Love your tops for HHN!!!!

Yes, I`m guessing you have a fair few themed tees for it...but they look great!!! Love the slimer ones......

Food plans look so good!!! We looked at the Bull and Bear for a special meal this trip.....but not sure yet as Tom would likely drive so maybe somewhere closer night be better.....but would love to see your report of it if you do go...….

Nice food pics too!!!

Unfortunately we ran into some FP day problems that I haven't really experienced before (which makes me a little worried about crowds). 60+ days out and I couldn't get any 7DMT or FoP that fit into our schedule.
I had the same issues for my trip next month. :headache: In order to get a couple FoP FPs, I had to do some major shifting around of my initial plans. Because of my motion sickness/vertigo issues, I opted not to do anything crazier than FoP though , so that was the only thing that really got me tripped up.

(Oh, yeah and I got scrunchies to go with the 80's theme :rotfl: )
YES!!! :thumbsup2

You are a planner!
Everything sounds like if no snags in your plans, your time there will be amooth

The only planning I do is booking flights, room and hhn tours

I'm feeling very anxious to nail down September, especially about buying HHN tickets. I looked and we didn't even buy anything until after Labor Day last year :faint: I guess that was easier between we were already planning US anyways and just added HHN, plus we got APs LD weekend and then got the slight discount on ROF passes. I feel like this year is just swirling in possibilities for exact dates and stuff lol

We'll also be seeing Illuminations for the last time this day
😭 😭 😭
As for FoP we probably won't ride that unless it's an hour or less during one of our AK days then we may wait in line.
Booo. I had luck getting one the night before on our last trip, seriously as we were getting into bed around 11pm :confused3 Maybe one will randomly show up!
I feel cheated because we didn't end up going here last month as planned. I realized our TIW card doesn't expire until the end of October so I may have to work it in somewhere lol. It wouldn't be crazy to just go for a weekend to eat at Shula's, right? :scratchin
I also ordered this bag for HHN:
I love this!
Possibly this time we'd do more of the tourist stuff in LA we bumped, maybe the Chicago portion we cut, some of the stuff in San Diego we missed, and visit DCA/DL, Knotts, and Universal Hollywood. Maybe Six Flags too if we had time for it. I'd like to go towards the end of the month to hopefully miss some of the spring break crowds, but want to do a different time of year so we can make some of the little festivals they do around that time. (Food and Wine in DCA, Bosenberry Festival at Knotts, seeing DL when everything is operational and not under a scrim). But that's just in the idea stage right now.
Fun! I think F&W at DCA looks pretty good, we really enjoyed the couple things we managed to get last April. But it was the last weekend so overall the lines were INSANE for food booths. I keep looking at San Diego for a weekend-ish trip now, maybe in the winter when I'm cold :rotfl:

Have you started booking for Sep yet or are you still looking at dates? I vote for the days Josh and I will be there :rotfl: of course. I wouldn’t be too anxious about HHN tickets. I like to get mine early, but you don’t have to. Plus the ROF is good for the whole month. Do you still have your AP’s or plan to renew them?
We are still looking at hijacking your dates :D I will have to text you the somewhat crazy thing I have done so far.
I should ask you my April questions! I was worried about the crowds in April, but since the trip isn’t entirely theme park based and that event ends in April I was hoping it wouldn’t be. I was thinking either the first week of April or the week after the week after Easter because apparently spring break usually ends around them and Easter is mid April this year. :scratchin I can’t get approval till Jan though so I don’t know if those will be our dates, but I did want to do a slightly different time of year than last year.
When we went in April I feel like it was busy, but not overwhelmingly so... that year Easter was Apr 1st and we were there the 7th to 10th. The weirdest thing was Monday (9th) was the worst day trying to get into the park, we waited an hour just to get through security :confused3 we went around the same time Sun-Tues, around rope drop. Very strange to us. On Saturday we were driving up from San Diego so didn't get there til noon, 1pm, something like that. The food booth lines were crazy because I think the festival ended that Wed or Thurs. We did a bit better on Monday right when they opened, but Sunday there were lines that were like, 100+ people :faint: From what we heard that was mostly due to the end of the festival, with the locals. I'd think during the week would be a bit better, especially not right at the end of the festival.

Glad I'm not the only one. DH and I agreed that we wouldn't do any non-essential purchases during the of July (because we have something going on just about every other month of this year.) I have been anxiously counting down every day until I can start getting the trip a little more planned out.

Last week I went to Target to try and find the Stranger Things flavored ice cream and I only found the Mindflayer Mint and Sherbert Shadow.

I don't know if they have this where you are, but here in Toronto they actually decked out a whole Baskin Robbins like the show, super cool.

