Thoughts on the $300 Halloween party pass for all parties?

At this point, I am almost at my FP+ day. Much easier to make plans on this side, so unless they announce October AH in the next four days...

I don't really get your comment? This is about either doing an unlimited MNSSHP ticket (3x) or doing 2x AH + 1x MNSSHP.

You are not making FP+ reservations for the events, you wouldn't need them for AH, and I would assume you have regular park tickets if you are there that long.

Regardless if you are doing MNSSHP most suggest MK has lower crowds on park days earlier in the day. So as an example we are not doing MNSSHP at all and have MK scheduled for all 3 days when the party is set.

We are skipping the party all together this year because of how bad the crowding is and I will grab tickets for AH possibly from UT if we want to go to those.

My point is that my plans are going to be basically locked in after I reserve Fast Passes. My date is in four days. If I get this pass, I can factor it into my plans. As of right now, I have to wait and hope that there will even be an After Hours party.

This move on Disney's part is good for locals and bad for guests that are out of town, and can only go to one or two parties. I have seen the videos for last night's MNSSHP -- it was crowded, and I fear it will be crowded for every MNSSHP. I bought tickets for two parties early, expecting limited crowds -- not a free-for-all. I am going to call Disney and ask for a refund. They changed the rules, not me :(

I am thinking about canceling my entire trip. How is that for customer satisfaction?

I think Disney needs to hear the feedback. What they do with it I have no idea, but voting with your wallet seems to be the only thing Disney cares about.

If they have this for MVMCP I would get it
That is exactly what i thought :) . We are visiting the parks for October 31 (MNSSHP but blacked out of the flatrate ticket so we have tickets for that night only) and stay until November 25th, so plenty of MVMCParties (10 if i calculated right) to visit during that time period. But i think they might increase the price for a MVMCP flatrate to 400+ as Christmas time is better visited overall and party-wise.

This new ticket or not, you should not expect limited crowds. The parties, for the most part, are already very, very crowded. They don't advertise it as a limited capacity event and it's not. If you've ever seen the MK at true capacity though, it's clear that even though crowded, the parties are no where near park capacity. But I'm afraid if you expect a lower crowd at the parties than an average park day, you're going to be very disappointed.

The problem is that unlike average park days, there are no FPs during the parties. Now that arguably makes the standby lines move a bit faster, but there is no way to avoid lines

I'm referring more to party exclusive events. I don't go to MNSSHP to ride rides. I can do that any day of the week. But I agree, there is no way to avoid lines at even the regular rides at the parties. Honestly, if they're going to pack them in like a regular park day, I wish they would allow FP's.

They will either increase the price or they will not offer the option, depending on the feedback from the MNSSHP's ticket offer.
I think the parties are already crowded fo rthe most part, although not so much as a regular park day, and I wonder how Disney can plan for this kind of unknown. I believe mostly locals will make this purchase, so planning regular party ticket sales is going to get more complicated.

I imagine Disney is trying to disburse the crowds to MK on party nights or make it more reasonable to visit MK on a party day a few times during the trip and just stay for the party.

If Disney manages to navigate this option sucessfully, I bet they will offer the option for MVMCP and will increase the price. MK on those three non party nights is a mess, and if crowds increase due to GE it is only going to get worse.

Honestly, as a local, it sounds tempting. Unfortunately I just paid to renew our APs, so shelling out another $300/pp for our family is a bit much right now, so we'll just do 1 or 2 parties this year and maybe re-evaluate next party season.

They should offer this to everyone because for those who are staying many days, this is a plus. I am staying 9 days and I could do 4 parties with this.

The notion of "boycotting" Disneyland or Disney World cracks me up. While it may make YOU feel better (and that's important), there are 10 people behind you that will purchase tickets no matter what. There's no use going if you're going to be bitter, upset and/or angry. That's no fun. It's supposed to be FUN!

2.5 months of limited MK access for $300 a person is a lot, especially when you start having to buy it for more than 1-2 people. I’m not sure how popular it would really be with families especially with so many parties landing on school nights.

Honestly it feels more like an influencer (and wannabe influencer) pass than anything lol. So many more opportunities for the perfect Instagram picture!

Not really thrilled with it, but I'm not too worried about making the crowds impossible. I'll stay positive and believe as someone previously said: If people do go multiple times, maybe they will go for certain events, and not add much to the overall crowd. Maybe they will just make sure they load up on candy. We went last year on October 31 and it really wasn't that bad. We did everything we wanted to do. There is only 1 time I can remember being disappointed in how crowded it was and that was MVMCP in 2005.
