DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Speaking of dogs and fireworks, is it also common for cats to be scared shirtless of fireworks? Ours hid under the bed for most of the night.
Yeah, our moggy don't love em
We had a public service announcement not to shoot our guns up in the air at New Year's in hope of eliminating the multiple ER visits. Yeah, only in Kentucky
Now that is funny.
I like to start drinking early, keep it going most of the day, then tail off a few hours before bedtime. Then, no hangover. I've mastered that one of the years with a lot of practice.
We didn't get there till 6pm and.it was a 50 mile drive, so starting early wasn't really in the stars.

I've had a really bad year, what with losing my job in January and all, and rather than continue with the same ol', same ol', I'm going to not only turn the page and start a new chapter in my life, but I'm going to close the book and burn it. I'm starting fresh starting now. I'm going to work hard at finding a job, and then completing this medical coding review course and then get certified. I'm going to get back to being organized and saving money for vacations, something I use to do all the time. A new me...so, with that said, Hello fellow dads! My name is CapeCodTenor, (from the collective group: "Hello CapeCodTenor! hehehehe) and I'm a new me. There, I said it. Now the whole world knows. Have a good evening. I'm off to the Tiki Port (local restaurant) to meet the wife and daughter for our New Years Chinese dinner tradition, which is new this year.

So how is everyone on this lovely new morning?

Feeling great!

Hello CapeCodTenor!

And... sounds like a great plan to start off the new year!

Evening fellas! Just catching up on all the goings on. Had a painful ride home after Christmas. It’s normally a 7 hr drive back from my folks. But with road closures, accidents (including a 10 car pileup we missed by about a minute), and general shenanigans, the trip ended up being 12 hours.
The 101 was a parking lot between LA and Paso Robles for 3 days while the grapevine was closed.

We went from my folks place in Banning across the 210 to the 101, were stuck south of Carpinteria in bumper to bumper when we got news that the Grapevine opened up, took 20 minutes to go 2 miles to get off 101 North and reverse course taking the 126 back to the 5 and then cleared the pass. That side trip took about 7 hours. The remaining 5 hr trip home to Sacramento was actually nice because everyone else was stuck on the 101 and Tehachapi was closed most of the day.

Morning guys from a drizzly London. Xmas stuff is going away by the lovely Lady K, whilst I do some EOY stuff for work.
My name is CapeCodTenor, (from the collective group: "Hello CapeCodTenor! hehehehe)
Good for you.
But.....can we now call you "The artist formally known as CapeCodTenor"? TAFKAC?

Isn't the 101 always a parking lot? :teeth:
Isn't this conversation an SNL sketch?

Top O the Mornin Dads! Hope everyone enjoyed Christmas and had a nice New Years. It's been 14 days since I last sat in my office and I tell ya I prefer the view of the previous 14 days much better. Can't complain too much about being back at work as I head out Tuesday late afternoon for DDCC8. So today and tomorrow then the weekend then a day and a half and then I'm outta here again for week 8-)

I'm not back until Monday but then again I don't get to go to DDCC8.

So gents, Happy New Year! We are planning a short visit down to Orlando at the end of February, just DW and I. Grandma has agreed to watch DS so we can go apartment hunting around the city, and get in a day at one of the parks. We are thinking Hollywood Studios since it has so much new stuff, but I always feel like I should do Magic Kingdom if I can only do one park. Anyways, really looking forward to a mini trip!

Is it Monday or Thursday? Anyway, went in a worked a few hours today. May try to take next week off to make up for working today.

3 or 4 shots of whatever's there. Chase it with beer the rest of the time. You'll get there quick enough.

But you had Chinese food. It's looking up.

Just got an ad at the top that I should be taking the ferry from New Brunswick to Nova Scotia. That’s good to know next time I’m in the neighborhood!

I get all sorts of crazy ads on my phone and here at Disboards. I blamed Randall for the Russian brides website. Not sure who to blame for the bra ad, but I have enjoyed the model keep looping them over her shoulders. She's smiling, and so am I.

When you retiring? You get that view all the time.

Morning, gents.
Kids want me to take them to Home Depot... twist my arm.
Have a good one, all.

Not for me. That means DW has me doing work

Happy new year, guys! I'm at work preserving vacation days for my Alaska trip. It's not all bad--cleaned off my desk and now I'm trying to clean out my inbox.

CTRL A. Delete. All done. What you gonna do tomorrow?

And there's drinking around the world at Epcot. It's nice having so many choices.
