That sounds promising. I'm definitely leaning towards getting it and hope it's easier to figure out when you're actually using it than reading about it.

That was what I was kind of hoping would happen. I didn't have high hopes for 70k, but thought they would say something like, well, we can at least give you 20k for your troubles. I'm just hoping that my first request for 70k isn't going to mess up my second request for 60k (we already told you no...).
Eh - it's Citi IT...they won't see you asked once. They'll probably mistake your request for an application for a new Citi checking account and refer you to their mortgage department for further processing... :rotfl2:

Off the wall question, buy maybe someone knows. My mom's car needs to be in the shop for a few days. She's not getting it done at the dealership (twice as much). She was talking about getting a rental. Could I use my CSR to book a rental for her and add her as a driver?
This might depend on the company but I booked a rental using my dh's CSR for our recent FL trip. I wanted to drive the car while dh was in his conference but there was no way to add me in at the initial booking so we were hoping to just switch who was the driver at the counter. The guy told us that was not possible since the car was prepaid. We were with Hertz.

Do you have a Costco membership? I priced the car with Costco too and it was only a savings of $2 in points to book through UR's. I should have just gone through Costco because they add a 2nd driver for free.

Love reading all the good news.

I think it's $15/person now.

MaxPass is a MUST if Disneyland is busy, and an added perk is it includes all the PhotoPass pics you take that day. We used MaxPass last October during the Gay Days weekend and over Thanksgiving week when the parks were jammed packed. We were able to pull FPs for most rides into the late afternoon and evening (the E-ticket rides do disappear by about noon, but we always front load the popular rides for early in the day so we don't miss out, and if we can ride them again at night bonus), although the return times tend to get later as the day wears on, which will impact your pace of pulling more FPs and getting on the attractions.

Definitely familiarize yourself with the timing rules for how long to wait between pulling FPs. In the mornings, you can have multiple FPs pulled if you're strategic about it. See:

Thanks! It stinks that it's $15 now... tickets are already $$$$$ because of spring break. Thanks for all the links. We're going to try to get to the parks early, so definitely want to figure out how to pull multiple FPS.

Lol...true, true...:lmao:

This is probably a silly question, but for those mailing taxes... Do you use a standard business envelope? Or a big one so your tax papers are flat?

I should compare this... in June it's looking like not everyone will do 2 full days at Kennedy, so 2 drivers would be good.

I'm also trying to figure out what size of car... we will have 5 people, but all light packers and all of us being in the car would just be from port to Kennedy for the first day and to the hotel, then back to MCO the next day...

Thanks for the reply. We don't have a Costco membership :( We do have Sam's. I think their travel system is up again. I'll have to check on that.

I did call Enterprise (which was the company I would be using). They said with a 3rd party it had to be added on before hand. I'm on the phone with Chase Travel now, asked if they could add an add'l driver when booking. He doesn't know either, on hold.

If I didn't drive a bus (suburban) she could just drive my car and I could take the rental. But not sure she/I would be comfortable with that.

My dh had a job interview today and he felt it went great. I think he will be offered the position but this company moves a bit slow so could be a few weeks until he interviews with the guy who'd be his boss (a regional VP). My dh interviewed for this same job last year at this time but right after his interview a lot of changes occurred in the company (shuffling people around) and while most of the changes were good, it led to my dh not getting hired. It's all a long story but I knew this would all come back up and now it has.

The job is a remote position so we can live anywhere, which is exciting to think about! We won't move for a couple of years so our dd16 can finish out school here. After that, I think we are ready to either head back to TX or maybe consider FL again. With aging relatives, moving back to TX might be what we feel we need to do rather than what we want to do. Still considering the Panhandle of FL as we love the gulf side of FL and that isn't a very far drive to family in TX. @tink1970 I may be coming for a visit in a year or so :drinking:

Ah, that one is on my list...
I have this one in my Swiss gear backpack under the seat in front of me right now. I love it. Swiss gear backpack is awesome for traveling (got it for Vancouver) but it has so many pockets I forget where I put things or forget to zip things up.

Nope, cram them all in a regular envelope and throw a stamp on it!

Good luck!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for him!

Post back what Chase says, if you don't mind. It would be nice to know if they can add a driver booking over the phone. It was an extra $17 (PER DAY) I think to add a driver at the counter. We didn't pay it and I did drive the car but I don't recommend that!!

ETA: meant $17 per day. We had the car for 3 days so adding me was going to be almost $60 which is what we paid for the car already!

Well my friends, I had been in a bit of a funk the last couple weeks. We do the credit cards in a 3 player mode. DH, DM, and myself. DH was recently denied for the Barclay arrival, our first denial and :(. I finished mine more quickly than expected so Mom got one :lovestruc.

I went for a short trip to Orlando a few weeks ago and asked DD2 if she would take wallpaper off DD1’s walls and paint. :magnify: That room is now down to the studs, new flooring ordered and a more handicapped accessible escape route/window ordered. It is AMAZING how quickly we can blow through a MSR.
Well.... time for me to apply for new CIP. Denial:sad::sad:. I felt aweful. I’ve never been denied. It took 10 days of :sad2: and I called recon this morning. 50 min:scared::scared: and even though the lady was very nice I expect upcoming colonoscopy might be less stressful. CIP is now being expedited:woohoo::woohoo:.

I was able to get nice 2BR unit at Marriott Ko Olina for this December and was stressing about how I was going to get enough points to fly 7 of us there. This will definitely help.

Sorry to read about your denials, but the CIP should help! And yay for the Marriott Ko Olina! So... close... to... Aulani!
