Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge

It's in your messages - the little alert at the top of the page. (that's when you're signed in on your Dashboard - so really top of your Dashboard, not page)
Got it. Of course, they're not going to splash it on the front page of the members' site. That wouldn't look inviting.

Are those overwater bungalows in the bottom left hand corner? Like the ones over at PVB?

LAX

Wouldn't it be "fun" if Disney tries to pull another "PVB" in terms of point heavy bungalows?. They sort of did already with the cabins at CCV so why not. As long as someone is willing to pay, Disney will continue to build whatever gives them the best profit.

The flip side of Disney getting profit is an exceptional experience for guests. I absolutely loved staying in a Cascade Cabin, as did our guests.
I enjoyed getting to do a complete walk through of 8019 a week before they all opened, and it cost me 25 points just to step inside. ;)

Please let this be a big fat joke. :sad2:

If they are going to do this yet again I hope They at least make them lock offs of some sort. Like a studio and a one bedroom, or three studios that can be combined. They look really long and narrow, I don’t think it’s completely out of the realm of possibility :rolleyes1

I think it looks just like the architecture used for Riviera for the most part.
What will the travel situation be like from LL? Just buses or will a boat be able to get from LL to MK?
Thank you.

It appears to have a boat dock in that photo (actually looks like it is separate from the FW launch too). So I would assume (and think it is safe) that this resort would have a boat launch to MK since WL and FW each do. Hopefully they get their own pair of boats and don't borrow from WL or FW that would be a downgrade for these two resorts.

Maybe for cash, but from what I have read here, most bungalows are not in demand for point reservations. How many people actually buy enough points to book a week in a bungalow or cabin?

Could those overwater units be houseboats?

I have a vague memory of tee-pee rumors for some DVC, somewhere.... Perhaps that's turning out to be true.

From DVD point of view bungalows and cabin have been a huge success. They allowed them to sell million of points they couldn't have with a small project like the hotel conversion at CCV. And the also rent them for pure profit for cash since most of them go into breakage.
Why should they stop to build them? The fact that members do not book them doesn't bother DVD at all.
The problem is for members and for DVCMC who should balance demand, hence the aborted reallocation that increased the other room types.
The only thing that could stop DVD is if members complain about them so much that word of mouth affects sales. CCV is already gaining a bad reputation for availability, will the complaints affect DVD enough to stop them? I don't think so. So be ready to welcome over the water rehab pods.

If foreclosures increase at CCV, then they may take notice.

Could those A-frame structures on the right side of the drawing be DVC lodges, similar to the cabins and bungalows? It’s kind of hard to get any detailed look from the picture.

They should build 2 or 3 for DVC and a bunch on the cash side. Only makes sense.
