No, you're fine. Each restaurant has a separate cut off time for reservations on party night, and so long as you made your reservation on the Main Dining page and not via the Party Dining link, you'll be fine (and since Skipper's doesn't offer reservations during the party, the main dining page would have been the only way you could have made an ADR). Enjoy - it's our favorite MK hidden gem restaurant!

ETA: Just make sure you are in the Magic Kingdom prior to 6 pm, as no one without a party ticket will be admitted after 5:59. Also, expect to be escorted to the exit of the park once you finish dining.

Great news! Thanks for the tips. I was expecting to be escorted out, but just thought it was a good opportunity to dine in the park but still maximise my time on the rides there. I'd expect to be there riding already by the afternoon, so definitely won't be coming into the park after 6pm. I'm really excited to try this one, it looks like I might finally enjoy a restaurant in Magic Kingdom!

I called DSS today to book a dessert party for 12/22. I was told that booking wasn't available for December yet. I was also told that booking should be available about 90 days out.

Hmmm I booked the Terrace dessert party for 12/19 a while back wonder why all dessert parties wouldn’t open for booking at same time

Ok, I called Disney Dining this time. I was told the plaza garden view for MVMCP is bookable for December. It is currently sold out for 12/22, but was encouraged to checkback.
Like so many phone CMs, she gave you bad info. December has never even opened for the gardens, I've been checking since my 180 window opened. Definitely keep checking back and watch this thread - I'm sure one of us will post when they are finally available.....unless they have something else planned for the gardens in December, but would seem odd to make a change in the middle of the party dates.

It's definitely odd and likely a weird Disney glitch....hopefully someone realizes it and flips the switch sooner rather than later! I remember 2 years ago when there was a MNSSHP party on 11/1, it was the only date that didn't get "activated" in the party dining link for WEEKS. CMs kept saying it was open and just sold out, until one day they magically appeared.

It is awfully suspicious, isn’t it. :scratchin

I got the same bad info from a phone CM. I tried to explain that they had never been available (been checking since 180 days as well) but he insisted that they were just sold out dates. I'm patiently waiting and every time I see a notification on this thread I think, "Oh maybe they're available now!"

For grins and giggles, I checked availability for every December party date for Plaza viewing. No availability. November has availability every party date except November 24. The system was "unable to check" on that date. Hmmm....

November 24 is the one I'm looking for!

I think that you are definitely onto something, as I’ve been trying to get a reservation at The Wave for Canadian Thanksgiving for weeks...WEEKS! At the Wave! No times available. Suddenly, today, as you put it- like a switch was flipped and all times were available. I definitely feel that this is just a loading issue and not that they are actually sold out (how could they sell out when they’ve never actually gone on sale...these phone CMs do need a bit more training at times, I think). Hopefully things turn around soon!

Are there really no events during Thanksgiving week? Did I miss something? We were considering going that weekend, but not if there aren't any parties.

No parties during Thanksgiving. Typically last party the Friday before Thanksgiving week and then the Sunday after. It looks like this year there are parties the Friday before & Sunday of Thanksgiving week.

Yep, this is typical. No early close nights for MK during a busy holiday weekend.
