I have been buying Sam's club Disney Gift Cards for the past few months paying down our upcoming August trip. I've been choosing the $50 3-packs ($150 total) 5 at a time because it's the best percentage deal as far as I can tell (around 4.5%). About 2 weeks ago the $50 3-packs went out of stock and have not returned yet. Now I notice the second best discount, the $25 3-pack ($75 total) are also out of stock and dot seem to be returning. All that is left are the $500 gift cards which are the "worst discount" at about 3%.

Has anyone noticed this happening before (Them going in and out of stock)?

I don't know if Im just being paranoid or Sams club is slowly removing the discounted gift cards.

I tweeted at Sam's earlier this week to ask. They said the cards aren't discontinued, just very popular and out of stock. No dates / estimates as to when they'll be back in, but they did say that stock levels are updated every few hours.

Historically, it’s very common for retailers (Sam’s, BJ’s, Target - back in the day) to temporarily go out of stock of Disney GCs. So far, they’ve always come back.

Has anyone doing the BB/swagbucks deal split payment between 2 Visa or Mastercard gift cards?

Split payments aren't a problem for Swagbucks. Since they're looking at the subtotal amount, they don't care how it got paid. For a larger purchase I did a couple BB GC's and 2 or 3 CC's for card offers, all worked fine.

I thought someone got an email like this previously on the thread, that was legitimate... I didn't pay much attention as I don't have a BJs membership. Hopefully that person will read this and enlighten us!

Today I got an email from a B2B rep at BJs as I've purchased $1,000 - $2,000 at a time in the past for upcoming trips, notifying me of a current promotion. Even though they would be the only ones to know that I had placed previous orders, I was wary of phishing and was not going to call someone and give my credit card info. So it worked out, as I was able to place an order on their web site and then email him the order number and because I bought 50 of the $100 cards he added another $199.50 discount off the order due to the promotion. So if you have a big trip planned and will be buying a stack of gift cards anyway, see the email chain from this evening and send an email to one of the two B2B reps noted in the thread to arrange for the extra discount - goes until the end of October.

Thanks for verifying! I got the email also and was concerned also (it's odd right) so headed over here to see what the response was. So the 8% was on top of the original discounted price? It was 4%+/- with the $100 GC purchases correct, is that discount still in play?

I guess it could be legitimate but I highly doubt it. The email says it is for orders over $5.000. I don't have a membership but I did make a large purchase last year when they had the 8% off and had the free online membership.

It definitely looks weird/fake/scammy. I think that's why I even remembered lol!

After rereading Jeff's post, that seemed like a good way to do it too... be okay with the normal discount then call up and get the extra discount applied like that... vs calling and giving your card number lol.

I also remember someone getting a letter just like that before BJ’s had one of their previous 8% off deals. Hope it is a sign that one will drop in a day or two.
