The non-PTR, Pre Trip Report - How many trips can I get out of this AP looks like 1 more! - Updated 5/9

We are 26 days from our adults only trip and i cant wait! But i have had zero time to really think about adjusting the details.

Right now we have the following plan, which I have a feeling I will change but who actually knows! The main goal of the trip is food and wine and just enjoying the parks....

Day 1 - Arrival day we land around 2:20 this got pushed back a few minutes, but not really an issue. We are not planning on checking any bags so goal is to hop in an Uber or Lyft (Has anyone taken one from Orlando Airport? @Cloe Colton i think you did?) I know some airports only allow them to drop off not pick up so looking to confirm I can get one here. We will head to the Waldorf Astoria! I am pretty excited to check this hotel out! Hopefully our room will be ready when we arrive. We have no plan except for a Sorian FP from 5-6. I am hoping we can make it to this FP in the early part of the window, if we are way early i will try to move the FP up. Epcot is open till 11 for EMH but i am pretty sure food and wine booths close at 9. Either way this will be what we do for dinner.

Day 2 - we have the Tequila Lunch in Epcot at noon, my goal is to sleep in relax, maybe hit the pool if i can't sleep, before we head to Epcot. I am pretty sure this lunch takes about 90 minutes. I have a feeling I am going to need serious carbs AKA bread after... We have some FP for HS later but we wont be in a rush we want to make Tower of Terror at 6 and hopefully not be too intoxicated because that may not work on that ride! I also grabbed a FP for Fantastic as we haven't seen it in a while, I think 6 years, so why not. HS is open till 10. I will be stalking waits for MFSR this day and if they arent bad we will check out Galaxy Edge and get a ride in. I am really hoping we can fit this in here. (normally i would be reading the DIS and checking wait times leading up to the trip but haven't had that chance at all!) I will get on this shortly!

Day 3 - I am tentatively planning on all 4 parks this day! As you can see on this short trip this is out last full day and i haven't been to MK yet! As of now i plan on getting up EARLY for Galaxy Edge . Anyway up early SWGE, I have a breakfast at Oga's. Then I will head to MK for a portion of the day, hit up some of my favorites this will be where DH meets me, then we have Flight of Passage at 6, so we will head to AK, then we have a tentative dinner at Le Cellier, his request. I am not really sold on it and think I would much rather do more food and wine booths, but we have time to make the final call. We will try to catch the new Epcot Forever if we didn't see it on the first night. IF we fit in SWGE the day before i will skip that portion of the morning, and pick up at the MK portion of the day.

Day 4 - We leave! We have a 10:30am flight so we will sleep in (yes on a regular day I get up at 5am! So anything past 7 I think is sleeping in!) We will head to the airport hopefully make it home for school pick up and spend the weekend trying not to make the girls jealous that we were in Disney for a quick trip!

I typed this up and see a few places i may want to change things around, which is exactly why i made time to do this! Either way I am sure we will end up just winging it most of the time... Cause you know all the best laid plans....

All the tips and advice please, i also need to stalk the Food and Wine Menus i have a few things on my list but need a day to make a better list!

We did take a lyft from MCO and it was SUPER easy! They pick up right outside of baggage claim level (I think thats 2?) and when you order the lyft they'll give you a post number to wait by. There are a ton of signs outside to direct you where to go and its definitely a rideshare hotspot so you shouldn't have to wait long for one to pick you up! I ordered ours when the last bag was spotted on the carousel and we waited at most 7 minutes! I would probably suggest ordering on the escalator ride down to level 2 if you don't have bags!

Hopefully MFSR will still have lower waits! We rode it three times on our trip (all mid day) and never waited more than 30 minutes each time (although it was always quoted as 45 lol) I just wouldnt recommend single rider because theres absolutely nothing to look at in that line lol

Ok this is great news!! Def doing this, hoping we land on time and can grab the car quickly!

Well this is good to hear, i did mange to check wait times a few times today, and all were around 45/55 min so hoping we can do SWGE on day 2 and not have to be up at 5am on day 3! would really make for a better trip overall! Plus then i can try and figure out how we will make Feb work.... Did you end up doing the lightsaber or droid experience?? i think lightsaber right? Spoil the trip report for me!

We did the light saber! It was actually a super cool experience. I'm not sure how the droid making is but the light saber is actually very intimate and was super special. DH just watched and recorded the whole thing and even he enjoyed just being there. Its very theatrical/dramatic! I'm really glad we kept the reservation and did it! We actually got there like right before our time and were the last ones into the room because everyone rushed in and we somehow ended up with an awesome spot in the room!

This sounds awesome! Can’t wait for the vlog!!

Sounds like a fun, whirlwind adults only trip!

I would personally probably cancel the dinner reservation at Le Cellier just because it will let you do whatever you want that day.

There's a food and wine app! It has all the menus and you can add what you want to try to your wish list!

Whirlwind for sure, and I hadn’t been stressing about leaving the girls till today... so now I’m anxious, we haven’t left them more then a night before, and that was only to go to Brooklyn!

Ugh I so want to cancel too, but DH is allll about it. I’ll work on him! He wants to go there pretty bad but we haven’t been able to make it happen with the kids.... but now I’m thinking maybe in Feb! Oh ideas! Haha

Great there goes all my productivity today with this app, I want to try alllll the things!

