Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

YC has deluxe rooms, but only 2 I think. They have never shown up for booking online, but could be booked over the phone. However, both Yacht & Beach removed the deluxe rooms form club level this year. Beach Club removed some last year but still had a few with club level access. This year, no club level for any. There were always complaints about how far from the lounge these rooms were. But no one really knows why they were removed from CL.

@focusondisney , thanks for your reply! :) It's a shame they removed them from CL!

By sleep 5 do you mean you want it to have a day bed and 2 queens? I was told that does exist at YC and to make a day bed my only request. For club level you still have to be 4 people, but some have the day bed. Any experts know if this is true?

@texas200 , yes, that's what I mean. I do believe some YC rooms have this configuration, even though they now officially are designated "sleep 4" vs. "sleep 5".

I stayed at BC in feb. I kept reading that the deluxe rooms at bc were no longer with cl access. So yc probably did the same.

I stayed at gf CR wl and poly cl’s last year. All were AWESOME! CR is good because you know you will be on the same floor/close to lounge and all rooms have a balcony with great view. You don’t get that at other resorts. The staff is great. The food is good just not as plentiful as gf or wl. However about the same as poly but I prefer the food at CR . The alcohol is better at CR vs the others. They have better wines etc.

The lounge can be busy or totally empty at Cr. It’s so unique it’s fun to sit there . However your room won’t be too far away so you could take your stuff back and use the rolling table under the desk with the couch and chair .

I prefer to get desserts and watch from room balcony vs lounge. Put the sound on tv if you would like.

Oh they added a greeting drink. If they forget to offer ask for a monorail red! It’s like a Moscow mule (dd said ) I asked for bubbly instead.

@trishadono , I always come across some of your great CR posts when I search the resort! :) You've always highlighted really fun aspects of CR! A greeting drink is a great touch! Thanks for your thorough reply.
I can see WONDERFUL attributes at each of the MK resorts! We really like the WL vibe and would probably go for a deluxe room there as I'm concerned the regular rooms would be too tight, and I worry that the stews and cobblers wouldn't be a match for us. At Poly, I LOVE the pool and awesome CL lounge, but I don't like that we may not have a balcony, hubby dislikes the lack of a water closet in the bathroom, and my kids and I wouldn't eat the sushi and similarly themed fare. The CR theme is a little lacking, although I actually like the modern feel AND, OF COURSE, the walk to MK! My concern with CR is little food in the lounge and noise from being open to the monorail/restaurants (although previous posters have said this doesn't bother them, minus being on the Chef Mickey's side). I can't find anything that's a match elsewhere for all that GF RPC offers in terms of food, balcony, huge lounge, room size, etc., but hubby thinks he may want a change next year, so I'm checking it all out! I know this is a tough one to answer, however, if you were looking for an MK resort to 'match' what RPC offers, which would you choose?
THANK YOU in advance!

You're welcome! As a pp mentioned, BC has deluxe rooms, but they no longer have CL access :(.

You are correct about the daybeds and not all rooms having one, as well as YC/BC CL not accommodating parties of 5 anymore (although a party of 4 + 1 under age 3 is still an option ;)).

Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

@mickeynut1 , as always, THANK YOU for your reply :).

I think CR is the best option. Poly and wl food is THEMED. Whereas CR is more main stream. The breakfasts at all of them are pretty good. Midday is a little lacking at CR but its easier to get beverages midday because "the room" is adjacent to the lounge. The desserts are better at CR vs poly IMO.

Again: guaranteed balcony and guaranteed same floor room with walkability to MK are just great perks.

I love to stand with my wine and look over the rail to the concourse below. Its so cool! Listening to MK wake up from my balcony??? LOVE THAT:love:

OOH i love the bath at CR best too with the toilet separate lol.

The tv stand with the lighted base is a nice night light too!

The room has lots of space and I enjoy staying there. Honestly DD and I would go more often but discounts have been lacking. WE jumped on it last year when we got an acutal AP discount!!

