Moonlight Magic reservations

Hello,

I just made a resort reservation during the time of the April 21 MK event. However, isn’t there some period of time that needs to elapse from the booking date to having the reservation qualifying you to register early? I think I read at least a couple of days? I’m hoping my 4pm PST booking will let me register this coming Wednesday...

That was a close one. Good luck on Wednesday. We will be trying to get one too on Wednesday for the 28th. We haven’t tried yet in the new queue format.

I haven't done a MM since 2018. Do they send an email with the link to join the queue or do you go to the member page? Trying to figure out how to do this effectively AND continue to teach my class

You can find the link to the queue on the DVC website. I did it while I was at work too. You can enter early and keep working until it goes live. At that time they scramble all of the people who joined early and you find out where you are in the line. It gives you a pretty accurate count down as to where you are which was very helpful. I had a conference call at 9:00 and was able to complete the process just before the call. They closed the window shortly after I completed the transaction. Just as an fyi, you are not locked in once you get in the window to enter your info so time is of the essence throughout the process.

I’m actually confused by this. She completed t he process before her 9 am conference call? Does that mran thr whole process? How can that be if the window doesn’t officially open until 9 am? Do I need to have my phone with me the whole time? I’m not allowed to have my phone with me while at work / that’s why I’m trying to gauge how long after 9am until I’m actually done signing up ... so stressful! i wish they didn’t do this during normal work times.

I have not registered for moonlight magic with the “new“ queue system, only the old way, which was very stressful.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, this is the way I understand it. The official registration time is 9 AM, you can get on the website before 9 AM, click on the registration button and be in a holding queue. Once registration goes live, everyone who has been in the holding queue will be scrambled and asgined a number showing your place in line.

(It is possible that the previous time Alice Sr. registered The site went live a few minutes before 9am)

I'm sorry, I don't actually remember what time I got myself in. I was numbered roughly 2500 and it took approximately a half hour for it to get to me. And as Alice said you can do other things while keeping an eye on it in the early part.

Thank you, that’s helpful! I think I’ll get in the queue and drive to work an hour early so I’m there at 9 am with time to finish registering before I have to clock in. Fingers crossed!

Sorry all, it was the 10:00 AM conference call I was trying to beat. I entered the queue at 8:37. I got a number pretty close to the end of the accepted entries. It took about 45-50 minutes to complete the registration. One thing to note this was the open registration, I slept through the DVC registration. Here's the historic link if your interested.

Just membership as they have already verified you have an onsite reservation so when you log in, it will allow you to book

I had this all planned out weeks ago but my daughter complicated things when she told me that I needed to drive her an hour south of town (Kansas City) to work at a drug store for the day as part of her clinical practice towards her degree In Pharmacy. She needs to be there exactly when registration starts. I finally told her that we will leave 90 minutes early (8:30 eastern). Fortunately, I recently got an IPhone with Sprint connection. Before I leave, I’ll get to the point in the process where I’m just waiting to be put in the automated waiting line. When it gets close to 9 eastern, I’ll have my daughter check the phone so that I’m still on the page waiting for my number. If not, I’ll stop the car and make sure that I’m on that page. Once I get the number, I’ll stop the car when I get around 60 people away and sit until registration is complete. That should still give me enough time to get my daughter to the drug store on time.
if, however, there are any glitches with the internet connection, how long normally does registration go on before it’s cut off? I’m trying for the March 3 date and really don’t want to have to wait a week and take my chances at my last crack at MM.
