Monterey at Intercontinental on points (we like to hike - lots of hiking around here it seems)
On to Santa Ynez valley/Santa Barbara for 4 nights
Then where??? - I have 3-4 nights to play with here - Joshua tree?? Catalina Island??
Ideally, we'd like to end the trip at Disneyland for 3 nights before flying home

I was initially thinking we'd spend a couple nights in L.A. doing the touristy thing, but really we mostly want to be outside. Not sure we'd be thrilled with L.A. Any thoughts/suggestions?
Don’t pick up the rental car until you leave SF, parking is expensive!!

Catalina makes a nice day trip.

Edit to remove SD reference :)

NCL is currently offering dollar deposits. I want to book exactly what I want with NCL direct then transfer to Chase and make final payment with UR when it comes time. Has anyone had luck doing it this way?
NCL dollar deposits, Carnival’s lowered guidance, Disneyland’s unheard of summer discounts, Disney’s pushing forward of F&W bookings and the Disneyland Halloween Party ticket sales... anyone else hoping for some sweet travel deals later this year?...

I chose January because Disney isn't crowded then (touring plans shows 4/5 on the crowd calendar, which isn't bad) and the points required at the Grand Californian are low. But if you think we'd have crummy weather, then I'd rather change the dates and not worry about Disney, which really isn't the focus of this trip. We've been to San Diego already. As much as I loved it, we can skip it on this trip. I suppose I could add a few nights in San Francisco on the front end - DH has been but I haven't. We're planning to come back in late August 2019 (hopefully) to visit Yosemite and to do some Sierra Nevada hiking (that is, IF we can get lodging at the high sierra camps - its a lottery system). My mother has been out multiple times and RAVES about Monterey, Carmel, and Pacific Grove. The flowers in her pics are gorgeous!
Welp, I answered before I read this! I would go ahead and do at least a full day in SF, poke around there and enjoy some of the suggestions in this thread. It’s a neat city :)

...rain? whats rain? - a SoCal person. :P
Ugh! The rest of the world seems to call it “misting”. Crazy, any water falling from the sky is obviously RAIN and requires an umbrella. If it continues for over 2 minutes it’s basically a downpour. Throw in wind and it’s obviosuly practically a hurricane. Personally I start melting when any water falls from the sky- it’s just not natural!

*Not CC Related* Just closed up a chapter from my life that was almost 20 years in the making...locked the door on Toys R Us/Babies R Us for the last time. It was like loosing family with how close we all were. On to the next chapter!
Oh wow. Good luck with your next chapter though!!!

:rotfl:So, you know we just spent 11 days in Utah, Nevada and California (mostly CA) and it did not rain ever. At all! So we wondered back and forth...does it ever rain here? Do these people know rain?? On one of our later park days (Fri or Sat), we were in the park and were amazed that it was 'misting', and that is exactly what we called it. But it didn't last long enough to be a 'downpour' (as you call it, lol). It was super quick and then ended. Is that the extent of your 'rain'?? That is just crazy if y'all don't get rain!! Why no rain

Did anyone else open a Memory Bank account for the bonus? I funded it right before we left but never had a chance to get my 3 $200 transfers sent. I sat down to do it tonight and cannot find the routing number or full account number to save my life! What the heck!?? Anyone know?

ETA: I found the acct number but don't I need a routing number too? I want to transfer from Ally.

I don’t have my computer in front of me but I’m thinking the account number was given on the account opening confirmation page. If the routing number isn’t there you should be able to find it via Google or search the comments on the DoC page for the bonus for “routing”. Btw, it’s routing number will pop up under the name of its parent bank so don’t worry at that.

I googled and found one but Ally says it's 'not supported'. Whatever that means! Will check DoC's page. Thanks :)

ETA: the one posted in comments on DoC's page is same as one I found googling but this is the error message I get from Ally:
The routing number is invalid or not supported. Please check the ABA/routing number you have entered or enter a different ABA/routing number.

ETA2: Chase recognized the routing #/account # so waiting to verify the account with them.

I hope this next chapter is as equally satisfying as it appears this last chapter was (so hard to leave good friends/co-workers!!).

And on a side note, what a cutie in your avatar! Is that your dd?

The lounge opens at 5 a.m. but I think it will be too tight for you. You might be able to pop in, grab some snacks for the flight and run but even then I doubt. The security across terminals thing is a PITA - if it were me, I wouldn't feel comfortable pushing it.

Thanks. It was a lot busier than I expected and we didn’t find out till we printed the kids boarding passes that DD17 did not have precheck. She has had it every other flight we have taken including last week on way here. So we did not even attempt it.