Good luck deciding, lol but I love em all:flower1:

So we are arriving at the Beach Club later today (YAY!!). I’ve received two texts that our room isn’t quite ready yet, but when I looked at the app, I was able to see our room number. Is reasonably safe to assume that will be our room number, but the room is just being cleaned/waiting to be cleaned/otherwise unavailable at the moment? We won’t get in until much later today (we haven’t even left Colorado yet) so no need to get into our room, I’m just curious if our currently assigned room is likely to remain our room when we do arrive.
Would love to see more trip report info from you as we check in this coming Saturday!!

THANK YOU for another awesome and detailed reply! Looks like CR is a great option!
P.S. I do appreciate the themed food selections at Poly and WL, I just don’t think my kids would eat them! Having to check what the lounge has and then leave to go get them something at the QS restaurant kind of takes away from the CL experience for me.

It is a bummer that YC went to sleep 4 (we are a party of 4 but prefer sleep 5 rooms).

We are also party of 4 but prefer/need the rooms with daybeds to sleep 5. We are trying the YC CL in July and my one and only request is "daybed." I have to think/hope they didn't actually remove the daybeds, but they're just trying to limit the size of families that book these rooms and utilize the CL lounge. I'm trying to keep current on info to ensure the daybeds still exist, and I haven't seen otherwise yet. Guess I'll find out for sure in a few months!

I can’t imagine they would actually remove the daybeds! Hopefully they do not! Good luck on your July trip. I’m sure it will be magical! :tink:

I agree and I really don't think they'll remove them...so I'm thinking there's a good chance we'll get our request. We went through many stays at the BC requesting a daybed and mostly had good luck, and that was back when families of 5 got first dibs.

I'm trying YC CL in June and my only request is a daybed as well...lol. According to the room descriptions on the Disney website, it looks like GV CL and WV CL both have a daybed option, while SV CL is either 2 queens or a king (no daybed) ;).

I really don't think they'll remove them...so I'm thinking there's a good chance we'll get our request.

I agree :)

We will be staying at BWI in early April and it's time for us to put in our room request. Looking for a Garden View single or unshared terrace room with 2 Queen beds.
Tried figuring out what rooms might fit the criteria via Touring Plans but the layout map is missing some of the info. Anyone know of a more detailed 4th floor layout map or even a room number that might fit our wants?

TIA

The room finder tool is very inaccurate when it comes to room type and room amenities. I would just call and add your request just like you posted here. Although with the extremely small amount of King rooms, I don't think it's necessary to mention the 2 Queens.

SV CL used to be the only category that allowed groups of 5 to book,
So I would think plenty of those rooms would have daybeds. I know we had one that did.

We know one room we stayed in that met most of the bill (2 doors down from the Concierge Desk on the elevator side) but as much as I like Jackie, and the others who man the desk, I don't want to speak to anyone when I wake up in the morning and of course we have to pass the desk to get to the lounge. It was great that the lounge CMs recognized this and let me read my newspapers in peace.
Oops. First world problems, LOL.

YC SV CL has a daybed/couch in the rooms with 2 QBs for sure.

I've never had occasion to wonder this before, but in June we are staying AKV CL (for 4 nights of a split stay). When we booked our airfare, we decided to fly in the night before. I couldn't extend the CL room to the additional night. So we have a regular AKV room.

My question is: at what point on check-in day does one get access to the lounge? First thing AM?

Sure! We checked in at RPC at 8am last year, and went up for breakfast right after! Enjoy it!!

As soon as you check in, which I think can be 6:00 am. Since the lounge doesn’t open until 7 I might pass on the 6am, though :D.

Yeah, first thing. Your MB may/may not (I'd plan on not) work to access the lounge floor that morning, so you'll probably have to go 'check-in' downstairs, they'll escort you up to the CL CMs to finish check-in, etc. They are there starting at 7am.

FWIW, it may be worth asking when checking-in to night #1 if they can go ahead and move you/give you CL that night too so you don't have to move/mess with it, etc. I had something roughly similar at YC this past summer where nothing was available when I called/online, but it was when I asked at check-in. I was prepared to pay rack in that instance, but they even could give me the AP rate at the time (YMMV of course).

Actually, I think I mis-read this in your original post - you're in one of the few villa rooms with CL access? If so, my advice about inquiring about a CL room for your one extra night at check-in to potentially avoid having to move won't apply. My bad!

Thanks. Looks like Disney needs to change/update their room descriptions on the website ;).
