I love credit cards so much!

It’s an expensive way to meet MSR on an Amex anyway, with a 3% fee that’s not offset except by the welcome bonus windfall.

Agreed. I just hate these stupid 5k Amex MSRs :crazy2:

I came over here from the Disney Gift Card Deals thread, so buying Disney GCs at a discount has always been a part of our Disney vacation savings strategy.

Me too. Our 2017 trip was paid entirely in discounted gift cards. But it sure would've been easier on me this go round if I could've just booked at 1.5 :sad2:

I would drive my bank crazy if they knew what I did. MY sales strategy is honesty always no matter what. So anytime we release some memo or new "feature" I tell my customers like it is. I get A LOT of sales from being the only honest banker in town, lol. It works for me, but boy do I HATE marketing speak...it's just something that makes my skin crawl - whether it's Disney, or Chase, or Sears, or whoever!!
What does Sears really have left besides their marketing speak at this point? ;)

@kmc8826 - did you see that the new Priority Pass restaurant at SLC has been removed? https://www.doctorofcredit.com/prio...ption-to-salt-lake-international-airport-slc/
I DM'd PP on Twitter about this and they said "Unfortunately, we've temporarily suspended access for our members in SLC until further notice. As soon as we resume operations, we'll keep our members updated..." I hope they didn't burn their bridge in SLC and scare off other places that might participate if the original one doesn't come back.

Slightly :offtopic:, but booking a hotel and going through Ebates, do you have to prepay to get credit? I hate prepaying but I guess I might to get 10% back. It is a group rate so prepaying this time will not be any cheaper.

I’ve booked a room directly with Hilton going through Ebates. I didn’t have to prepay; paid at the hotel and the cash back credited sometime after our stay. Always read the fine print on the Ebates page for that merchant. For example, some airlines that are on Ebates have a timeframe by which you need to complete travel, so booking 11 months out won’t get you anything back. And for hotels, you might get different cash back rates for different status levels. Check for these kinds of terms for your hotel.

So AMEX offers...I added one for Boxed.com to our new BCP card like an hour ago. Am I good to order from Boxed now...or should I wait a day to be safe, lol. (Yes I know that I sound like a newbie, but I rarely use AMEX offers...haha)

I don't recall any DPs of people not being able to use their Amex offers the day they add them.

Is it showing on Amex or did it already move to your Marriott/SPG account?

It is showing on Amex and has been posted to my Marriott account. I had 3095 points pending. It went to 103095, and the points show in my Marriott account and still show on Amex. In my activity the 100K show as being posted 9/24, but the remaining 3095 points haven't been transferred yet.
