Hi All!
So long story short we ended up cancelling a one night reservation at Christmas to leave us with 9 borrowed points from our Feb 2020 UY so we could bank 33 points from 2019 to 2020. We are trying to decide all the options we have to utilize the points before they expire on 1/31/20. Here are the options we have thought of so far. If you have any thoughts, advice, other options please share, I love to have all the information before making the decision! Also, we have PAP and will be at Disney/Disney Cruise from Dec 18-30 and March 14-24 if this information helps with any suggestions you might have!

1.) Purchase OTUP and spend a weekend in January at HHI-we live 2 hours away.-would do this is only option besides letting them expire
2.) Rent the 9 points, how likely would this happen since we cannot transfer them and it is so few?-Best option if we could make it happen
3.) just let them expire-we would rather not do this!

I think in order to rent them, you’d have to combine them it’s OTU points to offer one night for someone,.

If it were me, I’d take an extra trip to HH!

Oh see that’s something I didn’t even think of! So if renting to someone with OTU I would have to add the cost of that in not just the price per point! Yep that HHI is looking better and better!

Yes, you’d just charge them for points Needed So if you have 9, you can add up to 24, which gives Up to 33.

Now, since January is a lower point, someone might be able to get 2 nights at SSR or OKW.

For example, if you booked with 20 points, you’d charge them your price per point for 20! Since MS charged $19/per point, you’d have to decide how to adjust to account for that.

I agree.a weekend trip just seems like more fun!

HHI is the best option to use the points. But I would not go spending the extra money for the OTU points JUST to save the 9 points.
It's probably the way to go, you would get a nice trip, but I just would not default to mentality of "OMG we absolutely must spend the extra 300$ to save those 9 points"
