Yes........
I was kidding.
Death is the last thing all of us encounter while in these mortal shells and there's no reason to fear the inevitable.
Our six year old Granddaughter was confronted with those facts last month when her Abuelito, (Her Puerto Rican Grandfather) passed away just a few hours after they visited him.
She wasn't the least bit happy but she came to realize that death is normal and that we need to remember our loved ones who've gone before us.

Yours is a more poignant and personal summary of what I typed and then deleted when I realized you were kidding. I’m sorry your granddaughter had to deal with that so soon but I love the sentiment of your post and think it captures the spirit of Coco perfectly! Now I’m sorry, I have to get back to making shoes since my grandma won’t let me play guitar.

One of the important things that occurred at that last meeting with Julio was that he got to set eyes on his one year old Grandson for the first, and last, time.
The baby will not remember that meeting but we have pictures of the occasion to show him in the future so that he knows who his Abuelito Julio was.

We are booked in a tower room in July (Can't wait!)

Looking at the map, it appears that the tower has pretty close access to a walkway that cuts across to the main pool area and it seems to be a short walk.

Can anyone verify if this is true or just wishful thinking on my part?

Yes, it will be a very short walk to the Digsite pool area.

Does club level have its own lounge like club level at deluxe resorts? Is it worth staying club level at Coronado? What extras does club level have? is it all on one floor and the same floor as the lounge? Are the water view rooms really worth the extra for the view? Is it worth the extra for a junior suite for a family of 2 adults and 1 child? Do all rooms have balconies? Is this an interior corridor hotel?

The official details of the club level have not been released yet. I expect it will be similar to deluxe CL and probably a separate floor. Water view will give you a view of the interior of the resort. The lagoon, the Digsite pyramid, Three Bridges restaurant, all the other buildings, etc. This would be a very scenic view. However the non waterview rooms will give a good view of the DHS and EPCOT fireworks from the higher floors.

I wouldn't pay for the junior suite, but that's just my opinion. There are no balconies at CSR. If you stay in the tower it is interior corridor hotel. The rest of the resort is exterior corridors.

Do we have an updated resort map on this thread? The one on the first page does not show the new tower.

Thanks so much. I will mention it, lol.
I would also call and add a note to your reservation that you are celebrating your birthday. It comes up in the different Disney systems and CMs will see it even when you tap your MB for FP+. Its always nice to hear happy birthday and you never know, you may get some pixie dust! :tinker:

Happy birthday and have a great time!

Thanks so much. So, I should call and tell them to add celebrating birthday as a note on my reservation?

Yup! That should do it. Can’t hurt to have it there.

Keep me posted what you get for your birthday please. I will arrive in September on my birthday. I will be staying in the towers.
Sadly, a pin isn’t even automatically guaranteed. I’ve had birthday noted on my reservation and checked-in and been told my room number and then I ask can I have a birthday pin? It can be hit or miss. And then sometimes I’ve come back to a note or treat in the room. YMMV. It all depends on the resort, CM, and time of day.

Cafe Rix. You should be able to use a snack credit for a pastry/donut/bagel.

I'm looking for snack options on DDP for breakfast too. We've used snacks for oatmeal; and sausage gravy/biscuits in the past at other resorts, and wondered if anyone could tell me if these items are still offered as snacks at any of the counter service options at Coronado? Heading there for the first time soon :-)!!!!! Have tried to dig around and find the snack options at this resort, but am not finding much information. Anyone there now, or been there lately who can answer this?

Got a happy birthday pin. Also, we were upgraded from a standard view to junior suite!
