Question for u folks there at early opening...I get Disney is fully staffed but when they open up early does the park still fill like the magical Disney, is the atmosphere the same, the streetmoshere the same or is just like hey were open come in and just hop on rides. Just curious when they open that early if everyone and everything is so cheerful with Disney magic or does it take a couple hours for everyone to wake up and get into their grove.

This morning they let us in about 6:45, BG didn’t seem to open til 7:00.
We left Bonnet Creek in our car at 6:22 and we were parked, through security, and in line at 6:42. Got through the tapstiles at 6:56. Kept refreshing app but noticed everyone was too. I heard some excited yells but couldn’t choose my group until the join boarding group button lit up so it took me a second. Got BG 45 though which was way lower than I expected!

Oh shoot, my luck to change it the day before my HS park day! Now what to do tomorrow and Friday? Not sure what time to arrive now since seems to be no advantage to getting there super early. I wonder what the latest time is that you can arrive and get in by 7?

Yep, we're in the same boat. Is there any way to know if they'll do this again tomorrow, or go back to letting people in early??

We boarded All Mov bus at 7:09. Went to the far right again (completely empty bag and tap style lines) boarding group 97 at 7:21 AM. I’m happy with whatever BG I could get seeing as we slept through our alarm this AM!

Arrived at bag check at 604a, went to far right
Into park 645a
Starting to get BG at 7a, got one at 7:02, BG 18

Do you have to exit/open the app for it to update? Or does the Join Boarding Group button magically get enabled?

Take this with a grain of salt because I can’t verify the accuracy, but I just saw a report in a FB group that a travel agency had a special event in DHS this morning. The person didn’t say which agency.

Edited to add: It was confirmed that the Disney EarMarked Owners' Summit is happening at WDW now, and there was an event this morning for EarMarked travel agency owners.

Got 15. So happy since we got here at 430am and it was a free for all. Almost ready to be called.

I know this isn’t a popular opinion with the people who showed up very early this morning. But I think this is the solution to people showing up earlier and earlier.
When people show up very early Disney still has to staff all the entrance areas, buses have to run early.
If there is no advantage to showing up 3 hours early it will eliminate all those things.
If I was visiting the park I think I would be happier with this knowing I could get there a little before opening vs 2-3 hours before to get a BG

Mmm. Hopefully this is true and the reason for what has gone on for this morning so it doesn’t happen again.
