Saturday, August 17 - Epcot - Part 2
I downloaded my PP pictures so I have to back up to include this shot because I am WORKING this fishy face so hard.
After lunch, it was time to check out the rest of the Mexico pavilion.
My little sister wanted these ears since they matched her dress, but put them back.
The we got on the Gran Fiesta Tour since it had no line and why not! It had been a long time since I'd been on this ride, not on any of my recent trips with my kids, but I know I rode it at some point on one of my high school or college trips. I was surprised how into this ride my sisters were. They thought it was really cute and fun. I think the lunch drinks might have contributed to our enjoyment of the ride.
I love the fireworks on the ceiling!
We headed back outside and hung out listening to the live music while SIL did some pin trading. I found this Miguel doll that I thought my kids would have liked - they went through a major Coco phase.
Next stop was the home of the prettiest bathrooms in the WS - Norway!
I didn't manage to get a FP, but the SB wait for FEA was only 45 minutes, so decided to grab a drink and get in line. But the drink cart and the bakery had huge lines so we went next door to China to get a round of drinks. These were from the Joy of Tea cart.
Looking at the menu, I want to say these are a: Canto Loopy (with Vodka and Cantaloupe Juice), Kung Fu Punch (with Vodka and Triple Sec), and BaiJoe Punch (Chinese Bai Jiu Spirit, Lychee, Coconut and Pineapple), I think the BaiJoe Punch is the white colored drink - both the cashier and the CM who handed it to my sister told her it was really strong. Honestly a bit jealous that my drink didn't come with a warning but okay. SIL got the bubble tea.
Drinks in hand, we headed back to Norway. The FEA wait had gone up to 55 minutes but it was hot and we were tired so just being inside anywhere sounded like a good time. Between the darkness of the queue, the drinks, and the exhaustion of being awake for close to 30 hours at this point, I nearly fell asleep standing up a couple of times.
Soon enough, we were on our way to Elsa's ice palace. This was another ride that my sisters enjoyed more than I thought they would. We also had a fun boat of ladies and we all had a great time singing "Let it Go" together.
SIL missed the memo about our pose
After the ride we wandered around the shops a bit and did some more pin trading.
Then we went to Kringla for some snacks and our Norway drinks. SIL and Big Sis shared something that had almonds on it? I wasn't paying attention because Little Sis and I were sharing Anna's birthday cupcake and it was amazing. There was like fudge or ganache or something in the middle that was delicious.
At this point it was about 5:30 PM and we hit an exhaustion wall and decided to give up our quest to get all the way around the world showcase. Test Track was showing a 45 minute wait so we came up with a loose plan to do TT, check out Mouse Gears and Club Cool, then head into the right side of WS to find dinner and a place to watch Illuminations.
On the way back up to TT, we came across a bunch of these guys! Are Disney lizards a thing?
Next up we finish up our evening at Epcot!