I had no idea you had an adults only trip in the works. Got room for one more "adult" (used as loosely as that term can be)? :P

Sure! I am only using it to signify that all the people on the trip can drink... we may or may not be tipsy the whole time!

I am really bad at PTRs...

Some quick updates We booked flights for February and the trip isn’t nearly as long as I would like. But I will survive, that’s what I keep telling myself! It’s a short trip but it’s a trip, and our first 100% off site trip! What better time to try offsite out then a short trip!

I tentatively booked April and May, it’s looking like we will only be going in May as April is a hard sell since it’s only 5 weeks after Feb.

May will also be on the shorter side but longer then Feb, so still a good time.

That will probably wrap up our trips on these APs. If I’m lucky I’ll figure out how to squeeze in another one but doubtful, my ideally trip is a week in June but I’m tentatively taking on a new roll at work and it won’t fit in with the responsibilitys of that position.

I have a trip planned for next October but it will fall outside these APs and will probably not get a PTR....

Also looking a head I can do a week in Disney or a Disney cruise and I can’t decide which one to do, so that’s on my mind for 2021! Yes I am thinking that far ahead!

Anyway we leave tomorrow for our adult only trip feel free to following along on Instagram @laurenalexis6

We are back from an amazing Adults only trip.. have been back a few days now but it was so fabulous and i am excited to share it so i will probably start the trip report before i finish the other one and have two running... maybe... i can hardly keep up with one but whatever! So stay tuned for that!

I have 2 more trips (Unless i can get DH to sign off on another one) on these APs coming up so i will be around here a bit longer...

Feb and May.

February is my first ever off site stay! I am a bit worried but also really excited about it! We are running the princess races so there is a small chance we book onsite pop rooms for 2 nights just for transportation to and from the races.. Still waiting to see what we decide on that one... will porbbaly make a cal in the next few weeks. To be honest i cant even remember what i have shared about this trip so a quick run down:

Me and Maren will arrive on Wednesday mid day, check in to the rental get some stuff from target, my sister and her fiance will meet us we will probably go to dinner maybe a park (as in a playground), maybe Disney springs, this is most likely a non park day. Rob and Dillon are taking a later flight, i worry about this a bit since its Feb and weather can be iffy.. but fingers crossed.

Thursday we will most likely hit up Magic Kingdom, i debated the EMM but decided to pass we are a group of 10 and the cost seems crazy! So we will hit up MK, any must rides and then we have a 5:30 dinner at 1900 Park, one of the people traveling with us has never been to Disney and loves Cinderella so this is why we picked this meal. If we book an onsite room and my friend will stay there tonight everyone else will go back to the rentals. I do plan on seeing the MK fireworks this night, they are at 8 and Dillon has been looking forward to seeing them!

Friday me and my girlfriend will be running the 5K! After the 5K we will head back shower get dressed and head to HS, we have a Droid appointment for Dillon, i am way excited about this! Rob requested Italian for dinner before his 10K so i am deciding between Mama Melrose or Enzos hideaway.. anyone have any opinions? Then we will have an early night if we book on site rooms the guys will stay there tonight as the have the 10K the next day.

Saturday the guys will run the 10k, shower change and meet up. I am thinking we will do AK this day, but i am not 100% sure of our plans.. we may do AK morning Epcot at night. Or just do Epcot, i think Dillon will really love the Festival of the Arts stuff so i am thinking maybe we will spend some of the day checking that out!

Sunday we head home, others in the group are staying longer or doing there own thing but we will be heading to the airport around 9am

Quick trip but i think it will be fun anyway!

May is turning out to not be as long as i would like, so I have some splurges planned for this trip to make the most of it. ADR day is coming up soon so i will post about that!

This was a long no picture post so i am going to stop here!

Will you have a car in February? We drove to the 5k for Wine and Dine and it was (I feel) easy and worked out well for us. If not then I would say stay on property for the transportation just because at that early hour who knows what the lyft/uber situation will be.

We will have a car! OH tell me more about how this worked out for you!

This morning was ADR day of what will most likely be the last trip of these APs.

Its a 5 park day trip in May as of now just the 4 of us. I had a hard time making reservations this trip, but i got what i think is everything i wanted at almost exact times!

The Plaza for lunch
Chef Mickey for dinner - I don't love this one, but i don't see any other Mickey meals (with Minnie) for dinner that are calling me... may switch it out depending on the final plans - Suggestions welcome!
Hoop-Dee-Doo Which i am so excited about this one!
Arkeshus for breakfast, I am trying to not do many breakfasts as we aren't huge breakfast people(read Dillon isn't), and we are staying club level, but we loved this meal last time and its all her fav foods on the buffet, Capers, Olives and Smoked Salmon so it checks all the boxes.
Crystal Palace for Lunch we haven't done this in a few trips and we love Pooh!

As of now i am planning this trip as a bit of a splurge trip with club level and the poly so i think we should be good with only one sit down meal a day...

I hate Chef Mickeys lol but the options with Mickey and Minnie both for dinner are surprisingly limited :confused3. Hollywood and Vine is the only other that comes to mind. We did dinner at 1900 Park Fare this last trip and it was great but obviously totally different characters!

Hoop-Dee-Doo Which i am so excited about this one!

Yesss! :love::love: Hoop!

I love that all of Dillon's favorites are things that I won't eat lol

Yum!
