A Tipsy Tenth Dining Adventure - Completed 9/28

While we checked out Choza de Margarita and got the Fuego Verde margarita with Gracias a Dios Mezcal, Jalapeño, Cucumber, Fresh Lime Juice, Agave Nectar and Black Ant Salt rim.

I don't think I could get past the ant salt rim :scared:

:rotfl::rotfl: The next rose gold ears!

Chinese Cotton Candy!!! This had just come out that day I think and while it was more instagramable than good, she was clearly a happy camper.

Wow that thing is huge!

Am I the only one picking up on anatomy vibes? 👙 Not sure these are Disney approved:P

:rotfl::rotfl:

“moron” ni which would make an interesting name for a beer though.

Oo that would be fun.

Translation: I did not in fact drink Nemo with my puppies,

giphy.gif

After lots of free sampling Jason and I split the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake and Nonna D’s Oatmeal Lace.

Love the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake! 🥰🥰

:rotfl: 🍍:rotfl::rotfl:I have no idea why that pineapple is there and I can’t get the bugger out so just pretend it’s not there !
Anyway just wanted to say thanks for brightening my rainy Monday morning and making me laugh out loud with your tipsy notes. You are definitely not alone when it comes to candy floss anatomy :scared1::rotfl::rotfl:

Am I the only one picking up on anatomy vibes? 👙
Will I get a special picture sent to me at some point of this??? Because that truly beats the CG chocolate and the redheaded whatever in MK 🏴‍☠️
Overall we had a good server who was new and not yet hating all of the Americans so he was more attention that usual.

 totally true!!!
When we were in Tutto Gusto in August we debated whether we wanted to do Via Napoli again soon or try Tutto Italia again - it's been years since we were there but we remember it being good. Don't think we'll get to either in Sept. but VN rarely disappoints!

Hmmm...Chinese anatomy and ample hills...the 13 year old boy in me enjoyed this update. Heck, the 46 year old boy in me had a laugh too!

Glad you enjoyed Via Napoli again. I can't imagine a trip without going there. Although I am very far from the "golden spoon award" and should probably branch out to some different restaurants, Via Napoli has been so consistently good that it's really my most enjoyable meal there.

Via Napoli is one of my favorites . I am still in shock you switched things up with your pizza !
I have only been to Ample Hills once but definitely want to return. Soooo goooood .

LOVE TIPSY NOTES!!! Can't wait to try Via Napoli for the first time this December. The problem is deciding on which pizza to order!!! :confused3

Poor pupper…I'm glad he's ok
He's hanging in there.

All it takes it faith, trust, and sugar dust...
Casey's Mantra!!!

Weren't you just there in the beginning of May?? :P
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I"m actually going next week and I mentioned something about it today and Casey told me I have to show her my pictures when I come home so she knows I was really in St. Lous:earboy2:

Looks like a pretty good day, and as usually a good tipsy notes!

Any day with good pizza is a good day in my book!!
Tipsy and pizza, do ya really need anything more than that :drinking1

Sorry to hear about dog troubles, we have 2 senior dogs, we actually have never had a lab live as long as our old Ed! He is a sweetheart!
We love him, but watching him get old is hard. He's a trooper though. He's 11 1/2 and a Newfoundland life expectancy is 8-10 years.

We have been getting the margherita with mushrooms (your favorite) and really like this!
Sounds delicious. Maybe I'll try this next time 🍄 :earboy2:

We will have to start a trend! Panda mugs for all!
I love it! We'll be the "cool" girls who started the panda-monium of 2019!!!!

First chocolate at CG and now cotton candy in China... :rotfl2:
What can I say? Some people see animals in clouds and I have the gift of seeing anatomically correct parts in food

Absolutely not. I went there, then saw your comment, and then felt relieved I wasn't the only... um, observant person
Yes, observant that is what we are!!! Seriously though, couldn't miss that one.

Forget IG. I'll be using Innie Gate from now on as an abbreviation :thumbsup2
Love it when the tipsy notes can start whole new language trends.

I ❤ tipsy notes and trying to translate.
I ❤ my tipsy notes and drinking to type them:earboy2:

I don't think I could get past the ant salt rim :scared:
You easily could if you like me didn't even know that is what you ordered.

:rotfl::rotfl: The next rose gold ears!
That's my hubby. Staring Disney trend, after Disney trend

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We got Casey guinea pigs today and we told her that in other cultures people eat them. She proceeded to tell us guinea pigs are friends, not food

:rotfl: 🍍:rotfl::rotfl:I have no idea why that pineapple is there and I can’t get the bugger out so just pretend it’s not there !
Move along. No pineapples to see here 🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway just wanted to say thanks for brightening my rainy Monday morning and making me laugh out loud with your tipsy notes. You are definitely not alone when it comes to candy floss anatomy :scared1::rotfl::rotfl:
Glad I could brighten your day from across the pond. There really is something about cotton candy that looks like female body parts to bring the world together.

