Real Life Update!

Joe, Ashley and I attended our last White Sox game of the season last night and also brought along Joe's best friend, Joe. The Sox lost to the Angels but we had a great time anyway! We ate a lot, drank a lot, and Ashley's fav player, Yolmer Sanchez found her in the crowd again, pointed at her (with that great, big smile of his) and tossed her a ball over the netting. Here are some pics of our time at the game...

Hi everyone!!! So, guess what?!?! I'm going back to Disney World!! Joe and I have booked a trip over MLK weekend and we will be joined by our very special friends, @ariane37 and her husband Steve, with special guest stars @ArielSRL (Renee), her husband Chad, and @disneyAndi14 (Caroline). We are in the early stages of making plans, but we all have our trips booked and a couple of things planned already...I am soooo excited! I can't believe I am going to get to spend time with this awesome group of friends again and I am thrilled to FINALLY be attending my very first Festival of the Arts at Epcot.

So fun! You are making the most of your AP, my friend!

In terms of the parks, I am leaving that in the hands of the fabulous TA, @ariane37 I have left her in charge of FP's and where we need to be when...I just requested that she try to get a FP for FOP and SDD. Joe and I are planning on spending our first full day at MK and then hopping over to DAK for DAH. DAH at DAK will also be a first for me (and Joe).

Enjoying reading about the August trip. How wonderful to meet someone from the boards. I bet Timmy is fun to meet up with. I've always had good experiences doing that. I'm glad yours went well. I'm loving your pictures.

I'm surprised that you had so bad an experience at O'hana's. For my late October trip, I have a reservation there for the first seating of the day. Going into it I arranged for it to be optional. I thought we would see how we were feeling and cancel a couple of days out if we weren't feeling it. I can't imagine having previous diners' dishes and food under your table. I've never heard of such a thing before in our out of Disney. Thankfully, the manager acknowledged that should not have happened. Now I'm really leaning towards canceling.

August Disney World Vacation Haul Vlogl!!!!

So, remember that list I made of things I wanted to accomplish on my trip??? Well, here are the results...

Before I get to arrival day, I wanted to post a list of "goals" I had for this trip. How many do you think I was able to accomplish? In May, I went 7/10. Do you all think I did better or worse this time around???

1. I want to try the Dole Whip cookie at The Basket Yep, got this done, although it was an ice cream sandwich and not a cookie...
2. I want to try a specialty ice cream at the MK (ex. the Maleficent cone) Yep, had the Maleficent cone at the MK DAH Villians event.
3. Deluxe Burger...NOPE, not yet...
4. Contempo Cafe Yep. visited this place quite a few times.
5. Lapu Lapu (Epic fail in May, so it makes the list again) Yep, had this with my brunch at Ohana!!!
6. Buy the Crislu earrings that match my Mickey neckless Yes and no. I technically got the earrings before I left on this trip but after I made this list. So, yep, I'm counting it!!!!
7. Meet up with Kari, aka @kastoney YEP! This was the best evening of the trip because I got to spend it with my friend.
8. Take Gia on Barnstormer...No, but I rode it, so it counts. I had never been on it before so that's why I'm counting it as a win!
9. Buy a Toy Story 4 tee I did, but not for me. I actually got it for Ashley. So, I'm gonna say it counts...
10. Make my own Rice Krispy treat at Goofy's Candy Co. Nope. I didn't get to this, but maybe in a week and a half...

If you are keeping track, that makes 8/10. So, definitely not bad. In May, I was 7/10, so a slight improvement. I hope to find time to make a new list for my trip this month!!!!

UPDATE: We Leave in 10 days!!!


Can you all believe that we leave 10 days from today?!?! This trip is seriously coming up quick! And, not only will we be in Disney for 5 nights but we have time booked in St Pete before and after as well. We have so much planned in both places and I'm really looking forward to sharing it all with you in writing and through our vlogging at Jen and Joe on the Go on YouTube. We have some great restaurant reservations, a couple of dessert parties booked, a MNSSHP to attend, massages booked and a beach chair that is calling my name at Caddies (a great beach bar in St Pete beach).

I will probably start packing this weekend. I'm getting my hair cut and colored next week (need to hide those grays that keep popping up) and I have a mani/pedi scheduled the morning before we leave.

I have started to put a list together of things I'd like to bring home from Disney, including a pair of earrings from Arribas, bath bombs from Basin and a color block tee I saw back in August that I'm hoping is still available...

I also texted with my buddy @ariane37 yesterday and we have started to put together some things we'd like to do in January on our trip together. There MAY be a tour involved and definitely a lounge or 2 or 3...

I also picked up a few things at Gap over the weekend, nothing special, just some sweat shorts and logo tees...

That attraction shirt is really cool but I take one look at that crew neck and walk right on by. Disney really needs to start making some of these shirts in a more flattering cut.

September Update!

We are in the single digits now kids! We leave 8 days from today. For our first night at Disney, we have something VERY special planned but I've decided not to tell you all about it until we get back. I want to keep it a surprise because its something I haven't seen very much info about...

We will be spending the late morning into the early afternoon at DAK our first day. We are even meeting up with @Steppesister and hopefully @docsoliday1 at Satu'li Canteen for lunch. I think we will be there around 11:30, at least that's the plan...I'm really looking forward to this meetup!!!

We are staying at 2 different hotels/resorts this trip. Neither of them is new to us.

We are eating at a few new to us restaurants and quite a few repeats.

Joe has a reservation at Oga's Canteen and he is really excited about it.

We have 3 dessert parties planned, 1 of which is new to us.

MNSSHP will be a lot of fun! I'm hoping for decent weather that night...This will be our 4th or 5th party.

We are bringing our niece, Gia with us (it's actually her annual birthday trip).
