Where is the check in for this party? We are going tonight.
It's called Mexico Vista which is on the left side of the Disney Traders merchandise shop which is on the left as you enter the World Showcase from Future World. They'll be a sign on the promenade pointing to the check in podium or informing you that the party will take place inside the Norway pavilion due to the possibility of rain.

Thank you very much!

We also just booked 10/30 @Ashmishgab. it's DD's birthday who becomes a Disney adult that day (turning 10) and is a huge Frozen fan so we're excited to check out the party and not have to find a space to watch EPCOT forever on her big day and not have to burn our only EP tier 1 FP on Frozen. We are also dining @ Coral Reef - just moved our dinner ADR to mid afternoon -it's DD's favorite restaurant at EPCOT although we are still hoping perhaps the space restaurant will open by then in which case that would be the ultimate birthday treat for her.

We did this party in January and loved it so much that my daughter and I decided to do it again last week, since it was our last chance to see Illuminations.

We attended on Wednesday, and the alternative weather location was used. I have to say that although eating outdoors and not having to move for the viewing of the show is ideal, we had just as good a time with the alternative location.

With the indoor location, there are large tables with 10-12 people seated together. Our tablemates were absolutely lovely families; we all shared many laughs before we left to watch the show. Drink and food selections were also great. My daughter and I loved the margaritas, although I'm not typically a mixed drinks fan. I also had the pinot grigio.

As we always do with dessert parties, we had only a small snack in the afternoon, allowing us to be quite hungry for our "dinner" at the party!

I will continue to recommend this event for a "VIP feel", a fun experience, and very good food and drink.

We are here now and so far everything is set up for outside. It rained hard about 2pm and then cleared up. Fingers crossed!

I went to the dessert party on 8/5/19. It rained between 5 and 630pm so the party was moved indoors. The indoor location was fine, but really the outdoor party is better, mostly because it is awkward sitting with another party. It didn't wreck the experience, and I would book this party again.

I wanted to share my experience with guest services before the party. I had booked the party for my family of 5. Unfortunately, my son came down with a virus during the day and was unable to attend the party. Around 530pm, I went to guest services and asked if it was possible to have a refund for my son and husband. I was surprised at how easily they agreed. Since 3 of us were still planning to attend, they could not process the refund immediately, but needed to wait until after the party. She actually apologized for this delay. It was a nice surprise as I assumed that they would not accept a cancellation so late.

Interesting, I've now done both the outdoors and inside parties (our party on 8/14 was moved inside). I thought sitting with others actually enhanced our experience. Maybe we just got lucky, because we had a delightful combination of families at our table, and we all shared quite a few stories and laughs.

We also shared with a group on August 7 and loved it! 3 teachers and our families, all with children around the same ages. It was fun to talk with them.

Well...the other family had 3 moody teenagers. They didn't speak with us at all...not in a mean way, just not interested. And to be fair, the three of us were worried about the sick one. I was trying to figure out if I needed to take him to urgent care and was a bit distracted.

I got lucky and snagged an opening for 9/27. I'm supposed to get in close to 5pm that day, so keeping my fingers crossed I don't run into any delays. Can't wait to see Illuminations one last time (or maybe 2 more times, still on the fence about trying to make it to the last one on the 30th)

I am planning to ride FEA earlier in the day as I have read that sometimes the ride acts up and it’s not available after the party. (I’m optimistic that it will be up and running but our DD4 definitely won’t mind riding it twice) I’m actually planning on not even telling her about the ride after the party as a little surprise and that way if for any reason it does go down she won’t be disappointed. She also is a bit of a scaredy-cat so I’m not even planning on using FP for Soarin’ or TT. I don’t even know if she’ll make the height requirement even if she would be willing to try them.

A change in the number of people attending is not usually an issue, it can be handled at the check-in podium right up until the start of the party. Did it many times.

I have a weird, somewhat uncouth questions. We have FEASDP booked for 9/16 and I just love love love all the desserts that I have seen for the party. When my husband and I did the two dessert parties for our honeymoon (The Ferryboat and the SW Galactic Spectacular) the one thing I wished was that I'd grabed one or two little things to take with me to eat and prolong the fun after the party (or maybe the next day).

Do you think it is allowed to maybe grab 1 or 2 extra of your favorite dessert to take with you after the party is over? I do remember seeing people grab lots of the same kinds of desserts but I never saw anything run out or anyone making "to go boxes" I am imagining one of those little collapsible tupperwares and putting a cupcake or two in it to take out of the park, but maybe this would be frowned upon by staff? I certainly don't want to do anything rude or not allowed but I am curious to know which way it is. Am I the Disney newb who doesn't know this is totally a thing everyone does or would this be a big no-no?

It's absolutely OK. I unofficially encouraged Guests to take desserts and drinks with them. I've seen some frequent dessert party goers bring zip lock bags, small plastic containers or fill drink cups with desserts. For the most part, whatever's left over won't be eaten so take some with you.
