I have many questions about Costco and prices.
But im only going to ask a few and maybe someone can help me out.
Steak how much a pound?
Rotisserie chicken cooked how much are they?
Fresh pre made burgers how much are they? ( im not sure if they have stuff like this, im from Canada and we can get a pack of 12 burgers fresh pre made for around 20 bucks they are around 8 OZ burgers)
Milk ?
bread?
eggs?
We are not a organic family.
We don't need the top of the line beef which it is good. A pack of new York strip steaks or rib steaks. or even the whole tenderloin.
Thank you very much for all your help and time.

I don't know if anyone here will have exact pricing, but I will tell you that Costco sells much of their stuff in bulk so the quantities are large but priced at wholesale pricing If you need a large quantity, the pricing will be cheaper than you'd find at Safeway or Target. Everything in Kapolei will be priced cheaper than you'd find across the street at the Island Market.

Also, Costco requires the purchase of a membership. If you don't have a Costco at home where you can use it, I would question whether the purchase of a membership offsets any potential savings depending on how much you need to buy. It did not make sense for us (we don't have Costco at home), so we opted to go to Target instead.

we have a Costco here and we have a Costco membership. I guess im just looking for a ballpark price
like 4 strip steaks are approx. 40 bucks pack of fresh burgers is approx. 25 bucks for X amount.

You could probably go online and look up prices. Just understand that food is much more expensive than the mainland. For instance it’s hard to find a gallon of milk for less than 4.50 or $5 US. Produce is usually about the same or cheaper depending on whether it’s local. I’d suggest if cost is important you just see what’s on special when you get there. Also if you plan on grilling at aulani there are very limited hours snd only a few grills. We usually only buy breakfast and lunch foods and then go out to dinner. Also unless you get at least a one bedroom with a full kitchen there is limited storage snd refrigeration space.

Thank you we have a 2 bedroom villa. We will be there for 10 nights so eating out every night would be a small fortune. It is hard for us being Canadian to know the prices. I have since gone on instacart and pulled up Aulani zip code and made a false order.
Im not looking for cheap I was just not trying to get sticker shock.
Our milk here in Canada is 5 bucks a gallon, gas is 5 bucks a gallon.
The other hard part is the exchange rate. so for every 100 dollars US we spend it is 137 Canadian dollars.
So basically add 37% to the total bill and that is what it is in Canadian funds. OUCH
We plan on a few dinners and the luau for sure, but the other 6 nights we will be using the stove and BBQ.

Instacart typically inflates the prices to account for their service. I would take your total from the false instacart order, round it up to the nearest ten, and that should cover it. I always would rather overestimate when it comes to budgeting.

The Foodland grocery store in Kapolei has very good quality meats and seafood for very reasonable prices in the islands. They have the best fresh poke!!

I was there in July below is what I recall:
Pizza: $10
Pork Ribs:$36 (3 slabs)
Milk 2 gallon: $6
Eggs: $6

Prices where very similar to what we have in California.

I’m an Oahu resident who shops at the Hawaii Kai Costco every week. I buy organic whenever possible, so I’m not sure how much non-organic is. These prices should help give you a better gauge of what things cost, though.

I’ve used instacart on several occasions and it’s approximately 20% more online, excluding tip, service, and delivery fees.

Steak how much a pound?
$8.99/lb for ribeye. Packages are usually around $40-$50. There are cheaper cuts for $6.99/lb but I’ve never tried them and don’t know what they are.

Rotisserie chicken cooked how much are they?

$4.99

Fresh pre made burgers how much are they? ( im not sure if they have stuff like this, im from Canada and we can get a pack of 12 burgers fresh pre made for around 20 bucks they are around 8 OZ burgers)

I haven’t seen these in a while but I will try to remember to check tonight.

Milk ?

$13/3x 0.5 gallon of whole organic milk

bread?

$10.50 for 2 loaves of Dave’s killer bread

eggs?

$7-$8 for 24 organic large eggs

I can't answer your specific questions, but we go to Costco all the time in Rochester, NY and found the prices at Costco in Hawaii to be almost the same. Maybe a little higher for some things, but not outrageous. I know Canadian prices are higher than US prices though. We have also gone to the Costco on Maui and Kauai and prices are similar to Oahu. Gas during our last visit at Costco was cheaper than here in Western New York. the islands are small and I think we filled up our tank on the way back to the airport and we didn't use more than that one tank.

We are going in November. I work at Costco and was planning on looking up some prices for comparison. Everything I’ve read said most are comparable, certain items are a lot higher compared to mainland prices.

From the list above:
Steak-comparable.
Rotisserie chicken-4.99 is the company standard
Milk-about $3 more, was expecting that
Dave’s Killer bread- about $2 more
Eggs-about $2 more

Ground beef patties are $3.39/lb.

1/2 gallon of milk is $5.69. 1.5 gallons of organic is now at $14.32

I’ve noticed that milk and egg prices at Costco have been fluctuating +/- 15% lately, but I’m not sure why.

Thanks for checking and sharing. 👍

Milk is really a lot more expensive. We currently range from $3.03-$2.57, per gallon, depending on which type. $9.99 for the the three pack of organic.

If you go to the Instacart website or download their app, put in Aulani’s zip code(96707) you can see the prices yourself.Costco will deliver to the hotel. It doesn’t cost to sign up and you don’t have to purchase anything. From my experience with Instacart the prices are the same in store. Safeway had an issue with bumping up the prices on their service

In Hawaii, Instacart prices are higher than in stores. Rotisserie chicken is $6.09 vs $4.99 in stores. Also, the sales/specials on Instacart are minimal. Even worse, the in-store sales are not extended to Instacart. In general, Instacart is 20% more expensive than in-store prices.

I'm also pulling prices from Instacart knowing that they are higher than they are in store - at least I know that I'm not under budgeting that way!

Wow! I figured that prices would be more expensive in Hawaii then on Mainland. They were the last time I went over 10 years ago and figure that would apply today. Not sure if there is a law against Instacart raising prices there but Safeway did it and they got in trouble for that, I received a $400 check from them just last month as part of the judgement against them. Like I said, the stores I use on Instacart for delivery are typically the same price for items when I have bought them in store. At the very least you get a round about cost and if guests have rented a car, the Costco is only a few miles from the hotel. Personally, I get why Disney does not provide a shuttle to the stores for such things but they really should.