Will I get a special picture sent to me at some point of this??? Because that truly beats the CG chocolate and the redheaded whatever in MK 🏴‍☠️
Sadly know. We were on the plane when I took the picture of the cotton candy so I thought it wise not to pose with it :earboy2:

When we were in Tutto Gusto in August we debated whether we wanted to do Via Napoli again soon or try Tutto Italia again - it's been years since we were there but we remember it being good. Don't think we'll get to either in Sept. but VN rarely disappoints!
I so want to get to the Tutto Gusto cellar. Just couldn't convince Jason that red wine and cheese was a good idea on a 100 degree day!!!

Hmmm...Chinese anatomy and ample hills...the 13 year old boy in me enjoyed this update. Heck, the 46 year old boy in me had a laugh too!
The 13 year old boy in me too :P

Glad you enjoyed Via Napoli again. I can't imagine a trip without going there. Although I am very far from the "golden spoon award" and should probably branch out to some different restaurants, Via Napoli has been so consistently good that it's really my most enjoyable meal there.
We are so in the same boat. There are so many good restaurants in Disney but Via Napoli calls our name just about every time.

Via Napoli is always a favorite of ours! Glad you weren't eating puppies, BTW. Or Nemo
Clearly ours too! But strangely I do like puppies and Nemo as well :earboy2:

Via Napoli is one of my favorites . I am still in shock you switched things up with your pizza !
I have only been to Ample Hills once but definitely want to return. Soooo goooood .
I'm still in shock and made sure I went back to normal our normal order when we were back last month!

LOVE TIPSY NOTES!!! Can't wait to try Via Napoli for the first time this December. The problem is deciding on which pizza to order!!! :confused3
Oh I so hope you love Via Napoli. Just order all the pizzas and you should be set :D

As we entered the World Drinkcase Casey checked out her artwork from a few days prior.
Great pic!

How has there not been a run on these yet?
Jason is special!

I don't think I have even ever noticed those mugs.

they used to have a spicy one. I miss that one.

Calamari good nice dry sauce slightly spicy need kegs
Kegs would make it better.

Ariella (@StarWarsMomofGirls!) and her family were also at Via Napoli and the girls all took turns going back and forth between our tables.
It was kind of cute. And of course we had lots of time to kill waiting for our pizza. I got mine with pepperoni and pruscitto. It was really good!

Casey ooey foowyband topping

I got nothin’ other than Casey got her own.
You really must have been tispy if you let her have her own!

Oh my gosh, blasphemy that you didn't get the carciofi pizza!!! That's the only pizza we've ever gotten there ever since I read about it in one of your reports. Maybe we'll, too, have to branch out! Yuck, I still can't get over how much you like the tentacles of squid, and octopus. Just the thought of one of those suction cuppy things on my tongue makes me shiver in dread. Haha, the cotton candy! What were they thinking?

Move along. No pineapples to see here 🍍
:rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:Pineapples 🍍! What pineapples 🍍? I see no pineapples 🍍 anywhere! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Glad I could brighten your day from across the pond. There really is something about cotton candy that looks like female body parts to bring the world together.
You really did brighten an otherwise gloomy Monday morning :thumbsup2
I so want to get to the Tutto Gusto cellar. Just couldn't convince Jason that red wine and cheese was a good idea on a 100 degree day!!!
I really want to get there too! Red wine and cheese work in all weather for sure :goodvibes
The 13 year old boy in me too :P
He lives in all of us that 13 year old boy!

Jason is special!
Don't you know it! He's one of a kind that man child of mine

they used to have a spicy one. I miss that one.
Oh I so love a spicy margarita. Helps cut down on the sweetness which we all know I am not a fan of

You really must have been tispy if you let her have her own!
Tipsy. Done. Or perhaps all of the above

Oh my gosh, blasphemy that you didn't get the carciofi pizza!!! That's the only pizza we've ever gotten there ever since I read about it in one of your reports. Maybe we'll, too, have to branch out!
I know right? I recommend you do not branch out and stick with the good stuff. We went back in August and it was heaven

Yuck, I still can't get over how much you like the tentacles of squid, and octopus. Just the thought of one of those suction cuppy things on my tongue makes me shiver in dread.
Oh they are so good. We went out to dinner the other night and ordered calamari and Casey wanted to know if we could order all the legs :earboy2:

I really want to get there too! Red wine and cheese work in all weather for sure :goodvibes
You're speaking my languge

I'm so far behind on this report, but Luke and I just had such a great laugh over your tipsy notes from Via Napoli!
Hi there stranger!!! Glad my tipsiness could produce a laugh in far away lands

Love your tipsy notes!! :rotfl:

We've only been to Via Napoli once so far, and I don't remember what we got as it was several years ago. I would like to go again soon though.
Thanks! You should definitely hit VN up again. Some of my favorite pizza ever

No Rules Not Right

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. It was the last day of vacation.

We were up early and said adieu to Shades of Green before ubering to Animal Kingdom. Sadly the crowds didn’t get the memo that we were over them so we ended up waiting longer for a Bugs Life than our Flight of Passage fast pass!!!