There is just so much to see and do in CA, I want to go back already too. Knott's looks amazing, and we never made it to Universal either.

I wish we could get to a Baskin Robbins like that! (I’ve heard they turned a Baskin Robbins into an actual Scoops Ahoy in Burbank CA). But we don’t have any Baskin Robbins around here, they closed years ago. I don’t think there’s one in a hundred mile radius of our area.

Love the bag!!

Thank you!

There is! I’m a little torn because there’s places we want to visit in FL too that we haven’t been yet, but I had enough places I wanted to see in CA to plan a whole other trip. Knotts and Universal would be on the list if we went back! I felt like Universal had too many rides we’d already been on and was smaller than Orlando’s so it was hard to justify, but now that they’re opening some new rides I’m definitely more curious.

(This is one of my HHN shirts too).

LOVE the Stranger Things shirts. I got the Hawkins Indiana one from Target and I wish I'd gotten some of the others when I first saw them because now I'm not seeing them as much. Still looking though.

I think the Monsters area sounds amazing too. I think I may have to do a Universal trip one day - it's just SO expensive to do both Disney and Universal in one trip, but it would break my heart to do Universal and then be that close to WDW and not go...ugh...

Thank you! There's so many good ones out there! But Target was kind of overpicked even when I went like the week after they came out.

I highly recommend it! But I agree the tickets can be pretty expensive to do both. I actually find the Universal AP to be a better deal if you're going a couple days but I'm not sure how the pricing will change when the new park opens, although that's a ways off. It's hard not to do them both!

I have, but probably won't again :rotfl2:

When I realized scrunchies were back, I was pretty excited  I saw someone wearing them, and I was like wait those are cool again? I never wanted to stop wearing them in the first place! I bought a pack with like 50 colors on Amazon for only like $8.
RIGHT?! They're the best, and much kinder to our hair than regular rubber hair bands.

And my bag came in!

Love this!!!

Since I last posted we got A LOT of HHN news including the rest of the houses, all the scare zones, and both shows. Overall I'm loving the line up for this year because so many of the houses sound amazing to me, but the new ones since I last posted are: Us, Graveyard Games, & House of 1000 Corpses. Us is near the top of my list for ones I want to see, I've heard a lot of people say this won't be a good house, and I don't really get why? I thought the movie was really creepy, and it freaked me out. I also think there's a lot of locations in the movie that they can work with. I loved the movie so I can't wait for that one. I think Graveyard Games is going to be my favorite original this year, I'm really excited to see a ghost house. And finally House of 1000 Corpses, isn't really my kind of movie, and I don't plan to watch it so I don't really expect much from the house, but I'll still check it out.

The scare zones all sound cool too, although I have to watch Zombieland still so I know what's going on in that one. I like Rob Zombie's music a bit, even if his movies aren't my thing so I have some idea of what that scare zone will be like, and I think it could be cool if they use characters from his songs. I'm most looking forward to Anarch-cade so I hope that one doesn't disappoint, but all the original property ones sound cool. As for the shows, I really like Academy of Villains every year. I know not everyone is a fan, but I like dance shows, and the lagoon show sounds amazing. I guess the only thing left for them to announce is snacks and merch.
I'm so excited for the lagoon show, that should be really cool. I'm sure we will watch Zombieland again since we haven't in a few years. Planning to watch GB and Us too. I uh, read the wiki article on 1000 corpses and I think I'm okay to skip the movie lol. I've been meaning to look up Rob Zombie's music too, honestly I didn't know much about him.

Ok, I also want to know what's going to happen at Cabana Bay. I was debating there and Aventura for Wed night since we'll probably take a flight that lands around 10pm (also because I'm cheap and we will probably do RPR but I don't want to pay for it that night lol), and was leaning towards Aventura since we did CB last year, but... :rotfl:

I swear I've seen the cartoon this was in...
And we scored a reservation to Oga's Cantina on the Tuesday during our trip. We weren't planning to go to Batuu, and I still don't think we'll spend much time in there, but the Cantina was the thing I wanted to check out the most, and that'll guarantee us access to the land for a little bit.
I think we'll go to Oga's since we didn't get to do it in the preview. Just need to figure out which days... I've been such a slack both in trip planning and in reading/commenting here! Things have just been C.R.A.Z.Y. I haven't even booked FPs for next weekend. I kind of just want to hit a few rides plus an Oga's reservation at DHS but I think Zack wants to watch Fantasmic...
(Mostly that little Haunted Mansion wedding cake, but most of the ones in this picture :rotfl:).
Oh my gosh, the cake!! I haven't paid much attention to the party this year beyond the new FW show, but Zack wants to go next Friday... I tried that pretzel last year and didn't get a good one, if that's on your list. I was sad :(