But never fear for all of our patience we picked up our very own Nav’I along the way.

And Casey became an Instagram influencer with a wall photo all her own.

Speaking of the social media influencer that is my 8 year old Casey got her henna on

While Mama got her dumplin’ on.

These are chicken dumplings with ponzu from Mr. Kamals. They were straight outta Costco instead of Asia, but that didn't stop us from eating them all.

Strangely this was not enough to satisfy our hunger so we ended up using our Landry’s card for priority seating at Yak n Yeti.

To start Jason and I went with our Yak n Yeti standard: some draft Kirin Ichiban

And Casey elected to join her parents on the tipsy side with a Pina Colada.

Virgin of course

Despite my better judgment we skipped appetizers and went straight for the entrees.

Casey branched out on her own and ordered their soy lime noodles with some fruit and applesauce.

This tasted like nothing but overcooked, gummy buttered noodles to me but happy to have something of her own Casey knew better than to complain.

I was planning on getting my favorite ahi tuna nachos to eat, but Jason wanted a special they had and was concerned about it being too much food. I reluctantly offered to share with him and immediately regretted the decision.

Meet the surf and turf with flat iron steak and coconut shrimp. I’m sure this had some fancy Asian name but I don’t recall it so we’ll go with Bloomin’ Shrimp and Steak on the Barbie.

While I was having visions of Outback Steakhouse circa 1998 the steak was actually pretty good and was cooked perfectly medium rare and had a great soy flavor with garlic/ginger flavored butter on top. The coconut shrimp came from the same Costco as Mr. Kamal’s dumplings and the garlic mashed potatoes proved an odd accompaniment to the other flavors, but this was their Asian Outback impersonation after all. But the piece de resistance….

MUSHROOMS

The menu did not mention these nasty little funguy were in the veggie mix. Needless to say no veggies for me.

Only upside to sharing was having room for dessert. We normally are too full at this point, so I was thrilled to have some of their delicious Fried Wontons.

These are skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons with vanilla ice cream and honey-vanilla drizzle. This is one of my favorite things in AK as they eat like a crab Rangoon if the crab was instead cheese cake and the Rangoon pineapple. That of course makes zero sense, but trust me these are delicious.

While our entrée wasn’t my favorite, we love being able to walk into Yak and Yeti at any time and get a table with our Landrys card. Next time I’ll be sure to stick with my normal repertoire and while they don’t take Tables in Wonderland they will give you a 10% discount if you rub the Buddha for luck.

Or have an annual pass. I always get those 2 confused.

Continued in next post....

No Rules Not Right Continued

After lunch we escaped a different kind of yeti

And some dark and scary dinosaurs (which BTW is apparently very annoying to children if you say that in a “scary” voice incessantly while in line)

Not that I speak from personal experience or anything.

Before the gang sans me got their primeval hurl on.

My two peas in a really weird primeval pod.

I tried to get some extra fast passes, but when I encountered this.

We decided to drink instead.

We went to the newish Restaurantasaurs “Lounge.”

Lounge is a strong word given this is really just a small corner of the restaurant, but hey there was booze.

I got a Fermented Fossil which is their cool dinosaur name for a Mojito. This was pretty standard but strong so that means it was delicious.

#SadLastDayOfVacationPose

Jason got an Old Elephant beer and Casey something overly sweet and sugary, both of which come with a side of last day in Disney depression.

We figured we wouldn’t eat dinner since we had a late flight so we got one last Disney snack.

This is the Buffalo Chicken Dip with Housemade Chips. I’m a sucker for any and all things buffalo and this was spicy and full of blue cheese so I really enjoyed it. Plus for $8.99 it’s a great deal as you get a ton of dip and chips.

While we were eating some random British girl came up to the table and says oh is that the buffalo chicken dip. Before I could say answer she was reaching her hand into our bowl and EATING OUR CHIPS!!! I was so taken aback all I could muster was did you just eat my chips??? She was immediately mortified and began to apologize. Turns out she was a cast member who worked in the restaurant and thought the chips were like peanuts at a bar and out for everyone to eat. Maybe that’s a thing in the UK :confused3 Anyways she was very apologetic and even brought Casey a brownie from next door to make up for it.

As if that experience wasn't enough the bartender apparently hadn’t gone to Disney cast member charm school as he repeatedly called me sweetie. But I also hadn’t gone to guest charm school so his tip reflected that. :earboy2:

So if you want a cast member to eat your food and call ya sweetie, run, don’t walk to Restaurantaaurus. 🦕

Eventually we made our way out of the park, to the airport and on a plane, where Casey attempted to eat her anatomy cotton candy as one last vestige of Disney.

Disney trips should never come to an end but this was a long one so going home is never all that bad.

Up next we’ll officially wrap this up so the next tipsy party can get started.

Those are my favorite, too. Along with the wok-fried green bean appetizer. I ate my nachos by myself, last time I was at Y&Y. Oof but so. good.

Hey, tasty steak and decent shrimp are a small price to pay. I've never had room for dessert, either. See above.
